  1. Please add unit and rate columns in this report.

    I know the second option is Payroll Activity Details report. However, when I download this report in excel, the Pay item type is under the employee column i.e not separated.

  2. It would be great to be have the option of a "related account" or "split" in the Account Transactions Report, so that you can see the other half of the transaction (opposing debit or credit) without having to click on the transaction to view the full detail.

    You can select 'Related Account' from the Columns drop down in the Account Transactions report to include this information.

    I've attached a screenshot as an example 😊

  3. I am looking to have the cost price included in the Inventory item details report even though the item is not tracked.
    We sell a service and we cannot track the item as there is no amount to it.
    But when running the report the cost price does not show

  4. The current Statement Exceptions report in the Bank Reconciliation report pack doesn't differentiate between statement lines that were deleted individually and statement lines that were deleted as part of removed an entire statement. Both are listed as Deleted (Manually).

    It would be helpful if the report marked these types of deletions differently since only individually deleted statement lines still appear on the Bank statements tab/can be restored.

  5. GST - where an entity trades in different tax jurisdictions, allow the file to create the ability to manage GST for different countries (different GST codes) in separate GST accounts and not all consolidated into one GST account.
    eg if an entity trades in Australia and New Zealand, you can have an Australian GST account and a NZ GST account to make reconciliation and completion of BAS easier.

    Hi team, we appreciate the attention this idea has received and do want to share that while we aren't directly developing at this stage, notification and being able to collaborate on bills is something our team are currently looking into. 

    We can't provide any promises right now, but we wanted to loop you all in on news. Once the teams research has concluded and we have a better sight on what can be done in this space I'll return to update you all, here. Thanks

  7. There is nowhere to report missing features and bugs apart from this forum, which is more for ideas.
    I have found it difficult to find a place to report an issue quickly.
    For new invoicing the list of missing features and bugs should be reported so we can see what has already been picked up and what is being worked on and fixed.

    HI Jill, appreciate you posting here, not knowing where else to go.

    For something that appears to not be working as it should or where you're having performance issues in Xero - these are best to raise with our specialists at Xero Support where we have tools to investigate, triage any issues and escalate with our team if needed.

    When it comes to new invoicing we've communicated a lot of the changes and what's coming up through our Xero central page here. Otherwise, you'll also find many ideas for changes across product ideas here that I'd recommend joining for updates where you're interested. Searching 'New invoicing' on the main page of the site should help you find a list of the different features.

  8. Some xero reports can be run by last month, last quarter, last financial year etc. The above report can only be run by entering specific dates. Could this report have the same pre set date options added? This would be useful for client query lists for monthly/ quarterly BAS Returns, annual accounts/ tax returns etc

  9. Adding tracking categories to VAT return/reports:

    I would like to run a VAT return/report per quarter to be shown by tracking category rather than as a whole. There is not an option on the current VAT report to add the tracking categories, therefore I think this would add benefits to any client that uses tracking categories for departments.

    Thanks for your response, Jordan. Can see why the Account Transactions report won't fit in this scenario. 

    To be upfront we don't have current plans around this with much of our reporting teams focus on change in the new reporting framework in lead up to removing older reports in July this year - More on this here 

    I've slightly amended the title of your idea and we'll feel out the interest for this here and update if any change is planned. 

    For now if not already, I'd highly encourage sharing link to the idea here with your clients and colleagues that'd like to see this to support, too. 

  10. Currently, when the Payroll Activity Detail report downloads to PDF, it includes deductions (including those that are not salary-sacrificed super) and reimbursements. However, when the Excel report is downloaded, those lines are missing. Please include everything that's in the PDF version in the Excel version.

  11. Since the latest Payroll update there seems to be no functionality in Xero to change how the name of the Employee Summary report appears when saved. There are too many _ between words, for example: JoeBloggsPtyLtd-PayrollEmployee_Summary 4 June 2024.

    So frustrating. Bring back the old style PDF format.

  12. It would be really useful to view supplier invoices and payments on the same report like a Supplier Ledger. Currently I need to view the Expenses by Contact report for invoice history and then go into Bank Account Transactions and search for payments for a particular supplier, and there seems to be no option to print or export out once you search. In other systems this is a standard report and is very handy when checking inter-company transaction history across a group of related entities. Does anyone have a better workaround?

    Totally appreciate continued interest in being able to see more in your supplier interactions. Now in Oct 2021, we've been continuing to improve & evolve Xero reports.

    Along with the series of Contact Transactions reports, there are our Payable Invoice reports, and a fresh Income & Expenses report which can easily be run for just Expenses.

    You'll also find the Account Transactions report can be filtered by 'Description' containing contact name, and a filter for 'Source' so you can select the specific transaction types you'd like to view data for.

    Hey everyone, thanks for all the votes and feedback on this idea! Our product teams have definitely taken note and understand the effort involved in automatic report generation and sending.

    While it's something we see as valuable in the long run, it's not currently on our development roadmap with a specific timeframe. We're still keen to hear from those of you who would find this feature helpful, so please keep the conversation and votes coming. We'll be sure to update you if our plans change.

  14. Hey - when making a custom report it would be really useful to be able to show the movement in balance sheet codes. For example, when preparing our month end summary we can't bring in the capitalised wages cost automatically because it brings in the cumulative balance, rather than the balance for the period. To be honest it's crazy to me that this doesn't exist, but would be great if it could!

    Being open, we don't have any current plans for changing the Custom report behaviour but we'll continue to track the interest through your idea here and will update if there is any changes to share.

  15. Reporting - ability to "save" a draft management report rather than "save as".

    Being forced to "save as" every time you want to save your progress means you end up with dozens of versions.
    As you can so easily navigate away from a report without saving, we have to save progress regularly when say adding notes and comments to a report. We then have to go back and delete old copies so that the lists of REAL draft reports are manageable.
    We really need a "save and continue updating" option.

    If you customise a report and save it, you’ll now be taken straight to the custom report.

    If you then modify the report and re-save, it’ll update the custom report, rather than creating a new one!

  16. with the new functionality of adding start end times and notes, we are not able to print or download this data in any reporting. the only way we can SEE this info is in the individual timesheet by person.
    If you can update the report to include all information that would be useful as the current process is only half done.

  18. VAT201 Report - PDF link to scanned tax invoices. It will be great to have a PDF link to scanned invoices attached to bills and invoices in the transaction by field number report. It will be easier and save time to download and save from this screen, instead of opening the actual bill or invoice in order to download attached documents for upload on SARS efiling for VAT verification/audit.

  19. The ability to remove the nominal accounts from a budget or show only selection of nominal accounts on a budget report. This would be useful so we can send budget owners a reports which shows only the budget lines that they are interested in and keeps actuals and forecasts in other nominal codes confidential.

  20. I have a client whose workers use toll gates daily, often returning on the same day. Xero sees this as a duplicate expense and delete the second transaction.
    It would help if Xero can create a report showing these duplicates and giving the option to pull them into the bank.
