  1. Supplier and customer ledger - to be able to pull a supplier/ customer ledger, instead of pulling reports per contact. This would be ideal if it can be pulled for a certain period, to see all suppliers'/ customers' opening balances, movements and closing balances per supplier/ customer, all on one document.

  2. One custom template layout that could be transferred over all reports. We have multiple nominal codes for income and expenditure which means a lot of work to set up a new custom report. I currently have to export into excel which can cause errors.

  5. Some larger companies with automated systems do not want reminders going to the same email address that the invoices go to. Doing this results in a duplicate invoice going into their system, which stops the payment going through as they then need to manually sort out what's going on. They have one email address for the invoice and another for reminders, to avoid that duplication.
    Currently, we need to leave the email address on the contact, then turn off invoice reminders and make a note to manually send reminders.

    Hi everyone, unfortunately while we started work that would impact this feature, this has had to be put on the back burner for now with a few other pieces of work taking priority. We'll shift back to submitted for now and be sure to update you of any movement surrounding the idea, here. 

  7. Payroll Department Coding - to be able to put a department code on all payroll categories and report to show employee name/gross wages/department coding assigned to payroll. The only way in Xero at the moment is through timesheets but this does not allow for all payroll categories to have a department code allocated. And when producing a timesheet report it does not show the $ gross wages for each employee only the hours. Need to include coding on allowances, leave and super.

In the same way that we have 'Approve & View Next' for invoices in the draft and awaiting approval sections, it would be useful to have a 'Skip to Next' function in the event that you are missing information or unable to approve at that time. This would certainly save several clicks and make the process more fluid.

    Hi team! Our new quick view feature in bills allows you to simply view your bill and it's details without having to leave the list view.

    Move from one bill to the next using the arrow options and once you've reviewed make bulk actions by selecting multiple bills and using the list bulk action options like Batch pay, Approve, Add planned date, Print or Void 🥳

  9. It would be very useful to be able to separate Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to classify the contacts between external and internal (intercompany/group). This would assist with the consolidated views for a group of entities.

  10. We have grant funding so wages as well as super needs to be applied with the tracking code to acquit grant correctly. Presently, there is no availability to apply tracking codes against the superannuation, as well it is only available through timesheets for the wages.
    It would be very helpful if tracking codes could be applied directly with pay items in employee template (similarly like other software) so this can be applied when leave is taken also

  11. I need to be able to approve super when I am travelling and do not have access to text messages. It is most inflexible that there is only one method for doing this! Can the Xero Verify App not be used for auto super approvals too? Then I only need wifi.

    Or, can text be received to whatsapp instead?

  13. We need to include delivery notes with orders. The current packing slip does not cover this requirement. I'd like to be able to select multiple invoices, and bulk print delivery notes for them all. The delivery note needs to be somewhat customisable.

    The notion of having to edit an invoice and change the theme in order to generate a delivery note is completely impractical!

  14. Why do we now have to approve supplier invoices once entered in Xero?

    There has obviously been an update to change this. How do we revert back to once a supplier invoice has been entered it shows straight away under awaiting payment?

    This may depend on how you enter bills in your org and their set up. 

    Manually entering, there has been no direct change to behaviour and you should see options at the bottom of the create bill screen where you can Save (which will save as Draft) or Approve. 

    Hubdoc has options that can be selected to determine the status a bill is published from Hubdoc to Xero with, whereas both email to bills and eInvoicing have always generated Draft bills that require manual approval.

  15. The Xero App currently does not allow you to manually edit the tax amount on bills, and therefore in turn means you cannot approve bills with any tax adjustments made via the App.

    I'd like for this to become a feature to save any approvers having to log into Xero in another way just to approve a bill.

  17. I am working with Société Générale (France) and we are not so lucky to have the automated bank transactions functionality. Our bank is combining both main bank movement and credit card movements in their OFX format.

    This currently gives me the following error message in Xero : The file selected contains more than one statement which is not currently supported. Download a file with transactions for one account and try again.

    My error message finds its cause in the fact that I have an export from the bank that contains both <bankmsgrsv1> and <creditcardmsgrsv1> transactions.

  18. Many of my clients prefer a 37.5 hour work week (7.5 hours a day) to a 38 hour work week (7.6 hours a day).
    I am able to set the leave accruals to a 7.5 hour day but the standard work week in "'Assign default leave types" is always 38 hpw and I have to manually change it to 37.5 to match the leave accrual.

Currently, when preparing financial statements or other reports in Xero, you have to export the report to PDF to work out if you will need to insert page breaks to keep all related content on one page, or to ensure that a heading doesn't end up on one page and the information on the next. This can sometimes mean exporting a report multiple times if there are multiple page breaks required.

    Hi everyone! Today we released the new preview panel to all users 🥳

    Any report that you can edit the layout of now has a PDF preview on the right of the screen. You'll be able to instantly see how any changes you're making to your reports will be reflected (including page breaks).

    We thoroughly appreciate the input and feedback we've received from customers which has helped refine this end result. Thank you

  20. Fixing issues with holidays and making pro-rata holiday calculations automatically
    Calculate starting holiday allowance from the starting date of the employee for new employees joining throughout the year.
    Calculate final holiday allowance based on the end of employment date when employees leave.
    Since Xero knows the holiday hours per year and the working patterns, it has everything it needs to calculate this.

    Hi everyone, appreciate the feedback on the idea here. Being open we don't have any immediate work planned for this.

    However, I also wanted to highlight with differing needs and regulation our payroll products are developed separately for region specifically. We try to keep the ideas regionally separated in community here as it helps when feeding back to the team and also in keeping customers updated.

    That said we have a separate idea for this similar feature in AU Payroll and I've added any voters from AU to that idea to keep updated there.
