  1. Cash Coding Discussion/Notes: When I'm cash coding transactions, it would be really helpful to access the discussions/notes on the cash coding screen. When I have a question about a transaction, I have to go find it in the account to write a note for review. It'd be great to do that straight from the cash coding screen.

  2. Reports Projects Filter Staff:

    When filtering Project time reports by staff, is it possible to show only currently active (valid) users rather than any and every user ever associated with the account for all time? Can the list be alphabetized?

    Currently the list includes every user that ever existed including every instance of when Xero Support was invited (via a support ticket) as well as staff removed from the practice. Furthermore, it is in a random order.

Can a way be setup to do Invoicing for Drop-Ship items where we do not need to add inventory, but it is automatically calculated when invoiced to Track how many drop-shipments are being sent in a month and track the difference between the vendor price and customer price. Having to manually add to inventory is a lot of work.

  7. I'm an accountant and having advised our clients to adopt using Xero they often come to me with questions. It would be really useful if advisers could view the expenses and projects tabs even if we are are not subscribed to use them so we can help the client with issues.

  10. Are you able to generate comparatives button on the BAS's and IAS's for the previous period and the same period last year, like there is for tax returns? This would be a handy tool to use when reviewing.

  11. When I'm posting a payment to a vendor, and I choose a bank account to fund the payment, the accounts look like they're displayed in the order in which I created them. But the checking account I use most often is also my newest account and, therefore, is always displayed at the bottom of the list.

    Two potential solutions:

    • Allow us to choose the order in which the accounts are displayed. (This is my preferred solution)

    • Sort the list alphanumerically.

  12. Just a small business that needs only the most basic from xero. Payroll and bank accounts.
    Can "bank account reconcilation" be an add-on to the payroll subscription. Seems a waste to upgrade to standard when invoicing, bills, hubdoc etc are required.

  16. Per the attached screenshot, we are utilising tracking categories to track income and expenditure for two branches of a business with one ABN. Most of the reports can be filtered between tracking categories. I can see no reason that the GST reports should not be able to be filtered by tracking category, or even the Activity Statement report. We should be able to expect this filtering for ABN branches.

  17. In the old quote version, when adding an item it would search just by the item code which was great.

    Now it searches and displays even in the item description, so now end up with a big list to scroll through with description also showing, and especially as the font is bigger.

    Any chance this can be looked into and item search just looks at item code/name, without searching and displaying description,?

    HI community, thanks for your support here. While this isn't something we have plans for extending comparatives beyond 36 periods atm, it'd be good to get more detail on the ideal # of comparatives you'd be looking to run the report for, and what this would help your business do - Please do comment to share your views. 

    Other options you'll see you have with the new report, is that you can change the comparative period between Day, Month, Quarter or Year. 

  19. Recently, Xero implemented a security feature such that automatic superannuation can only be paid out of an account with bank feeds set up. This is not a problem for businesses whose automatic super was set up prior to the change, or whose bank account is with a banking service which allows for easily set up bank feeds not subject to disruptions.

    However, businesses who need to pay super from accounts that aren't so easy to get bank feeds for are kinda screwed.

  20. Have a way to make updates to multiple templates at once or somehow link templates. e.g. trading / non-trading companies, should be the same except for the trading statement/income statement. Would be handy to be able to make updates to both at the same time where possible
