  1. When Bank or Superannuation details are changed for an employee, Xero sends an alert to the Admin/Account owner of the account. The employee details who have changed should also be sent an email alert.

  2. Many super fund member numbers have special characters, eg, dash '-' or underscore '_'.
    At the moment, only numbers can be entered as the Member Number, which means any member numbers with special characters are deemed 'invalid' by Xero. This means we are unable to process super payments for the staff member.

  3. Applying Mark up in Quote - Ability to hit 'apply mark up' and select specific costs / folders that the mark up is applied for. Ie labour costs are not based off markup but the products are. If you hit 'apply mark up' the markup gets applied to every single cost.

    Rounding back on the idea here it sounds like using non tracked inventory could be a solution. 

    In Products and services you can add items and enter a Purchase price and a Sales price for the same item. 

    This means you can add the marked up price for Sales and when you select the item in Quotes or Invoices this price will be reflected for the line item.

    Alternatively, you could add a discount to lines of your invoice if there is a general amount or % by which you would mark up items. 

    Keen to hear your feedback for these options.

  5. Would like to have the ability to customize the header for a paid invoice to be TAX INOVICE while the unpaid invoices are just called Invoice. Currently the templates allow for a custom title for the over due invoices, approved invoices but not paid invoices.

  6. If employees are putting their expenses onto Xero Projects then you should be able to pull a report and pay their expenses from it. Otherwise they are going to have to duplicate work by putting it on Projects and then submitting an expense claim.

    Maybe a case of understanding your workflows here a bit better, Rachel. Currently when entering an expense through Xero Expenses you can assign to Projects so these'll attach and show against your Projects in Xero - Would be great to get more details if there's something in here which requires duplication. 

  7. Since the change to the updated Bank Rules page, it now defaults to 'Any Conditions Match'.

    I have to change this to 'All Conditions Match' literally every. single. time. I create a bank rule, otherwise it defaults to matching almost all transactions.

    This is a disaster waiting to happen.

    Thanks for sharing back on the change, Alan. It's difficult to make changes to suit everyone's needs, and changing the default from 'All' to 'Any' was carefully considered as part of the recent updates to Bank Rules. 

    This was something users told us would be helpful as many more users create 'loose' rules to capture more statement lines.

    Currently there aren't any plans to change this back. What would be more useful would be the ability to set your own default, but for now we'll begin to track the interest of this here.

  9. In the older Project Report function it was possible to select the Supplier Name. This option is now not available in the newer Project Financials report. This is useful as it allows supplier engagement for a specific project to be monitored and avoids the need to perform other more long-winded searches.

  10. Payment Schedule Date - add from other screens

    Make it easier to schedule payment dates. I love the ability to schedule payment dates but it is only available from one screen. It would be great to be able to add a schedule payment date from within the purchase. That would mean you could approve and schedule from the one screen.

  11. I would like to be able to have a link to click that takes you back to the project that the invoice was created from. There is a note to say what project it was but I have to go to projects and find the project, I would love for this note to be a direct link to the project.

  12. Be able to run depreciation from 6th to 5th of a month for businesses that have a financial year end of 5 April.
    Whilst you can do this for a 1st year of trading, we have found that you are unable to run it for any year after and after checking with xero, you are unable to run depreciation if the fixed asset start date is not the 1st of the month.

  18. Update the monthly payroll to calculate based on the number of work hours in the month, rather than taking the yearly salary / 12 / number work hours. Given that each month has a different number of work days, the pay rate changes every month and this is a compliance issue.

  19. Show the total amount of Domestic Reverse Charge VAT on an invoice, to make it clear to the customer what is due by them.

    It is not necessary to show the VAT amount on each line, when it is the same for the whole invoice.
    While Xero may be compliant with HMRC, it is not right for businesses who are being repeatedly asked for this information to be shown on invoices. It would be a simple fix for Xero as the functionality is already in place.

    This is on a discussion thread with plenty of users requesting the same thing.

  20. Generally working in Xero is very efficient. However, when paying approved expense claims (and recording the payment) I have to constantly switch between keyboard to type in the payment amount (which is displayed in a cell above) and the mouse to select the payment date and payment account. I can't imagine a scenario when the amount paid is not the amount approved. Why is this cell not pre-populated with the approved amount? If it was it would halve the time it would take me to register payments against expense claims.
