  1. Can there please be a function to schedule an email remittance advice at the same time as scheduling a future bill payment. I schedule all bill payments throughout the month but have to record which dates I am scheduling different bills to paid in my calendar so I can remember to send a remittance advice on that day. Would be much more time efficient if could schedule a remittance advice to be automatically sent the same day the payment is made / bill is paid.

  2. When entering dates, can you please bring back the mouse scrolling function, where you could scroll down to go to the next month.
    Rather than now, we have to click the right button to go to next month.

  4. There is currently no record of changes to User registrations in the xero file. This is a failure of audit processes.
    A description for each user would be handy to identify the role of each person within the Organisation.
    A start and End date would allow for Temporary access arrangements.

  5. When reconciling a bill that was paid on the same day a popup shows saying "The bill was raised after the payment you are reconciling to."

    Would be nice if this basic logic was corrected and that message only shows if the bill was indeed raised in the future, not the same day.

    Seems like an entry level software bug for a junior to fix.

    Thanks for sharing with us here, Ian. When something isn't working as it is intended it's best to connect with our specialists at Xero Support who can escalate to our product teams directly. It looks like our product team have been made aware of this error and while we don't have an exact time frame of when it will be resolved it'd be best to raise a case with our specialists through Xero Central who can keep you updated directly through the case.

  6. Customer statement - with a customised due date option.

    The option to be able to email customer statements directly from Xero with a customised due date. Eg. Selecting email customer statements to 30th June and only invoices that are due up to the 30th June are generated and emailed (rather than everything that is invoiced on their customer card which in our case could be up to 12 months in advance).

  7. See who was selected as an approver by employees. If we have been selected as an approver by the employee, it is currently impossible to know if they also selected their appropriate approver to know if we should reject the timesheet or leave or if we can wait for the appropriate approver to approve the timesheet or leave.

  9. Ability to add bigger better quality logo's at the top of the body of invoices sent as emails.

    132 px x 37 px ends up so tiny and always blury (I have tried all formats but some sort of extra compression is going on in the backend. Don't look so good for us graphic designers ;-)

    Hi everyone, we appreciate the interest in being able to display logos as you need. There are a few different situations mentioned in feedback here and we want to explain and help clarify how logos are shown when using Xero. 


    The first is how your organisations logo is shown within the invoice email sent to your customer. This is taken from the organisation settings page. There was a period that impacted some customers where the logo quality was being reduced when sending with new invoicing. Taking on board feedback our team implemented a change in new invoicing so this should now be appearing correctly - If you’re finding your logo quality is not showing correctly in the invoice email please do raise a case with our team and they can investigate more on this with you individually.

  10. From Chart of Accounts, click on an amount in the YTD column. The account loads with the transactions in date order oldest to newest. Please reverse this (or create an option) for the transactions to load with the latest transactions first by default.

  11. Would like a report showing a list of bank account number changes. This would show original bank account number, new bank account number, contact's name, date the bank account number was amended and who amended the bank account number and to be able to print this as a pdf. This would be of great benefit because of fraud and also our Auditor has asked if we can produce a list of bank account number changes for a selected period.

    Hi everyone, while we don't have a direct report for this, some changes we've made to History & Notes in Xero will help in achieving what you're in need of here. 

    You can run the History & Notes, filtering by Type = Contact and typing 'Bank account number' in the Search to just view results for this action. 

    If needed you'll be able to export your results to PDF or Excel. 

    Though the contact name doesn't show on screen, you can right click on the Contact in the report to open the contact's record in a new browser tab, that allows you to inspect details without navigating away from your History & Notes results. 

  12. Expenses search and sort.

    If you only have access as a user and not full access to the accounts, searching past expenses is a painful experience.

    What a painful thing searching for expenses in Xero is.

    Can't filter by date range, or search for a particular description, or search by account. And they're in some unfathomable order which you can't sort by date.

    Suggestions: Sort by date option to help answer questions like 'did I remember to file that expense 3 months ago'

    Filter on date range: 'Show only expenses between January and March last year'.

    Hi everyone, while we appreciate and initially provided a solution for the idea here within the new invoicing email modal, we wanted to return as after further testing this feature has needed to be removed.

    That said, we know being able to add basic formatting to your emails is important to some of our customers and while the tool bar has been removed you can still add basic html formatting to your emails to bold, add italics or underline text within the invoice emails you send to customers.

    • Bold = <b> and </b>
    • Italics = <i> and </i>
    • Underline = <u> and </u>

    We understand not all customers are familiar with these tags so I've added an example image that shows the different tags that can be added and how these will show instantly within the email preview so you can make sure you email looks as you expect.

  14. In the new invoicing version, when selecting the billable expenses, I can't see the date and the supplier in one view. In order to see the date, I need to scroll to the bottom of the pop-up screen, then scroll across to the right, then try to scroll up to find the line item. I then can't see the supplier to know if that is the correct line to add. Sometimes there are 30+ billable expenses for the one client and I can't see the dates to know if I'm selecting the correct ones.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate your feedback on the billable expenses window within new invoicing and trouble this can cause for currently assigning billable expenses. Our product team are exploring changes in this and we'll keep you updated of developments for this here.

    As noted by some, you can currently scroll horizontally to view each column. If you have lots of items you may need to scroll to the bottom and then horizontally.

  15. Currently, Xero does not have the feature to assign certain working days for part time employees. This becomes very frustrating when doing payroll.

    For instance, an employee works Wednesday to Friday and when a public holidays falls on a Monday, Xero will allocate either all or some of the employees ordinary hours to this date incorrectly. This means we will have to manually adjust it each time.

    A simple resolution would be to set up employees to certain working days, then the public holidays would assign correctly and there would be no need to manual adjustments.

  16. Be able to integrate the payroll calendar on Xero with iCal, so approved annual leave automatically appears in my iCal without having to duplicate entries, and updates if someone changes their leave on Xero.

  17. With the implementation of Google and Yahoo email security please enable the ability to send out invoice, quotes and statements using our own domain.

    We are seeing more emails that are sent from within Xero being flagged as Spam or put in Quarantine, especially if the recipient is using Outlook 365.

    Xero needs to implement the ability to send from Xero from our own domain.
    Please furnish us with SPF sending ip/include host name and DKIM certificate. This will reduce the number of email blocked/junkmail, and increase the security of mail sending.

Invoicing - increase the number of invoices that can be sent on the Ignite Plan or have another plan between the ignite and grow plans that allows more invoices to be sent and bills to be entered without the current extras in the grow plan. The jump up in cost between these plans is too much.
