  1. We are after a report which shows the leave accrual rates for each individual employee in bulk report. I know we can view each individual employee by clicking on their leave balance and looking at the "Hours of leave accrued annually by a full-time employee. However for businesses with a large number of employees, this is very time consuming, therefore we would like a bulk report we can run to view all employees accrual rates in the one report.

  2. So we send a W9 request and a vendor completes it, great. But this doesn't create a digital W9 form, it just modifies the information in the vendor's 1099 contact page. So if an auditor requests a copy of a vendor's W9, we have nothing to give them. And it's possible to override the changes made by the W9 submission, so there's no way to verify - say a year later - that the information on their contact page aligns with the W9 information they submitted.     Hi there

    While we don’t create an exact replica of the form we’ve worked closely with our compliance team to make sure that if you are audited we can supply the information needed. We also cater for the event of W-9 information being overridden and needing W-9’s from previous years.

    In terms of getting the information for an audit - while we don’t offer a self service option at the moment - if you need it you can submit a request to our support team and we’ll provide what you need for an audit 😊

  4. Would like a report showing a list of bank account number changes. This would show original bank account number, new bank account number, contact's name, date the bank account number was amended and who amended the bank account number and to be able to print this as a pdf. This would be of great benefit because of fraud and also our Auditor has asked if we can produce a list of bank account number changes for a selected period.

    Hi everyone, while we don't have a direct report for this, some changes we've made to History & Notes in Xero will help in achieving what you're in need of here. 

    You can run the History & Notes, filtering by Type = Contact and typing 'Bank account number' in the Search to just view results for this action. 

    If needed you'll be able to export your results to PDF or Excel. 

    Though the contact name doesn't show on screen, you can right click on the Contact in the report to open the contact's record in a new browser tab, that allows you to inspect details without navigating away from your History & Notes results. 

  5. Currently when you are viewing the GST Audit Report , you can select an item to view in more detail. When you back arrow to return to the GST Audit Report, Xero takes you back to the first item on page 1, not at the position where you left the Audit Report . It would be beneficial to the user, and would save a lot of time scrolling, if Xero returned the user to the position where they left the report.

  6. The Inventory Item Details report does not show inventory items where there was no movement during the month. Therefore the report does not tie out to the balance per the TB for inventory. Can this be fixed?

    Understand that it's not quite what you're after, but it's worth a mention: The 'Inventory Item Summary' report will show all inventory items in your organisation, including those without any movement in the selected period. 

    I've attached a screenshot as an example, so you can check if it suits your reporting needs  - we'll leave this idea up in the meantime 😊

  7. Aged Payables Report
    This new report defaults to todays date, and you cannot create a template that defaults to the end of the current month. I need this report to show the actual invoices owing, as if I use today's date it shows invoices owing that I have already sent to my bank for payment at the end of the month. The old report worked great and defaulted to the month, but it would be great if this was an option for the new report.

    Hey everyone - Just a quick update to let you know we’ve tweaked the default date picker on this report 😊

    Now, if you open the Aged Payables, the date will default to the end of the month, and not today’s date - replicating the behaviour of the old version.

  9. It would be very useful to have a report that shows at a glance when each employee last had a pay rise. Like an extra column in the Employee Remuneration Report. Or an audit report that shows the history of pay changes for all employees in one place.

  10. Ability to add project financials rerporting into an advisor template report

    Being able to build a management report template that includes project financials seems like a no-brainer. but you can't do it at template level. You have to start with the existing template for a managmeent report and build a report from scratch for each client.
    You can't even take an existing template and add in a project report.

    As noted earlier, with the new version of this report along with more detail and abilities to sort and filter you'll find 'Description is now a column that can be included and filtered by in this report! 

  12. It would be incredibly helpful if 'Quantities' & ' Unit Price' were included as column options in the Account Transactions report.

    This way one can quickly review the quantity & price of each entry without having to drill down into each individual entry. It would also provide a total quantity and average unit price for the given period.

    The example that I am referring to is on a farm business where we would like to review the tonnes of crop sold and the price.

  13. The Supplier Bill Activity report is great for showing transactions for a Supplier if you operate only with one currency.
    However, for accounts with Multicurrency, it should also include optional columns for the Source Currency amounts and when showing just one currency, the balances in that currency in the list of columns.

    Hi Esteon, you're right that it's not currently possible to Filter by the Related account column atm. It'd be good to understand what you;re trying to look at when running this report atm.

    Rather than filter by related account, could you select the Account that you'd be looking to filter by and then click the Related account header to order the transactions by the account they came from?

  15. NZ Payroll - I would like a report that shows annual leave taken, any adjustments made to the leave balance and a final total of leave owing. I do not think there is anywhere that shows if an change has been made to someone's leave balance

    Hi community, as you've found Xero doesn't currently have a function that automatically tracks or calculates sales by sales person.

    In the meantime, you could use tracking when you record your sales, which will allow you to report based on sales made by each sales person.

    A suggested process is:

    • Create a tracking category called something like 'Sales Rep', and create category options within the category for each of your sales staff.
    • When a sales invoice or quote is created, you can include the staff member's name in the staff member (Tracking) field on the invoice/quote.
    • You can then use the Tracking reports to see the sales that relate to each 'Sales Rep' and calculate commission manually outside of Xero.

  17. Please add the Product Code as a reportable field to the Transactions Report (and any report that looks at 'Descriptions'). Any transaction description that is genrated from a 'Prodcut' needs to include the Product code to give an essentail higher layer of analysis - i really dont know how anyone can drill down into their Sales data without it? It must be a tick box to add as it will be in the same table that the description comes from. Please just add it or offer a custom report building service.

    Hi everyone, this is actually already possible through the use of the Payable and Receivable Invoice Summary and detail reports. 


    You can adjust the filters of the report to only select Overpayment, Prepayment and Credit note Source items, as well as set the Status so you only view Draft and Approved items. 

    Once set up Save as custom, so you can easily access this view anytime. 🙂

  19. To produce a report that shows all expenses entered via the expense claim feature for a specific period, which also shows who entered the expenses and details of the claims?

    This is a useful feature required for comparing budgets and forecasting future cash flow expectations.
