Purchase orders in app search feature on samsung
I create a purchase order through the Xero App
I go to Categorise to an account - on my iPhone it has a search accounts feature, on my colleagues Samsung phone there is no search feature - he has to scroll through all the accounts listed to find the correct accounting code
Will this feature be added to Samsung phones?We also found this was the same when selecting Projects or Plant (tracking categories), on my iPhone I had a search feature, on his Samsung he did not and again would have to scroll through the extensive list we have to select

Attached bills to batch payment
After generating the batch payment for bank processing, I would like xero to add the functionality to upload or attach the source data/ original bills files to a batch payment.
It is time consuming to download each bill manually for approver who like to review the original bills.
s it possible in Xero to attach the original bills to the batch payment list—based on the bills selected for processing—instead of having user to download each bill individually

Purchase Orders - Mark items as received to update inventory without having to create an approved bill
We often receive all or partial items of a purchase order before the supplier bill. We want to be able to mark these items as received on the PO so that our inventory will update the quantity we have on hand.

Contacts - Keep 'Use as billing address' checked when edited
When using the new Check box. 'Use as billing address'. If you type in the address afterwards and edit the address. It deletes the the selected checkbox. 'use as billing address'
Just frustrating as you have to go back in and recheck.

Contacts - View balance of outstanding amount in multi currency
I would like to have having ability to quickly see the outstanding amount in the currency it was originally invoiced (like USD or EUR) directly from contacts dashboard, without having to navigate through detailed reports and apply multiple filters. This would save a lot of time.

6-digit unique cheque number limit needs to be expanded
When writing a cheque, I am limited to a 6-digit unique cheque number. With QUickBooks I used the date as the checknumber. For example May 31 2025 would be 20250531, then I append a letter to it as 20250531a. With making payment on web sites and then entering checks into Xero this still allows things to sort properly. Being limited to 6 numbers makes it harder to keep track of things.

Overpayment - Ability to set allocation date
Set Overpayment Allocation Date:
Currently we are not allowed to change the date when an overpayment is applied to an invoice. It is allocated to the issue date of the invoice.
The inability to change the date when allocating the overpayment to an invoice is causing problems where payments are now being applied to a closed sales tax period, which in turn causes the need for sales tax amendments and additional report filing.1 voteThanks for sharing the reasons why this is important to your. AU Payroll | Employee - View employment duration date below start date
The "Details" tab lists the employee's age under the "Date of birth" field.
Having "Employed for # Years & # Months" below the "Start date" field would be handy. It would give a quick, "at a glance" look at how long someone has been employed by a business for estimating notice periods and anticipating imminent entitlement to LSL.
Attached is what the "Date of birth" currently looks like (I've used my own name and birth year) and a mock-up of what I'm suggesting might look like.
Given that the "Details" tab already does almost exactly this, it should be a nothing effort to implement.

AU Payroll - Add keyboard shortcuts.
Add the ability to navigate through payroll with keyboard shortcuts. Currently tab takes you out of the input fields rather than navigating to the next available field, which is illogical from a UX perspective. It would also be beneficial to have shortcuts for 'save' and 'save and next' rather than having to navigate down and click next.

There are other payroll system they do this, and with the minimum wage requirements changing every year, there should be an automatic update or prompt to change anyone who is affected by this, to avoid the error in not paying out correctly as per the legislation,

Purchase Order Posting to General Ledger + Xero Projects Integration
The functionality to be able to raise and approve a Purchase Order which, at the point of approval, would create a double entry in the general ledger. Specifically:
• Debit a Work in Progress (WIP) expenses account (to reflect anticipated expenditure),
• Credit a creditors account (to reflect the anticipated liability).
This would allow the PO to reflect a commitment in the accounts, enabling better management of Work In Progress and projected costs before the supplier invoice arrives.
In an ideal world, to be able to allocate the PO to a Xero Project, so that WIP and anticipated costs appear within the project reporting as well. This would give far more accurate forecasting and project-level financial visibility.
As it stands, it is understood that Xero POs are non-posting documents and only affect the ledger once a bill is created and approved. That leaves a visibility and accounting gap for committed costs — especially problematic for longer-term projects or cashflow planning.

Hubdoc Tags Should be Visible in Xero
We tag documents for organisation in Hubdoc, but have no visibility of these in Xero, which makes no sense. These don't need to be editable, but it would make sense that it showed what tags were on an invoice. Even if this was detailed in the history of the invoice. This would be a massive time-saver!

Hi Xero Team , Kindly find attached file for your reference. I am sharing video file and screenshot that feature very useful for all user and copy above cell during invoice and bill generate. I am suggesting to IT team if they unlock drag and drop copy cell from above cell from mouse that feature would be very appreciated and may help to all user to easy invoicing and bill that help to time saving while enter multiple similar details in invoice or bill. I have also mentioned how to prevent accidental drag & drop cell with using ON/OFF button in my screenshot. Thanks

Bills - Bill.com Settings within Xero
I've been using your Bill.com integration for the last couple of weeks and I already had to reach out to Xero support twice to make a simple change in Bill.com settings. This requires the user (me) to open a case in Xero which subsequently has Xero support open a case in Bill.com (and then Xero support going back and forth between Bill.com and the user).
There should be either:
a settings page within Xero for all the Bill.com settings and variables or,
Ability to have credentials on Bill.com to update the Bill.com settings.
