New invoicing - Option to turn off 'mark as sent' pop-up
Stop "Mark as sent" pop-up for every invoice. When making multiple new invoices, this pop-up occurs for each invoice made, no matter if reminders are turned off. This is new, started April 2024, and XERO support states there is no way to turn this off.

Bank Reconciliation - Option to disable the "Suggest previous entries" feature for users
Please add the ability to switch off the suggested reconciliation entries for individual users or for all users if easier. It is a setting that shows an OK button that looks a lot like the OK for rules and other matches, and it makes users trigger happy with the OK, which leads to reconciliation account coding errors.

Bank feeds - Add option to include job numbers in the PayPal bank feed uploads.
Hi Xero, please could you consider adding the option of including job numbers in the PayPal bank feed uploads. I am aware the data in the statement lines imported into Xero on the feed, is provided directly by Paypal themselves. But it would be very useful when looking at costs per job as we use PayPal to pay many providers globally in a day and PayPal is the best option for them an us, the job number would link the invoices to a job.

Invoice list view - Ability to tally by checkbox with search applied
Please add option to show invoice values excl/incl tax in invoice list views
Bulk invoice features. We would like to see more functionality added to the bulk editing in the sales overview/invoices:
- Bulk editing of Due dates
- Bulk editing of Expected date
A more consistent 'Tally by checkbox' - this works really well in the invoices lists where a sum of all checked invoice values are shown but this feature is missing in invoice searches.3 votesHi Jonas, it's best if we have each idea as a separate thread in the forums here so other members know exactly what they're adding their vote for and our product teams can gauge the interest in a specific feature.
I see you've already found and voted for this idea on bulk editing expected date. I've also just added your vote to this idea on bulk date change, and I'll slightly amend the title of your idea here for the 'Tally by checkbox' when you have a search applied.
While the current amount due shown on the list view will show as tax inclusive, if you'd like to view inclusive v exclusive you could run the Receivable Invoice Summary report where you have the option to add Gross, Net and Tax columns. Alternatively if there's a specific reason you'd like to view this from the list of invoices welcome to start a new idea for it specifically and share any detail of what this'd help you with.

Bank Reconciliation - Allow the Tax Setting to Default to Tax Exclusive
When creating new 'spend money' transactions during bank reconciliation, allow the tax setting to match the tax setting in financial settings, if set to tax exclusive, so that it doesn't just default to tax inclusive.

Xero - Maintain previous design style in Xero
Keep the Xero Classic Look everyone preferred.
The design of the New Invoicing, Bills and Fixed Assets pages are sadly reminiscent of an excel spreadsheet.
One of the enjoyments of the Xero software compared to its competitors are the fresh, clean pages that make it inviting to use. When changing to new function, Xero has changed its design elements and is missing the 'attractiveness' that has been part of Xero's signature branding.
Specifically black text, flat checkboxes, grey cell borders and grey column headers makes it feel like an outdated 1990s program.
I am hearing similar comments from my clients. Although functionality is a priority, the design of a product is very important to the experience of using the software.
Recommendations to keep with the blue accents, shadow checkboxes and less obvious cell borders would bring the page back into the modern fresh feel that made it more appealing to use as a business's main accounting tool.

Purchase Orders - Option to part-receive
Receiving part orders. No "back order" capability. So what is the point of using purchase orders when you can't change to a "Bill" if only part of the order has been sent/received?

New Invoicing - Files - 'View' and 'Delete' UI
There is a significant design flaw in the new Files UI:
1. The delete button will remove an attachment on a single click, rather than prompting a confirmation.
2. The 'View' file button is directly next to the delete button increasing the chance of accidentally clicking delete instead. Given the point above there's no way of recovering the attachment as clicking it will instantly remove that file.In the old invoicing you could simply click the file name to view rather than clicking a 'View' button. The delete button was under a cog and initiated a second click to confirm deletion of an attached file.

Bills - Split once paid
Allow the split on a bill that's been paid to be modified.
2 votesHave you heard of Find and recode, Wade? This could possibly assist with what you're asking here. As the changes made using this tools aren't reversible it is restricted to users with the Adviser role, and we highly recommend trying it out in the demo company before using in your own.
Alternatively the best way to make changes to the bill would be to remove the payment, Edit, then reapply.

Quotes - Bulk send
Make the functionality of quotes similar to invoices, e.g. import quotes, bulk approve quotes, bulk send quotes. I recently had to send out 417 quotes for the same thing and they had to all be done individually which was extremely time consuming. If they had been invoices, I could've imported them on a spreadsheet, approved them all at once and sent them all at once. Instead each one had to be done individually.
4 votesAppreciate your liking to invoices in Xero, Angela. Each functionality would need to be considered in isolation so I've changed the title of your idea here for bulk sending.
We don't have any direct plans for this right now, but we'll begin to get a sense of the interest and keep you updated of any change, here.
You'll find an existing idea for import/export of quotes that you may like to join as well. If there's any other feature like this that you'd like to see welcome to start another idea. 🙂

Expenses - Inbuilt calculator
The sum and subtract function in invoices is a great feature; it would be great to use it in expenses as well. I often have to itemise a gross expense total into separate items with different VAT treatments. It would be useful to subtract the itemised line amount from the gross total directly in Xero rather than using a calculator.

Subscription - Read only data access for cancelled subscriptions
Can the data be access in a read-only mode for cancelled subscriptions?
Often historic data has to be referred to but once a subscription is cancelled, you are no longer able to view any of the data.
To differentiate between active and cancelled subscriptions the company can be marked in red.6 votes -
NZ GST - Include Payment due date on finalised/filed
Where have the GST due dates gone from the new GST Return layout?
Also would it be viable for Xero to default no GST for transactions up to a certain date considering some businesses are registered from any point during a month.

GST - Ability to transfer refund to an associated tax payer
We would like the ability to transfer a GST refund to another tax payer. It can be done if we file online at IR and we would like Xero's GST return to file automatically with this feature. We have associated groups and have refunds that we want to offset against another tax payers GST to pay.

Expenses | Navigation - Hold filters when processing expense claims
Currently, when filtering expenses by name, the settings reset to default each time an expense is opened and closed.
Please update it so that the filter settings remain active, eliminating the need to reapply them for each expense viewed.
Also, please add a date filter setting

Bills - View file attachments on a separate browser tab
I work with 2 screens - when entering a bill it would be really useful to be able to view the xero transaction on one screen and view the attachment on the second screen. Currently the bills sometimes have such small print you have to really zoom in and move around the screen to be able to read it. I am aware you can open it as a separate document, but this wastes as much time trying to zoom etc. Many people now work with 2 screens so I think this would be a really useful function.

AU Payroll - Superannuation end of quarter reminder
Would be great if Xero could trigger an automated (email and/or text) reminder to the superannuation payment approver 10, 5 and one days out from the superannuation due date each quarter.
A similar reminder feature already exists in XPM for Activity Statement Lodgements - reminders can be turned on.
Xero also has the ability to automate reminders to Customers around bill payment.
Xero has the email and SMS of the superannaution approver already on file.
Advantage of these reminders:
Super gets paid on time - we're all human and life can take over and sometimes things get missed - a reminder is an additional prompt.
Continues to reinforce to the client the importance of the payment, and that the approval should be made well before the due date
Reduces the risk of late super payments, which have a negative impact on clients - lack of deductibility, additional penalties, and additional SG liabilities - this also has a cost impost in the preparation of SG statements by advisors, and can create friction between the client and the advisor around "why these need to be done"
