  1. As an event company, we often receive bills months after the original project is "complete". I wish I could assign costs to "complete" projects the same way that I can assign invoices to "complete" projects.

    Hi Leah, when you've closed/completed a project it is still possible to add Bills and new Expense tasks to it. 

    From the bill you'll be able to look up and assign lines of your Bill, or within the project you can simply add an expense. The only transactions you can no longer add once closed are Billable expenses, Spend monies and time entries. 

    Is there a specific reason you need to enter the expense as one of these type of items? 

  2. I am trying to add a list of inventory items to a project quickly, to estimate cost, is there an easy way to upload an excel sheet with all the inventory items & quantities?

    I need to add multiple items like over 60 each with their own quantity... Can I upload a list? Instead of individual listing?

  3. Contact Cash Activity Report that shows all contacts and can show both individual transactions or a summary (total).

  4. The ability to know which Direct debit mandate is the latest one among the many duplicate ones (for eg. have a time stamp or date or any indicator). If a customer's existing DD fails and they try to submit a new mandate but end up submitting it more than once, there should be a way in Xero for us to know which mandate was recently submitted so we can match the form accordingly, therefore avoiding errors with other duplicate submissions.

  5. I frequently create draft invoices to keep track of work to be billed. When I send the invoice (at the completion of a production stage for example), XERO keeps the date of the first draft invoice, which can be weeks or even months old. I have a setting of 7 days as due date. Clients then receive an invoice with a long gone due date, which is extremely confusing, if I forget to update the issue date to today. It would make a lot of sense if XERO entered the date of the issue automatically! Apparently there is no default…

  6. When you enter a bill and save it as a draft or approve a bill up the top it gives you the option to enter a new bill but it doesn't give you the option to enter a credit note. Because I can click add a new bill I enter all my invoices first but if Xero gave me the option to enter a credit note I would use this very much. Right now I have 14 supplier credit notes to enter and that is not unusual and it is very time consuming having to go back to the bill…

  8. 2 TOIL options, TOIL accrued & TOIL Accrued in place of Overtime

    We are unable to mark a Time in Lieu Leave pay item as exempt from accruing SGC, which is not how the ATO classifies SGC for TOIL.

    We suggest having 2 TOIL categories, so that there is the option for a TOIL where SGC is required to be paid and one wit SGC exempt:- when super is accrued on overtime.

  9. My Bank rules were deleted by someone. Xero doesn't have a restore function or the ability to see who deleted these.
    We need this for compliance purposes and the safety of our data purposes.

  10. It would be a really useful to be able to attach files to a bank account within Xero, much as you can to a contact or transaction.

    The use cases for this could be:
    When a disorganised client send bank statements in as attachments for irregular payments it would be very handy to be able to store those attached to the account in Xero; as close to where I would want to use them as possible.

    There are supporting documents that relate to an account as a whole - such as an accruals or prepayment schedule that would be great…

  13. Enable Xero to remember the zoom and window size when viewing a document attached to an invoice, bill, purchase order etc.

    I always find it annoying that the default size for viewing an attachment is too small and I need to increase the zoom and window size every time.

  14. Our contact cards are set up automatically through an API directly from our billing systems (we have multiple systems that are all coded differently). Fields like currency and branding are not updated with this link; therefore, the fields default to our Xero account settings. We want to export the contact card list with these fields to identify the clients with information that needs updating, to then fix and import in one step instead of updating each card.

  15. Every month I publish, export and share reports with certain individuals. I would like to do this within Xero. I set up users who can have "View published reports" access. When I publish a report I can then select that report and choose which of these users I wish to share it with. The user is notified, can login to Xero and is then presented with a list of published reports that have been shared with them. It keeps all the functionality native to Xero.

  17. Have automatic superannuation payments be able to be paid via credit card, through xero. Currently there seems to only be the ability to make automatic payment via direct debit but it would be good if it could be made by a credit card.

  19. I would like to assign a tracking code to an account code to avoid having to manually edit every invoice imported from a plug in (in this case Cliniko). Imported volumes are large and it would be so much easier if it was automated.

  20. UK Payroll - it would be handy to be able to mark P32 amounts due as paid or dealt with. Just helps to visual see where you are in the list of reports and keep on top of due payments.
