Search Quotes by Product or Item Code
It would also be incredibly helpful to have the ability to search quotes by product or service item. Many businesses need to quickly reference past quotes for specific products, and not having this functionality creates extra manual work.
This could be implemented in two ways:
• Adding quotes to the product history so that the product record shows all related bills, invoices, and quotes, or
• Enhancing the quote search bar to allow searching by product number or item code.Either option would significantly improve efficiency for product-based businesses.

MTD for IT - Make available to users without a Xero partner
Allow self employed who are not VAT registered to use MTD.
I've just signed up to submit accounts via MTD with HMRC but Xero currently don't allow me to do this unless I use an accountant. I use Xero so I don't need an accountant... I'm now a bit stuck as HMRC require me to submit account for the current 2025-2026 tax year this way and I have no way of doing this. Reporting - Aged Receivables with bank details to create a debit batch
A Custom Aged Receivables report that can be generated with additional fields selected (banking details as per attached Netcash Template) for import to Netcash to create a debit batch. Xero will then also have to make provision for to the banking details fields on the contact's account as required by Netcash.

Invoices - Warning for unapplied customer credit when batch approving invoices
Xero does not alert you if a customer has a credit that could be applied during batch approval of invoices.
We batch approve and batch email all our invoices; it it is frustrating that we are sending out invoices without credits being applied.
Surely this would be easy to implement?

AU Payroll - Make Pending Approval button more obvious
I've tried to use the automatic super payments SOOOOO many times and was lost in it forever - now I realise there is a PENDING APPROVAL BUTTON that has to be pressed - I had not realised it is a button.
My idea for improvement is to make this look like a button and not just a highlighted word.
In pic you can see 'pending approval' is highlighted, but so is 'withdrawn' - which is not a button. In Xero all the buttons are larger and shaped as rectangles and unified. - Manual Journal Report (ability to extract manual journal entries with user details - for audit purpose)
- Adding company logo/image in Management Reports (reporting and presentation requirements)
- Payment Batch checker (to verify batch summary that was loaded in the bank. Reduce the risk of file being replaced by staff)
- 'Comma' to be displayed in 'Qty' column when generating invoices (better view of invoices to the reader)

When invoices are imported from Dext, Xero creates the invoice with the original PDF attached — but it doesn’t automatically include that attachment when the invoice is emailed to the client.Right now, I have to open each invoice and manually tick “Include attachments” just so the customer gets the itemised PDF. This takes ages when processing lots of invoices and makes it easy to miss one.
What I’d like
A simple setting that lets Xero:Automatically include the imported PDF attachment when sending invoices created via Dext (or any other integration)
Allow users to override/remove it on individual invoices if needed

Saves loads of time
Ensures customers always receive the itemised invoice they expect

Makes the Dext → Xero workflow smoother and more automated

Custom list of accounts per expense user/role
In "Expense claim settings" you can select from the chart of accounts which are available in expense claims, and there is a separate list for mileage claims. I would like to be able to customise these lists by user, or better still to be able to create user roles and assign customised account lists to each role. This is to prevent people submitting expenses against accounts that are irrelevant to them, and to simplify the expense entry process.

duplicate payable
We have around 15 different entities as part of our Group, each of them has its own Xero account.
In terms of payables, is there a way for Xero not only to flag (as it already does) any payable invoice that we try to add under an entity where it already exists but, instead, flag it also as a possible duplicate if the same invoice number exists across all entities within our Group?
This would assist in ensuring that a bill is not paid twice as it might be potentially already paid from another entity that is different from the entity where we are trying to add the payable invoice under.

hubdoc app sign in
Does HubDoc have any plans to make app sign in on mobiles easier? For example, signing in once with normal password, 2FA etc and then being able to setup to login using faceID. The sign in process on the mobile app is a nightmare and having to regularly login because the app logs you out is the biggest customer complaint I hear. I am going to search for other alternatives at this stage because my clients can't get past that functionality. If it's not easy to upload documents it is pointless.

Reconcile Period - Note Date of Accounts Dashboard Tile
When an account is reconciled and the report is created for the period, it would be nice if there was a little summary alert for the end date of the most recent report on the dashboard tile (i.e. reconciled up to and including 28 Feb 2025). This would help to make VERY clear immediately which accounts are reconciled to which date and help to plan which accounts need work or need a report and which are done for the reporting period you are working on.

Projects - Assign New staff to all Projects in Bulk
It would be great to have the ability to assign New staff to all existing Projects without having to open each Project individually. Perhaps a multi select drop down. Currently I am having to open 40 projects and add the new staff member in one at a time.

CIS - Apply CIS to spend money transaction
When preparing monthly CIS returns on xero you need to create a bill for the subcontractor and reconcile/mark the bill as paid. When you have clients that have on average 80 to 120 subcontractors the bill creation even with a bill template can be time consuming.
Something to consider is whether creating a bill could be removed from this process and the CIS return be prepared simply from a spend money to a CIS enable contact.
Also something else that can be time consuming when dealing with this volume of subcontractors is downloading the monthly CIS payment certificates as clients don't want them emailing directly to subcontractors. Navigation - Move up practice tools section on main menu
Navigation - Main Menu
Personally, I access practice tools and hubdoc / syft several times daily, I'd prefer not thave to scroll down to get to these. Settings and Subscription / Billing are access much less frequently and coud me lower in the menu.
Also the Xero Menu and Home Menu seem to do exactly the same thing? Could the main drop down menu therefore be moved over to the LHS where it was previously.2 votesThanks for your feedback, Tina. Invoice payments - Reword "Credit card processing fee" to include Debit cards
Have recently had a client complain that the card processing description says 'credit card processing fee' however the client paid with debit card and therefore doesn't think they should have been charged processing fee. This terminology needs to be updated to 'card processing fee' for more transparency.

AU Payroll Employee diversity field
Is there any way in employees card that we can set up a field to capture diversity (Aboriginal,Non-Binary) etc, I'm sure this will be need in the future.

Just Ask Xero (JAX) - Add Department, Reference and Branding Theme to invoice prompt
When sending through an invoice prompt, it leaves the department, reference and branding theme empty. Is this something I'm doing incorrectly or is this feature not yet available?

Nowadays everyone include a credit card surcharge when paying a bill. However when the bill is recorded originally, it is without the surcharge. When applying payment to the bill, if we are in the bill screen and we apply an amount higher than the original invoice it records as an overpayment and creates a credit note. There should be an option like in the bank rec screen where it allows us to type in the surcharge so that the surcharge takes the same character as the original invoice. Currently, I have to manually adjust the original invoice to include the surcharge before I can apply payment.

Understand it's not the flow you're looking for here, but one option would be once the payment comes into your bank account you could use Find & Match to select the bill and in the second section you could use the Bank fee option for the surcharge like you mentioned.

Duplicate Bill Review – Click-through Functionality
Enhance the Duplicate Bill Review screen by enabling direct click-through access to individual bills.
When reviewing potential duplicate bills, it would be helpful to click on any listed bill to open and inspect it directly. This allows users to quickly identify and resolve issues—such as an incorrect reference number—without having to search via another screen. After making corrections, users should be able to refresh the Duplicate Bill Review screen to confirm whether the duplicate warning has been cleared.
