  1. We often need to create invoices to the same customer with different attention to contacts. Since this field reads in from the customer card, when an old invoice is reprinted it picks up the current details from the customer card, which is inconvenient as we need to research who it was originally sent to and amend the invoice.

    It would save us time, if once an invoice is posted, this field is locked in and does not change.

  2. Number of fields for projects is really poor, I need a tracking category added to projects so for example we can have four different types of projects which I want to categorise in the initial project set up. When costs and revenue are then allocated to this project it's also automatically allocated to the tracking category associated. At the moment I'm having to manually allocate to every transaction. Would be made easier if like sage they had a copy above function but we don't even have that either, so clicky!

  3. I have multiple clients who have members. They like to keep their members date of births on file, so they can send them birthday emails, or if they are over a certain age can get a discounted membership. It would be great to have either a dedicated date of birth field, or like some other accounting softwares a few open fields, that we could name per file, for additional required details, like date of births, member types, allergies, voting member etc. I'm sure these fields could be useful for other types of businesses as well.

  4. It would be useful if we could search for invoices/suppliers/amounts/Invoice references in all organisations listed within our Hubdoc portal. Meaning one search bar that searches all organisations, no just the one that is open at the time.

  5. When a sales invoice is created, when you get the message Invoice saved, please also displau the new invoice number, so that is doesn't need to be looked up.

  6. Implement a feature to make it easier to ensure purchase bills are paid only after the corresponding sales invoice has been settled by the client. Ideally, this could be achieved by adding a visibility feature, such as a dedicated column (along with the already existing Type, Reference, Issue date, Due date, Paid date, Paid, Due, Total, and Status) in the ‘Activity - Bills’ tab of a contact. This would eliminate the need to manually search for each sales invoice or purchase bill reference. This column could be optional, as the others are.

    Interesting idea here, thanks for sharing. Will be good to get a sense of the interest and other businesses that process sales and payments in this manner. Being open it's not something we have plans for atm, but we'll start to track the idea here and let you know if there is any plans made.

  7. Set credit card accounts as liabilities, not assets. We are not a bank, so credit cards are properly liabilities. There should be no reason these accounts should be reported as assets in any circumstance.

    I can't set Account Type for bank accounts unless there is a feed associated with it. Even though, I'm not sure what good that actually does, and we don't have feeds for all our accounts. "Credit Card" is an available account type for bank accounts when they are feed-enabled, so adding credit cards as bank accounts appears to be what Xero intended, and that's what we…

  8. VAT In the VAT boxes you have to "adjust" the figure rather than entering the relevant amount. Why can't you just enter the figure and move on. It would be much easier. Also you can't delete what you've done in a box or re-start the entire return. In my view it makes Xero a sub-standard product.

  9. Payroll Employee Summary Report

    Is there a way to have this report show the actual period the wages are for? Currently the report shows "for the period 17 April 2024 to 17 April 2024, which is the date the payroll is paid. BUT the period is actually for 10 April 2024 to 16 April 2024.

  10. When going into a contact in the web version oif Xero the paid and unpaid invoices/bills are listed in date order with the newest first. This is not the case in the Android App version and it is really annoying having to scroll through (in one case) 200 invoices to get to the most recent.

    Can the App versions please go newest first like the web version..

  11. Ability to restrict which pay items an employee can view in Xero Me to only those that apply to that employee. Without this ability employees sometimes choose pay items that do not apply to them. Most often this is picked up at the authorisation stage but why allow the possibility for error in the first place.

  12. I would like to be able to add any available report into a practice Report Pack. At the moment, the available reports are limited to those within the Financial Statement realm.

    I would like to produce a report pack that had all the reports i need for my annual working papers:
    - Employee wage summary
    - Bank Rec
    - Tax depreciation report
    - GST rec reports

    etc etc.

  13. Would like to be able to find and recode transactions in bulk or have a report somehwere, where we can search the "include Adjustment to Tax" amount on any transactions. There is currently no way to find transactions that have this and to correct we have to find the batch payment, undo, edit the invoice, approve and re-batch. Not ideal.

  14. For Purchase Orders:

    1) Able to assign departmental head for approval ( email goes to manager for approval and they can click and approve ) . Can create a approval level all from Xero to email.

    2) Able to see budget against PO , once budget uploaded approver or procurer can see department or nominal account budget before approval.

  15. Add a feature for expense claims where the user can email to a certain email address that's associated with their account. It automatically matches to the claim. Concur in US has this feature and it's pretty great.

  17. Amend status of timesheet - I accidentally ran a Pay Run without having approved the timesheet. The status of the timesheet then was Approved, and didn't become 'Processed'. An 'Approved' staus meant I couldn't change the calendar setting s etc for the employee. It becasme a challenge to do what was necessary to get the status to 'Processed'.

  18. Greetings, is it possible to add a "Make a Deposit" option to the + Menu in the task bar? We've studied the batch deposit procedure, and it seems cumbersome. It would be helpful to have a simple process to click Make a Deposit from the main options, have the Undeposited Funds account appear, select items from the Undeposited Funds account, choose which account to transfer funds to, and save the deposit with the option to print a deposit slip and summary. If you already have this process in place, I would like to learn it, please. Thank you.

  19. Delivery Address:

    To have the ability to add a delivery address when raising an invoice that can be printed onto the invoice. This would need to permanently save the delivery address to that invoice. When a new invoice to the same customer is raised then have the ability to enter another delivery address if required without effecting the previous invoice delivery address.

    Hi Philip, I can't confirm it's relativity to other applications however perhaps you could use the 'Add note' button within the history section(beneath a quote) in Xero.

    Notes aren't able to be edited once posted, however will remain visible to any user in the org that views History of the quote.

    Alternatively if you want to add more formatting or details, you could create and attach a file to the quote.

    You'll want to ensure you don't tick the 'Include with online quote' checkbox, unless you want the customer to see it 🙂
