  1. Can Xero please, for the love of all things holy, add ageing to Customer Statements.

    This is beyond critical and has been around for longer than I have, and I'm OLD, how is it still not standard in Xero and why is it not even on the agenda to add?

    I cant even vote for the idea on anyone else's post regarding this, it's the only topic voting isnt working on???

  2. It would be great to see an option of being able to highlight in red or yellow a particular line on your sales invoice for the client to specifically take note of, because at the moment when I add a note for clients to see I write it in capitals but it still gets ignored. Whereas if it was highlighted they may take more notice of it.

  3. The Account Transactions tab has very weird information presented. I need to see either the Description from the Transaction or the Expense Account account it's hitting. I see neither.

    In the Description Column of the Account Transaction Tab, you have the vendor/contact, not the Expense Description. In the Reference Column, you have the bank reference, which is fine, but it's a duplicate of the vendor info. You're leaving me with no useful information about the transaction.

  4. As an event company, we often receive bills months after the original project is "complete". I wish I could assign costs to "complete" projects the same way that I can assign invoices to "complete" projects.

    Hi Leah, when you've closed/completed a project it is still possible to add Bills and new Expense tasks to it. 

    From the bill you'll be able to look up and assign lines of your Bill, or within the project you can simply add an expense. The only transactions you can no longer add once closed are Billable expenses, Spend monies and time entries. 

    Is there a specific reason you need to enter the expense as one of these type of items? 

  5. Please add the ability to dismiss/hide the setup guide without the need to have clicked through and used all options in the guide. Some do not apply to my organization and so there is no way to get the blue setup guide button to disappear and it gets in the way of other things on the screen.

  6. It would be really helpful if there was a report that showed the actual amount of hours worked per month per individual and as a total. Our company has busy seasons, as well as quiet seasons and having a report like this would help us in planning our staffing situation.

  7. Xero Analytics Plus cashflow to show a year not just 90 days.
    The current cashflow upgrade from Xero only shows up to 90 day which is weird as in reality you need to forecast for the year. Is this going to be extended to a year like all the other cashflow apps ?

  8. The ability to rearrange the order of data entry would be a big improvement in New invoicing.
    Currently, the expense code and the Profit Centre are separated by the tax code.
    This is not logical or intuitive when entering data.

  9. I would be a huge benefit to be able to see invoices using some type of 'Quick Look' function from the invoice list rather than having to open each one fully to view details. This would allow us to quickly look at a customers history without the time consuming task of opening each one.

  11. Firstly, there are some basic functions totally missing from repeating invoices:

    1. Being able to apply a credit to future repeating invoices
    2. (So that payment doesn’t accidentally get taken by direct debit when there is a credit on the account.)
    3. Schedule a time for repeating invoices to be generated and sent
    4. Schedule a time invoice reminders to be sent (Currently my clients receive their invoices and reminders in the wee hours of the morning which looks really unprofessional.)

    Then there’s the integration with GoCardless automated payments… Which is, well, totally unusable (for me anyway).

  12. Please look into the idea for Importing and Exporting exchange rate from Xero for the ease of update if default XE Rate is not used by the organisation and the export function to generate exchange rates used for the period.

  16. Draft Bills - BULK add Due date when bulk approving.
    - need to use when creating RCTI's from purchase orders. We have the option to bulk move from Purchase order to Draft Bill, but then must open each one individually to apply the due date so that they can then be approved.

    Another alternative is to add a 'due date' field on the screen when choosing to transfer the Purchase Orders to the Draft Bill page

  17. In Sage, we used to be able to run a report that allowed us to export all our employees hourly rates, so yearly pay rises were easy to plan from.
    There isn't a way to do this in Xero - so my suggestion is to have a payroll report, similar to the employee details report, that allows you to see all employees hourly rates.

  18. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE add an option to Payroll that allows employer expenses to be processed. The Union our company is a member of insists we pay as an employer expense into a redundancy program and also an income protection program for each employee. The Union demands that the payments are detailed on each employees payslip. We can only do this if we have an employer expense option. One of my clients in the United Kingdom uses the UK version of XERO and their version allows for this. Come on Australia, catch up!!!

  19. VAT - late claims. As i use tracking categories - everything runs back through the late claims part of the VAT report but, this means there a mass of data to check through for the actual late claims that i do want in there. Very time consuming to check through all this. It would be great if you could separate out - say that the things come through from the bills from the tracking categories.

  20. Xero should show at the top of the screen or show a notification if you have an activity statement to submit (otherwise you have to specifically go into "Activity Statement" under "Accounting" to check).
