  1. I'd like the ability to delete a super fund from an Employee's Employment tab where they originally had two super funds operating in parallel, and then closed one of their accounts. Currently the obsolete super fund can not be deleted, and can only be updated, which means you end up with two of the same super funds in the employment tab.

  2. GST - where an entity trades in different tax jurisdictions, allow the file to create the ability to manage GST for different countries (different GST codes) in separate GST accounts and not all consolidated into one GST account.
    eg if an entity trades in Australia and New Zealand, you can have an Australian GST account and a NZ GST account to make reconciliation and completion of BAS easier.

  3. Now that NZ has 7 days transactional banking by all banks, can BNZ who is only providing Xero with bank feeds Tuesday- Saturday, (per Xero support) now send Monday- Saturday, so Saturday/Sunday transactions can be reconciled Monday's and information be up to date.

    Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on the frequency of the BNZ bank feed. We understand that getting timely transaction data is crucial for keeping your accounts up-to-date.

    The way the direct feed from BNZ is currently set up means that transactions made over weekends and public holidays are sent through to us on the following business day. This is why you'll typically see these transactions appear in Xero on a Tuesday.

    We will keep this idea open for the community to continue voting on. Your votes help us, and our banking partners like BNZ, to gauge demand and prioritise these potential improvements. We’ll be sure to post an update here if there’s any news to share.

  4. Requirement to have flexibility in how Long Service Leave is recorded for Victoria for casual employees who have taken multiple periods of parental leave and unpaid leave so small business is able to record number of weeks and entitlement due date and be able to accrue the entitlement of .80 weeks per year of service (and have that show on their pay). At the moment we are unable to show the employee the entitlement in weeks - only hours. The hours paid per week will be variable depending on when they take the leave so having this flexibility in Xero…

  5. Currently you can only view the official submission receipts and their associated IRmark via an XML file. It would be nice to see this in a more user friendly manner and without all the associated coding tags and data.

If Reimbursements are meant to be used for certain allowances then we need to be able to set up units and unit rates in the same way as we do for allowances, otherwise the calculation becomes a manual one and leaves room for human error. It also means reporting is not clear on how the amount was calculated as even though you can enter a description on the payslip i dont beleive there is a report that summarises this.
    ie for overtime meal allowances you should be able to show how many you have paid and at what rate so…

  12. Amend status of timesheet - I accidentally ran a Pay Run without having approved the timesheet. The status of the timesheet then was Approved, and didn't become 'Processed'. An 'Approved' staus meant I couldn't change the calendar setting s etc for the employee. It becasme a challenge to do what was necessary to get the status to 'Processed'.

  14. Save and Next option for Timesheet approval.

    Rather than having to go back to the beginning for each and every timesheet approval you should be able to save and view next in the same way you can with bills.

I have an employee with an Attachment of Earnings Order (AEO) and whilst I have been able to set up the amount to be deducted on the payslip template each month, it appears that it is not possible to enter an opening balance on Xero for this deduction. I don't know if it is usual to show a YTD figure for AEOs - certainly Student loans have a YTD figure on the payslip and I would imagine that it will feature on the P60, but I can't see how Xero is going to produce this correctly without allowing me to…

  16. STP2 Allowances. Not reportable at W1 should push that information through with STP, but it doesn't. Using reimbursements as a work around is not good enough - better syncing is needed.

    This report shows the pay period YTD per employee as well a breakdown of the different NIC thresholds.

  19. The leave process is not flexible enough. Once a request is approved, it can't be changed - only declined which is incorrect. Need to be able to amend/delete after approved. There should be the option to book as days not hours as our employees have day entitlement, this should also be able to be shown on payslip as days remaining. Why also is the leave balance report not being opened to UK

    Hi team, currently a user with payroll admin permission has the ability to edit approved employee leave requests, by going to the employees record, clicking into the leave tab, selecting the three dots where they'll see the option to edit.

    In regards to setting leave to be based on days this isn't possible as the earnings are based on hours, and cannot be set to days.

  20. Bring back 'Save' prompts when changes are made but not saved before you navigate away from the tab.

    This was previously existing functionality and has now been removed.
