  1. We have multiple sites within our payroll company. Each site is in a different physical location. We have set each location up as a "Group" Each employee is set to a group. This way, we can sort and report on each location within our payroll entity.
    However, we need the payslip to show the address of the location, rather than the address which is showing in the organisation settings. I understand that we can set up a different physical address, but is it possible to have a separate address for each group or location within this organisation?

  3. Batch payments of Foreign Currency Bills.

    Dear Xero,
    Please consider the feature of being able to batch up foreign currency Bills. We often pay multiple invoices in one go, having to reconcile and mark as paid 10 invoices is extremely time consuming.

    Hi team, appreciate wanting an update - I'm pleased to share the beta went well and we've now launched international bill payments for our UK customers, making it easier to pay overseas suppliers.

    Using open banking, UK businesses can now securely send money to 180+ countries including Europe (EUR), America (USD) and Australia (AUD). So you don't have to juggle multiple platforms or hidden fees. Whether you're paying a single bill or multiple bills at once, you can authorise payments prepared by your team and easily track which suppliers have been paid.

    We’re committed to new ways to expand our bill payments feature for small businesses and their advisors in other regions by leveraging new technologies, where available. I'll keep you updated of any further developments for this, here.

  4. Ability to show bills and invoices that are in ‘awaiting approval’ status.

  5. More granular level for user access rights

    I have seen lots of ideas around this same topic but worded slightly differently.

    Essentially, the access rights are far too high level causing users to have access to tasks and rights to delete, approve when they shouldn't

    Appreciate your looking through the forums and existing ideas, Tracy. 

    Although it might seem quite specific it does help to have detail of the specific permission sets and what is missing in the existing roles shared for each idea, and get a sense of the users that are interested in these differing permissions.  

    As you can likely imagine, with the number of features and different roles & responsibilities staff may have across businesses a matrices of options for every single permissions across every feature in Xero would be quite complex and cumbersome when  trying to assign what a user can or can't do in your organisation. 

    While we don't have direct plans for this level of incremental control, our product teams are definitely interested to consider the makeup of permissions within a given area or feature of Xero. I'd urge you and others here to add your support to…

  6. The edit contact format has recently been changed and I now have to click through multiple tabs to edit and view contact info. This is much more time consuming. I would like to be able to edit and view all contact info on one page.

    You'll now find a single page for editing contact details, with the added benefit of using the tab selections on the left panel to go directly to your chosen section on the contacts add/edit page.

  7. URGENT!!!! The new invoicing is quiet frustrating. It doesn't remember past settings when emailing the invoices. So now I need to remember EVERYTIME I send an invoice to click 'send me a copy', which I know I'm going to forget especially if I'm in a rush.

    ANNOYING!!!! There's an added step now to attach a pdf. I now need to click add files then drag the pdf, instead of simply dragging it and clicking to send with invoice or not.

    Hi team, recently we have released a new line item grid in invoicing and you will find there are a few updates the team have made to improve visibility. We've optimised the padding, text size and columns width to make this more compact so you can see more detail without the need to scroll.

  8. Batch change exchange rate
    Currently, once a receipt has been entered the only way to change the exchange rate is to go into each individual transaction and edit transaction->change the exchange rate. I have a situation where i have hundreds of transactions that have been allocated the XE.com rate, but i would like those transaction to have the user defined rate. Also in receipts entered using the iOS app will use the XE.com rate even if there is a user defined rate set in settings.

It would be useful if a Xero Me App - Approver had the ability to view a break down of the hours an employee works across the week (not just the total hours worked) before approving the timesheet. I see there is a lot of support for adding start & finish times and break times in the Xero Me App and this would be an extension of that.

    Thanks for sharing this idea. I’ve just updated the title to be AU specific as this feature has been delivered in the AU region! For our NZ voters I’ve split this to a new idea and transferred your votes.

    We added a timesheet setting in Xero Me (AU) that lets employees record start and end times for work and unpaid breaks. With this, Team Manager / Approver roles have the ability to review and approve start, end and break time entered, as well as any notes added by an employee on timesheets within the Xero Me app 🎉 

  10. Ability to untick the option of ‘Show currency items only’ by default.

    Purpose: To avoid confusion especially for users who are dealing with multiple currencies.

    Hi all, thank you for contributing to idea here. While our Inventory team have reviewed the idea for custom / tiered price lists in Xero, we want to be open that we do not have development planned for enabling more extensive Inventory management like this.

    There are many Inventory apps that connect with Xero and offer these types of services and more - You can explore these on Xero App store. To be transparent we will update the status to not planned - If there is any change to this we will share with you here.

  12. When sending an invoice to a new customer using the new invoicing you can only add one address line before the Town/City field. With the old invoicing you could add multiple address lines before the Town/City field (as you can also do with their Contact page and clicking edit).
    With new invoicing this is difficult. Every time you need to add an address to a new invoice going to a new contact within the invoice screen then you only have one address line above the town/city field.

    Hi team, we’ve made and released some recent enhancements to the ‘Contact’ field and contact card within new invoicing.

    Hearing your feedback here, we added more address lines to the contact card within new invoicing so you can add your full customer’s delivery or billing address on the fly. You’ll also see you can quickly look up and select addresses for your contact, as well as edit or add the Attention to without needing to go to the contact record.   13. It will be really great from the Aged Receivables Reports to be able to send Statements to Customers without having to leave the page and come back to it.

    A flag, on the Aged Receivables Reports, of when last a statement was sent will also be very useful.

  14. Suggest the ability to apply work patterns to part time employees. For example, we have a part time employee who works 7 hours on Mon, 6 hours on Tues and 6 hours on Wed.
    At the moment, if a Public Holiday falls on a Monday, it does not correctly work out hours worked.
    The same happens if Annual Leave is taken; incorrect hours are calculated which affects AL accruals.
    Hours worked have to be calculated and added manually.

  15. It would be really helpful to be able to assign an existing Contact to a new Client. For example we receive multiple projects from Architects or Builders with different Clients. Each time we add the contact into a new Client's project, we make a duplicate Contact entry. It would be great to have the ability to assign an existing Contact to a new Client, and merge the duplicate Contacts.

  17. We need to deposit > 50 transactions on a daily basis. We can't marry up our remittances to our deposits recorded in Xero when done in multiple parts. It's messy and not workable for large volume businesses.

  18. On the old invoices/bills I could type "18/2/23" and it would auto fill 18th February 2023. Now I have to scroll back multiple months to get there. It would be good if I could type in the date field boxes again. Specifically on "Add Payment"

    We're pleased to announce that with our latest update you have the ability to directly type dates when making payments on invoices! We know this was a highly requested feature, and we appreciate everyone who voted and shared their input.

    For those familiar with our Xero Central article on keyboard shortcuts, you'll be happy to know that all those shortcuts are now fully functional in this date field, as well as all other date fields throughout your invoices.

    While a direct dropdown for "yesterday" isn't available, you can quickly enter the previous day's date by typing 't-1'.

    As this update delivers the majority of the changes discussed in this idea, we'll now mark it as delivered.

    We also heard the feedback from some users who prefer to use a full stop (.) as a date separator instead of the forward slash (/) or hyphen (-). There's a specific idea,

  19. Audit Report
    As there are several users with full access to payroll, it would be helpful if this could be shown in the history (there is only minimal information here at present) or by report to see who has made changes to employee details within payroll and when. It would also be useful if there could be changes to the options when setting up a user as some users only require access to approve leave and print reports and not full access.

    Thanks for your interest in this idea everyone!

    Off the back of our payroll history update back in August last year, we’ve released a dedicated Payroll History report to all Australian payroll users.

    You’ll now see an extra option in the Payroll menu for ‘Payroll History’. This report combines the history tab available across employee details, payslips, payroll settings and pay runs into one report.

    For anyone interested in permission and more user role controls in Payroll - you might like to support and stay tuned for updates in the idea we have for this here. 🙂

  20. I would like to see a report that listed all the bank accounts, their balance at the report date and the date of the last imported bank statement line. For a company with more than a handful of accounts it would make it much easier to see which accounts needed to be brought up to date for accounts prep.
