    Good news everyone! Our reporting team recently released the ability to show Quotes through Receivable Invoice Details and Summary reports :)
    When you’re using either of these reports, you can click the "All quotes summary" or "All quotes detail" option at the side panel, then filter the report by Status and choose "Accepted". If you need to share the report to those who don't have full access to Xero report, you can export your report.

  2. With the old reports you were able to run the report and then click into one of the GL codes to look at the data. There was then a link "back to P&L / Balance sheet report" which took you back. This is missing in the new report which is very time consuming as it seems you have to start again with running and customising your report.

  3. GST Audit Report - show if the files icon & no of files (e.g. like Account Transaction list does). This would be helpful when ensuring all GST invoice requirements are met.

  4. I just want a simple report that show sales by customer with comparatives to previous financial years that agrees back to the sales on the profit & loss statement. Surely thats not too difficult??

    I am disappointed at the lack of decent sales reporting in Xero. Whilst I agree that Xero has many great features, their sales reporting is not one of them.

  5. We reconcile monthly sales with an internal ordering/salesprocessing system. This is good for checking to see if invoices have been missed and also to make sure that the net sales are the same in Xero too (another fail safe check). There needs to be a sales report that is easy to run off on a monthly basis showing net figures. Currently I have to run a couple of reports off - identify prepayments and delete them in the excel version, then add another column to work out net value.   6. "Compare Tracking Category" in the Old Format P&L Report includes columns for all Tracking Category Values USED in the date range; irrespective of whether the value is ACTIVE or ARCHIVED.

    "Compare Tracking Category" in the New Format P&L Report is different: it includes columns for ACTIVE Tracking Category Values. This represents an incomplete view because ARCHIVED Tracking Category Values USED in the date range are not included.

    Please can you enable reporting of USED Tracking Category Values in the New Format P&L Report before you remove Old Format Reports in July 2023.

    Not a capture all but maybe a step in the right direction for now that could help, Maureen - Smart Lists could help you get a view of the customers that you've not sold items to recently. 

    You could run a New Smart List to view Any customers who have Not Purchased Any items In the last year - Find out more on Smart lists here

  10. Add a more detailed bank transaction report.
    It would be nice to generate a bank report that allows you to see the accounts booked in details. For example, if one transaction has multiple accounts, I can see what accounts where used and what amount. this would make it a lot easier to look over and control if you made some mistakes or did not included bank fees in the transaction.

    Hey Community,

    As part of our reports refresh, we’ve updated how reports look when printing directly from your browser - removing the larger margins mentioned in some of the comments.

    Generally, we’d recommend either exporting to PDF or, as Russel has mentioned, exporting to an excel file for further refinement before printing.

    However, if you do print directly from your browser, you’ll now find that the report is correctly aligned to the left of the page 😊

  14. Can payroll deductions such as IRD arrears or MOJ deductions etc be included in the Payments Report. This is vital information that is not able to be reported on at this stage and I wonder how many deductions have slipped through the cracks because clients aren't aware that a deduction has been made. In the situation where a third party is managing Xero payrolls for clients these payments need to be communicated manually via email. As you can imagine this places a large burden on the third party to ensure that this is captured each payrun.

  15. Business snapshot - link to default custom Profit & Loss Report

    We use a custom Profit & Loss Report which is default.
    Unfortunately the Business snapshot links to the standard xero Profit & Loss Report not the custom default Profit & Loss report.
    Can the Business snapshot be changed to link to the custom default reports?

  16. Can we have both CIS deducted by clients and CIS that we deduct from sub-contractors on the P32 report. I use the P32 to tell me what I need to pay across to HMRC but then have to do a separate calculation for CIS that I've deducted from subbies. The way Xero handles CIS deductions from sales invoices is difficult enough already!

  17. Budget Variance Report for 12 months.

    Currently the budget variance report is restricted within a selected date range. If we are able to customize the budget variance for the below two options:

    Option 1: If there is an option to run the variance report for previous financial year for the 12 individual month with the actual and budget variance.

    Option 2: For current Financial Year, if there is an option to customize the monthly actual and budget variance report including the budget for the reminder of 11 months.

    Hi everyone, thanks for all the valuable feedback and ideas shared regarding aged reports in different currencies.

    It seems that this idea picked up several different themes over time so we want to clarify where we’re at with this. In the past few months our product team has worked hard to improve the functionality in this area. That includes releases for totals when run in a single currency - so you can see a total of your foreign currency, and disclosures 🎉

    We’ve introduced FX disclosures on the Aged Reports, which displays as a note at the bottom of your report or as an icon next to figures on the report to indicate that they include revalued foreign currency amounts to give you more flexibility.
