Receivable Invoice Summary - Date range 'Any' option
Previously, in old "Customer Invoice Report" there was a feature under "Dates" where we could select "ANY" which allowed Invoices created outside of your selected date range to be included in your report.
This seems to be no longer available in the new "Receivable Invoice Report" and any invoices created outside of your selected date range (but paid within that date range) won't show up on the report.
You can expand your date range but this has potential to re-list paid invoices from previous reports.
Can "ANY' be added as an option to Dates as it was in previous version?Previously, in old "Customer Invoice Report" there was a feature under "Dates" where we could select "ANY" which allowed Invoices created outside of your selected date range to be included in your report.

Invoices: Customise items in 'Due date' dropdown list
Currently, when creating an invoice, the payment terms dropdown gives you the following options:
- Today
- 7 days
- 14 days
- EOM +1
- EOM +20
- end of next month
I would like to customise this list; the Australian government has recently brought in payment standards of 5 days if sent by e-invoice and 20 days if not, for all invoices sent to all non-corporate Commonwealth entities (including Defence) and neither of those are amongst the standard options. This means that I have to manually change the due date based on the contract for every invoice sent, since different contracts for the same government department can be required to be sent by e-invoice or not, based on whether they existed prior to the current policy or not https://www.finance.gov.au/publications/resource-management-guides/supplier-pay-time-or-pay-interest-policy-rmg-417I'd really like to adjust the dropdown to remove the options I never ever use and include the ones I use frequently.

AU Payroll - Hide Long service leave balance from ineligible employees
I would like to be able to select only certain employees and add LSL balances on their payslips rather than everyone in the organisation.
My point is, when we set a new employee we started calculating their LSL from day one but we do not necessarily want them to see the balances until they reach 5 or 10 year mark working for the company.
In this case, calculation of LSL is accurate as in 10 years times hours of employees can change btw full time/part time and so on.
I would appreciate an option to select individual employees to display their LSL balances once they reach the right time on their payslips.Thank you.

Reconciliation - Send notification when transactions are waiting for reconciliation
For smaller companies, it would be helpful to have the option to receive a notification by email or text when there are bank transactions to be reconciled.
In larger companies, it's a daily routine to do the bank rec of course but not so in smaller companies so a notification would be very handy!5 votes -
Bank reconciliation - Automated Reconciliation Using Client Account Number
Xero should automatically recognise a Xero client account number in any bank transfer and allocate those funds to existing invoices in that client's account. This should either just occur automatically when a client payment matches the total on their statement, or alternatively, any payment should simply be allocated to the client's oldest invoices.
Currently, when customers pay us for invoices that we have sent them, we search for their name in the “Match” function during the bank feed reconciliation. We then select the invoice(s) that match each payment and reconcile these.
There are two major problems with this workflow:
We have to hope that the bank account name that feeds through from the bank is similar to the customer account name in our Xero instance. A lot of customers will add their customer account number in the reference field, but searching for this in the ‘Match’ function doesn’t work. In other words, this is just asking for errors to be made.
It all seems pointlessly manual. Why can’t Xero automatically bring up all the invoices for a client who has put their customer account number in the bank transfer reference field? Why do we need to search for this at all? In fact, why can’t Xero automatically bulk reconcile a client’s invoices when they pay the exact amount on their monthly statement and add their client account number into the reference field? The chance of this being misallocated is basically zero. The workflow almost exists with bank rules, but these don’t work with existing invoices as far as I can tell.

Reports - Keep negative accounts under the same category on balance sheet
I've noticed when an account gets a negative balance (such as an asset) that the balance sheet moves it to liabilities. I also noticed that, although I put "Other Income" at the end of the account list (with a account number of 7000) it still shows up in the income section. Proper accounting reports show "Other Income" and "Other Expense" at the bottom of the balance sheet. Additionally, if an asset account gets a negative balance for some reason it should NOT be moved to liabilities. Please fix this.
Thank you

Business Snapshot - Ability to show monthly and quarterly comparatives
In the Business Snapshot all of the comparatives are to previous year. In a startup this isn't meaningful as prior year balances are nil, but month-to-month or quarter-to-quarter comparatives would be super useful. In established businesses also, monthly and quarterly comparatives can be very useful.

Invoice Discount Column - Show it on copied-to Bills
We like the discount column on Customer Invoices.
We love being able to copy Customer Invoices to Bills. But what happens to the discount when we copy a customer invoice to a supplier bill? It appears in the total but it doesn't appear anywhere on the bill and it's impossible to edit or remove unless the entire discounted item is removed and added.
I've spent many confused hours wondering why the bill doesn't add up.
Even a flag to state that there is a hidden discount would be an improvement.

It'd be good to get some more understanding of the scenarios in which you're finding you often need to copy an invoice to a bill - Welcome any feedback on this to share back with the team too.

AU Payroll - History of leave requests
REQUESTING LEAVE
Firstly, when an employee is submitting a leave application, they are unable to adjust the number of hours they are taking when submitting this leave when the leave period is for more than one day. This is problematic for part-time employees that may work different hours on different days of their working week.
RECORD/HISTORY OF LEAVE REQUESTS
Also, employees used to be able to see the number of hours taken but this is no longer the case - why is this?
LEAVE APPROVER ACCESS
And finally, my client has multiple entities that use Xero for payroll processing however requires employees that are employed in one entity to approve leave applications by employees in another entity. The only way that I understand this can be achieved is by setting up the approver as an 'employee' in the other entity so that they can receive these leave application requests and action as required. Is there an update to Xero coming that will allow for leave approvers to be set up as a User with leave approver access only?REQUESTING LEAVE

It's correct that currently it's not possible to enter a number of hours leave if the request spans more than a day. We have another idea that's gathering support around this and we'd urge those interested in this to join.
Similarly, we have another idea based around the permission to approve or decline leave request and provide read-only access to Payroll reports that you can support, here.
Understanding the importance around being able to see history of events in payroll, you may have noticed we've rolled out payroll history to the employee record-level and most recently you can now see a history of user activity in the Organisation, Calendars, Pay Items, Superannuation & STP Settings tabs of the Payroll Settings.

Invoicing - Ability to copy multiple invoices without merging
A great new function in xero would be to copy several invoices to another client without merging them together. So that direct debits can be taken of varying amounts each month.

Reports | Statement of Cashflows - add budget column
Can we please add a budget column to the statement of cash flows report. I find this report (once customised to reveal all account codes) very useful for showcasing cash received vs spend on taxes, assets, liabilities and business expenses. To be able to set a budget in the budget manager for cash flow will save hours preparing manual cash flow forecasts outside of xero.

Bills - View bills awaiting payment without a planned payment date
Ability to easily see which bills have not been scheduled for payment.
There are tabs for each date that payments have been scheduled. An "unscheduled" tab would be useful, showing bills awaiting payment without a planned payment date.
Will save users time having to sort the bills by planned date to see which ones need scheduling.
48 votesHi Tina, just thinking in lieu of this feature atm - To help get a view of bills that don't have an assigned planned date you can click the Planned date header to sort all bills by planned date and this will also group all bills with no planned date. 🙂

Customer Support - More direct way to get help
The contact details / help required for Xero NOT our contact details should be on the first page. It should not be up to us the client to have to read through various lists of things. We should have the ability to immediately send an e-mail or in some circumstances be able to speak with a human being straight away.
A lot of times a two minute phone call will sort something out that takes several e-mails back and forth and this means a lot of wasted time.6 votes
