Contact | Add display picture to contact
While we can add an image to a Customers Record, there is no abiliity to see that image when inquiring on that customers record. A thumbnail instead of Initals would be useful, similar to gmail.

Reporting - Receivable and Payable Credit Note reports
Create a Receivable and/or Payable Credit Note Report which lists all credit notes issued/received, and the corresponding invoice they are linked to. This will help as when a credit note is issued the status is 'paid', however if I want to do a review of invoices and days until invoice is paid, I want to be able to exclude items that have been credit noted.

For now, the closest thing we have is to use the Receivable/Payable Invoice Detail (or Summary) reports.
You can use the Filter option on Source, to only show credit notes. However, the existing reports don't show the invoices/bills they're allocated to.

AU Payroll - Employee Remuneration - Ability to view date employee last paid
Payroll report (or add field to existing), "date employee last paid".
We have a lot of seasonal adhoc casuals, it would be good to have a column in payroll reports showing the last pay-period they were paid in. We'd use this to off-board employees we haven't paid in a certain period of time (i.e. 12 months). Sales Invoices Include Contact Notes in Pop Up Window
Include contact notes in the pop up window when contact is selected in the Invoice screen.
Currently in the invoice screen when you click on the contact brings up a pop up window detailing contact contact info, contact address, and amount owed.
Can this pop up window be expanded to include the contact notes ( in the contact details screen) this would enhance usability by allowing the user to easily view key contact notes when in invoice screen. which for us is used to identify whether a customer requires PO #, special discounts, preferences etc.

Bank Reconciliation - Option to Edit rule from the Reconcile screen
Edit Bank Rule from the Reconciliation page.
A payment sometimes goes to a regular supplier but when reconciling, the Bank Rule doesn't trigger. I have examples where there's NO apparent reason for a Rule to not trigger, but other times there could be a slight change in how the supplier codes the payment etc.From the Reconciliation page there are only gives the option to Create a New Bank Rule, but you can end up with lots of redundant rules. It would be better and quicker to edit a minor thing in the existing Rule.

Projects - Assign New staff to all Projects in Bulk
It would be great to have the ability to assign New staff to all existing Projects without having to open each Project individually. Perhaps a multi select drop down. Currently I am having to open 40 projects and add the new staff member in one at a time.

Sales tab - Love the "Billable Expenses", Needs to be above Quotes.

Email-to Bills - Use the contact's default currency
When sending invoices to Xero email address, the currency defaults incorrectly instead of taking the currency already set for the contact. We expected the contact’s currency to be applied automatically at the stage of creating the invoice, but this is not happening.

NZ GST - Mark GST Return as filed
Please can there be an option to mark a GST Return as FILED in Xero , where it has been filed by another method.

UK payroll - Turn off automatic journal posting for payroll
As the automatic journal for payroll is not able to be viewed before posting to accounts, we should have the option to turn off automatic journals. Currently, we have to post, then go back and do another journal to split out ER NI & Pension for different departments. This system is so unflexible.

CIS Deductions need to show at the bottom of the invoice on advanced invoice templates as seen on the standard invoice template.

Stripe Autopay - Report to show Autopay status of an invoice
AutoPay reporting - Xero needs a report that will show all the customer paying by AutoPay or show the percentage of invoices setup with AutoPay or even just have AutoPay Active/AutoPay offered in a separate column on the list of repeating invoices so we could sort by that information to determine how many of our customers are using AutoPay.

How to enter the budget per project or E&E Asset?
Would be great if Xero can have the option of entering the budget per each project or E&E Asset, so that way, the company can control the expenses per project and avoid any exceeding expenses per each month or identify some changes needed in the projection

Keeping Payee Reference When Grouping Payments
When making a payment via "bills to pay" the Payee Reference is lost when payments are grouped. When grouped this should revert to the supplier reference, we pay lots of larger UK business (Travis Perkins/Screwfix/Trade UK) who require the customer reference number to be included in the payment otherwise it isnt allocated.
In addition, when you request someone else to pay the bill the references are lost. Invoice Template - Setting for Decimal format

An update in the last few months bought inconsistency into the invoicing format in terms of the decimal points on the unit pricing. Xero Me - Increase the word count on timesheet notes
Increase word count limit on xero me timesheets 'notes' feature. Make it much larger or unlimited ideally.

Expenses - Mileage tracking to alert when 10,000KM's are reached
For mileage expenses a way to have a total amount of miles used so that I can track once I reach 10,000 miles and adjust the rate from 45p to 25p. Or have this set to automatically.
1 voteThanks for the idea ✨ and for explaining the need to be alerted at a mileage threshold so the rate can be updated. We’ve reviewed this and, at this stage, we’re not planning to progress it. The approach needed here would rely on a GPS component for automated tracking, and this isn’t something we’re exploring right now. In the meantime, you can continue recording mileage manually and adjust the rate when you reach your threshold. We’ll keep monitoring interest in this space, and if our direction changes, we’ll update here. Thanks again for sharing your use case and helping us understand your needs 🙏

Xero Expenses - Add an 'Assigned To' reference in Expenses to show if its been assigned to a project or tracking category
When approving expenses in Xero Expenses, list the 'Assigned to: Project; show up next to the date and category for easy approval instead of having to click into the expense to ensure its been assigned to a project before approving the expense.

Reporting - Trial balance split by category
"Please provide or enable a template that allows the generation of a Trial Balance report with account groupings categorized under the same headings like Profit and Loss statement and Balance sheet."

In the meantime, did you know that you can group the Trial Balance by 'Account Class' or 'Account Type'? Whilst not the exact functionality requested, these options allow you to split the accounts up within the report.
