  1. I would like to send departmental P&L/spend reports to my managers. For eg, send all marketing spend to that team showing the act v bud figures AND all the transactions making up the actual fig
    I reckon it would be best to add the Act and Bud figs at the top of the account transactions report for a particular chart of accounts

  2. The buttons linking to detailed reports from the project profitability tab don't go to the place they claim. They just take you to a blank report view. Very useless and pretty annoying.     Hi all, leading on from our last update we're going to move this idea to 'Delivered' with the change the team made to Projects in August last year (apologies for the late update here!) You'll now find that all the reports on the profitability tab take you to the report, filtered to the project you were on 🌟

  3. Report to print Multiple Payslips and sort by Employment Type eg. Casuals, and Pay Period.

  4. When trying to identify how many new contacts have been added in a certain period it is impossible without pulling months of billing and sorting by client name. Also would be great for marketing to know about Client anniversaries.

    Simply by adding a field for the date added when setting up the record would be ideal, it could then be shown on the exported contacts report.

  5. We are wanting to create a report for timesheet information for hours worked submitted by employees, that have been reviewed by their managers, i.e. rejected and unapproved overtime worked. The timesheet report only lists the paid hours. We would like to know the hours submitted by employees on their timesheets, versus the hours that were eventually approved and paid for. Are we able to create a custom report for this, to work out unapproved (as revised by the approver) overtime hours per employee, for a specific time period. This information is needed to do the BOOT test each year for…

  6. The ATO has announced a Sharing Economy Reporting Regime Report (SERR) where all Sharing Economy businesses also known as 'EDP operator' (electronic distribution platform) also known as "Intermediary" are required to report twice a year. When will this Report be prioritised by Xero?

  7. Currently, Employee summary gives a a lone total only for the period entered. A report showing one line of detail for every payrun paid, would be very beneficial when processing government claims, or providing information to employees for Centrelink instead of the the cumbersome Activity report, or multiple payslips.

    Appreciate noting that the Receivable Invoice Summary isn't what you're after. However can you give a bit of detail of what's missing or showing differently in this report to what you'd like to see, Shannon? 

    If it is the time saving of having to format the report each time, once you have it set up you can save the report as Customer and rename it so you can easily access and run the report filtered by only these source items any time. 

  9. Can we have both CIS deducted by clients and CIS that we deduct from sub-contractors on the P32 report. I use the P32 to tell me what I need to pay across to HMRC but then have to do a separate calculation for CIS that I've deducted from subbies. The way Xero handles CIS deductions from sales invoices is difficult enough already!

    Thanks for raising the idea here, Harshita. While there's a downloadable CSV for the Pay Item transition, this isn't something that's available for employee changes as part STP 2 transition. 


    The nature of the transition tool means you won't have to repeat these steps once rolled out, and being open with this we'll mark the idea as not planned.

    Hi everyone, sorry we've not rounded into the idea here sooner! We've made some updates to the Profit & Loss as well as Balance Sheet reports where you'll find you now have options to select More and show Account code 🙂

    I would like to request that we keep the publish button on the new GST layout. The new GST Return layout does not have the Publish to Reports function (this has been removed). The Publish Function is an important function for clients, bookkeepers and auditors to access all relevant publish reports in one place.

    Hi community, appreciate your feedback on the new GST return and detail of how the Publish feature is useful to you. While we don't have immediate plans for developing this in the new return, this is something we're monitoring and will consider as a future improvement. If there is any change around this we'll share this with you all through the idea here.

  14. Report to see when a customer account was opened/set up. When conducting customer credit account reviews it would be handy if there was a report to see what date a customer account was set up. So you are only reviews accounts that have been opened for a year. At the moment the only way to see when an account was set up is to look at the notes/history on each individual account.

    I would like to be able to process a Payroll Transaction Summary Listing report that shows the individual amounts per pay item for every employee for the financial year in one report. Currently, I need to select the individual employee to get this information, but this is not practical when a business has 10 or more employees as it takes too much time to select each employee individually to get this information.

    Hi everyone, currently there is an appropriation statement available to Partners in report templates for Australia. Being open we don't have plans to add this at the client level. However, you an create your own with the Blank report. You could add a schedule and pull in the appropriate accounts.

  18. Sometime in the last week, the order in which data is presented in the Payroll Activity Summary report has changed from
    - Earnings
    - Tax
    - Super
    - Net payable
    - Actual paid
    to
    - Earnings
    - Net payable
    - Actual paid
    - Super
    - Tax

    Put it back, please, it makes no sense to have something other than Wages less Tax equals Payable. Also reinstate the highlighted total lines in this report and in the Payroll Employee Summary, I'm ashamed to send this to my client with their IAS, it's not readable enough.

  19. We recently converted from Quickbooks Desktop and are trying to reproduce a "Sales by Customer" Report that sorts descending by gross invoice amount but groups the contacts within the contact group together. In Xero, I cannot figure out a way to accomplish this.

  20. The new Account Summary Report needs the Account Code in the drop down list. Currently it only has the names of the accounts. There is no option to show or hide the Account Code. Sometimes I work with the account codes and not names. I need the ability to type the code in as well.
