  1. Hi - it would be great if there was an indication on the Demo company when the data will be reset. We know it is every 28 days but when is the 28 days up. I've lost demo testing in preparation to show a client how Xero can help them.

  3. Currently remittance advice can be sent based on payments. It is not possible to send multiple remittances at the same time without using the batch payment method.

    As we have a lot to send, is it possible to look into some ways to send some remittance advice in a more efficient way for cases like with several payments to one person or multiple advice to multiple receivers? Or any automation for regular ones? Instead of downloading PDF one by one / sending email by payments one by one?

  6. I often collect cash payments that I then create invoices for, rather than having to click on Approve then click on Add payment, it would be great to have the option to Approve and add payment in one click.

  7. Report dates
    On financial reports. Instead of last financial year of this financial year wouldn’t it be better to have the years as the selection ie 2024/25 2023/24 2022/23. it will be much quicker to select the year especially is going back further than the current year.

    I know it's a little different to what you're directly asking here, but perhaps comparison columns and saving as custom could help where you can run the report for multiple date ranges at once and view the comparison across each?

    Hi community, rounding back on the idea here we have just released the new General Ledger Detail report which includes the ability to view by Date and now also add Journal ID as a column within the report. 

    Once you've got the report set up how you like, save it as Custom to return to this same layout whenever you need. 🙂

  9. Make the functionality of quotes similar to invoices, e.g. import quotes, bulk approve quotes, bulk send quotes. I recently had to send out 417 quotes for the same thing and they had to all be done individually which was extremely time consuming. If they had been invoices, I could've imported them on a spreadsheet, approved them all at once and sent them all at once. Instead each one had to be done individually.

    Appreciate your liking to invoices in Xero, Angela. Each functionality would need to be considered in isolation so I've changed the title of your idea here for bulk sending.

    We don't have any direct plans for this right now, but we'll begin to get a sense of the interest and keep you updated of any change, here.

    You'll find an existing idea for import/export of quotes that you may like to join as well. If there's any other feature like this that you'd like to see welcome to start another idea. 🙂

  10. ABILITY TO AUTOMATICALLY CHANGE ITEM PRICE ON A SPECIFIC DATE

    Obviously item prices vary and when we give customers notice of a price change, sometimes this is months in advance. Now I know I could add a note to the item, but seriously, this would mean checking the notes for every item which would become very tiresome + time consuming.

  11. As it stands the "template" is largely superficial, whereas a template should be meaningful.

    When I think of invoice templates, I think: unit prices, quantities, etc... much like your "repeated invoices" except the repeated invoices don't include dynamic dates. Monthly billing for a team is a nightmare.

    So either expand the templates to include meaningful features, or add dynamic dates to the repeated invoices. Preferably the second option so I don't have to constantly rebuild invoices for my team.

  13. A report to show who and when the account lock dates were changed.

    If transactions are entered into lock periods this causes Xero to ot match the closed periods where accounts may have been submitted already. Currently there is no way to see who or when the dates were locked.

    Hey community, thanks for all your interest in this idea! It’s clear from the comments that identifying when changes are made, and who has made them would be really helpful.

    This morning we rolled out an update to the financial settings screen for all Xero organisations to enable History & Notes  🎉

    When you add a lock date, it will appear on the History & Notes table below and, for advisers, the History & Notes screen.

    I’ve attached a screenshot so you can see this in action and, for more information, you can check out our Xero Central article Set up your organisation's financial settings.

  15. When printing an invoice I would like to go to the customer's account and bring forward the balance that is on their account.
    And have this balance on a line above the net amount for this invoice, which would then add the gross amount to the brought forward value and have aline below the gross amount of the invoice, showing the total amount that they owe to date including this invoice.

  16. Could you please look at making the e-invoicing toggle button as default.
    This will allow the invoices raised in Xero Practice Manager to be sent to Xero and then sent in Bulk (email multiple clients from awaiting payment) rather than selecting it manually. This will save a lot of time and also allow the other side to receive the invoice in their system.
    Currently what it is doing is getting us to go into the invoice and then manually toggle this for clients we know are setup for e-invoicing. If this is handle automatically it will achieve its true purpose.

  17. From "business" then "bills to pay" or "invoices" and click on "export" from a search result, the payment dates are missing in both the Invoices and Bills export files. Only the invoice dates and due dates are exported. Please add payment dates to the reports. Thanks.

  18. GST Rec - 2 Simple ideas.

    1. In the GST Rec report you could add drop down dates (as you have in the other reports) so you can easily pick the prior financial year as an option rather than having to pick the dates.

    2. A GST report that showed the late claims that relate to the prior financial year.

  19. Lock dates should be on main dashboard for Advisors. The setting is buried three layers deep when it needs to be preferable on the main dashboard taskbar. It is very annoying when there you have a client with Advisor privileges who also likes to make backdated changes. Either the lock date option should on main dashboard or allow journals to be outside of the lock.

  20. Not sure about other pensions, but when using NEST, Xero doesn't currently link up how you would like it to.
    Whether you pay staff monthly or weekly, you are bound to have a cut off date for calculating hours which is before the date you send payment to employees.
    The info that gets shared when filing the pension records is the "payment date". This physical date falls under the following pay period meaning when the info is transferred to NEST it comes up as the wrong period.
