  2. The new way of importing bank statements does not work for our company.
    Can XERO allow a permanent setting to default to classic import instead of having to switch there manually every time?

  5. Under the GL Summary Report(new) and GL Detailed Report (new), i notice they run by account code in alphabetical order as a result of which some Balance Sheet and P/L items are mixed together.

    How can i run both the above reports in a way whereby all the Balance Sheet items are on top in alphabetical order follow by all the P/L items thereafter in alphabetical order

    Can anyone help

  6. I already submitted and someone closed off my ticket incorrectly.

    I want the ability to have a default template for INVOICES and a different default template for QUOTES.

    Someone submitted this as already existing here https://central.xero.com/s/article/Set-default-invoice-quote-templates?userregion=true

    But the default invoice template set for the contact will override the organisation’s default template when you add an invoice, quote, customer

  7. I want to export my reconciled bank transactions and include the account number of the Customer. I can then use this file to link with other systems. At present I have to add the Account number via Excel VLookup function which is tedious.

    When setting up, I made the mistake of not including the account number is my Customer name field. Wish I had now but there is no way of doing a bulk update ofgf that field.

  8. Would it be possible to have the ability to search on a customers account for individual products that have been previously sold to them? We have customers that purchase various products from us and sometimes it will be months between each purchase. I have to open every invoice to see if the item is on there. Even if there was an update on the Products & Services page to list the products sold to each customer, I think it would help.

    Currently there are a couple of options for some here such as using Smart Lists to run a search to view all customers that have bought a certain item within a period.  

    Alternatively, you can run Inventory Item Details or Receivable Invoice Details reports could be useful where you can filter by a specific contact, item and/or description to understand what items and quantities of those items that have been bought by a contact with the in the timeframe of the report. 

    However if you'd like to see this option direct within the contact record, add your support to the idea here and we'll get a better sense of overall interest. 🙂

  9. Bank Accounts Cash Coding problems:
    xero auto enters "unknown" if payee not used
    No Quantity column for shares or livestock transactions
    Posted entries disappear which does not allow easy scroll up and down scrutiny of work done
    account code does not show for coded entries
    bank account description/particulars does not show as per bank statement
    ie simply make the bank statements screen like Banklink so I can move my practice.

    Hi Brian, appreciate your feedback here. However, in order for others in community to understand the specific idea they're supporting and to also share back with the right teams here at Xero we ask to keep one idea per thread. 


    We have an idea started that you can support for livestock calculations 


    I've adjusted your idea here specifically for showing the account code in the cash coding screen, and you're welcome to support others cash coding ideas or start others for ideas that are represented.

  10. Make archiving and restoring contacts more intuitive and user-friendly.

    Option for archiving contacts should be select from drop-down menu or click on "the 3 dots" and select.

    Having to find an historical invoice allocated to an archived contact in order to restore them is super-unhelpful and counterintuitive. MUCH better to include archived contacts in Contacts options and include a "Restore" option via "press and hold", drop-down or the 3 dots.

    Hi Bradley, have you tried archiving and restoring contacts from the Contacts list? From here simply select the contact/s you'd like to archive and you'll see the option at the top of the list turn blue for you to click.

    When you'd like to restore a contact you'll find the Archive tab as an option from this same screen, where you can click on the contact to open it's record and there is a blue Restore option in the top right.

  11. Bulk archive option for any contact either supplier and customer with no activity after 2 years or at least being able to run a report for the same inactivity (Smart list does not offer the options needed)

  12. Include the ability to set multiple pay cycles for the same employee. For example, wages are paid fortnightly but commissions are paid monthly. The dates are not aligned with the period if we use only one pay cycle.

  13. UK payroll - Have the ability to fully process 2 workplace pension schemes. We have 2 contribution schedules, one basic minimum level, one at higher levels. Sage can process both of these and send the correct contribution amounts to NEST. XERO is unable to do this and requires manual intervention in XERO and at NEST. This is crazy, surely I am not the only one with more than one set of contribution schedules?????

  14. Default invoice due date / contact due date can be set when integrated with other products that fed the invoices in. Currently it is overriden with due date from integrated system

    Setting due date so we can clearly see what is overdue is an excellent feature and would help significantly with accounts

  15. I do not like new invoicing, so I want to KEEP to original invoicing for as long as I possibly can Until End of Feb, without having to manually scroll down to the bottom of the page everytime I log in and manually select original invoicing every time.

    Hi everyone, while we appreciate your feedback here. With the retirement of classic invoicing in February, and to help customers get used to the new invoicing experience this default will continue to apply.

    As we continue to improve the new experience this means customers may find updates that help their workflow and adopt the new experience.

    The option to switch back to classic will be available and we understand this is the experience some customers may choose to use up until the retirement date.

  16. It would be great to be able to select the account on a repeating bill as 'CIS Labour expense' (I don't understand why it won't let you in the first place when you can select all other accounts by the looks of it?..)

  17. When in the contact section and viewing the activity tab, it would be useful to be able to view PDF invoice from that screen rather than click on an invoice and click the attachment tab (similar to the function in bills to pay).

  18. Can we have complete name of Chart of Account in Xero Expense. For eg, from screeenshot attached, we have x3 different Meal Chart of Account but as i can't see the complete name of the chart of account i have to go to different screen to find the right code.

    If we can see/have complete name of the chart of the account when submitting/editing Credit Card receipt that will be super helpful

  19. Needs 'Are you sure' pop up for Deleting Contact Files

    Its too easy to accidentally delete a file attached to a Contact. Needs to be an 'Are you sure you want to delete ...' pop up when deleting.
    Especially as it also doesn't populate in the history/notes section that anything has been deleted.

Add a second email address for an employee, for their payslips to be sent too - i.e. if payslips need to be sent to an employment agency each pay run, their email address can be added and payslips automatically sent here each pay run, rather than manually downloading payslips to send outside of Xero.
