  1. Xero cannot current cope with companies that have more than one pension scheme. The upload I need to send to the pension provider includes payroll number, pensionable earnings for period, start date and date of birth. It would be useful if Xero had the ability to add these and additional fields if required customised in the contribution report.

  2. Display in the Contact Section the amount of Credit the customer has in his favor because of prepayments made by them. You are able to see the customers credit when you have an invoice they owe for it to be credited to that specific invoice. But it would be super helpful to view in that little summary of the customer, how much he owes the company and if there is any credit in his favor to be applier.

    Appreciate the screenshot showing where you'd like to see this, Carlos. Not something we have immediate plans for but we'll track the interest here and share if there are any changes planned for surfacing credit limits visibility on a contacts record.

  3. It'd be great if the new bank reconciliation feature called Reconcile Period was available in Demo Company (US) so we could test it out without impacting live data.

  4. To display the potential project margin % and variance from expected invoice and costs as baseline to compare with actual performance. OR allow the project report to be customised to add calculated fields. So staff can instantly see the potential of the project, and look to adjust if necessary before sending to quote or invoice.

  5. In New Invoicing can the Date field be left blank when in draft status as per previously. Regularly I create draft invoices and want to continue to be able to leave the date blank or to put tentative dates in before moving forwards int he process.

  6. Can we please add the ability to set up a sub-category under category options?

    For instance, we have already tracking categories by store locations (i.e. Loc 1, Loc 2, Loc 3). However, we need to have a sub-category per Deputy's area (i.e. FOH, BOH) under the store locations.

    Category option: Loc 1 (Store Location)
    Sub-category option: FOH, BOH (Area)

    If we could set up a sub-category under tracking options, that would be great. Thank you!

  8. It would be great to be able to show two payment services on the invoice template. Currently you can only select one option from the drop down. We offer POLi payments and credit card payments via Stripe but cannot currently display both options using the invoice template. We have to manually select both options on each invoice & this is quite time consuming when issuing a large number of invoices.

    Thanks for sharing, Julie - It's good to hear you're aware of the ability to provide this on an invoice by invoice basis. It's not something we have plans for extending to Invoice templates/branding for the time being, but we'll track the interest from your idea here and share if any plans are made. 🙂

  9. If a client has overpaid an invoice, or paid an invoice that has been voided/credited, when Ihave reconciled the incoming payment as an Overpayment, I would then like to be able to create a Bill from this payment so that the refund it sitting in Bills Awaiting Payment.

  10. while generating the quotation, we would like our company details to appear on the continuation pages as well. Currently, only the UEN number is being displayed. Additionally, we would like to include page numbers for easier reference by our customers.

    Hi 👋 , just to get a better sense of what you'e asking here. It sounds the Quotes you create may be quite large and span multiple pages - Are you asking for the ability to enter a custom header that would appear across each page of your quote?

  12. When Xero are emailing out their invoices please can you go back to attaching the invoices as a pdf as it quicker to be able to forward them rather than having to sign in and save them as draft, especially when you are having to do loads for clients.

    Thanks for sharing back on this, everyone. We'd like to confirm the way the options works now when sending in new invoicing - This is triggered by previous behaviour.

    So, when you send using new invoicing, the selection for 'Attach PDF' is driven by the last invoice you sent. If the last selection was unticked the next invoice you send will automatically be unticked, and vice versa.

    What's worth noting is that this is a browser based setting. For example if you change computers or browsers your setting will revert to default where both options are unticked. As you'll see from my recent update on this similar idea this is something we may explore further down the line but we don't have any immediate changed planned for.

  13. Activity statement line items can now be sorted in the Activity Statement report in Xero, which is great to be able to review transactions by Account Name, to group similar transactions. However, transactions do not keep this order when exported to CSV or PDF. If manually sorted by the user in the Activity Statement report, the exported report should keep the same sorting preferences.

  14. Allow all feilds to appear on a Xero invoice not just the select few.
    currently there can be added https://central.xero.com/s/article/Fields-you-can-insert-into-a-custom-template-AU#Invoicetemplatefields

    Should include everythig in the contact cards, like Fax, 2nd mobile, and all the other fields.

  15. Massive oversight by Xero.
    E-Invoicing only available to VAT registered companies as you have to enter a VAT number. What about all the non-registered companies?
    Why can't you select that you aren't VAT registered and be able to benefit by E-Invoicing?

    Hi everyone, we appreciate interest from non-VAT registered businesses that would like to make use of the efficiencies eInvoicing brings.

    As the UK do not have a standard business number, this create complexity in being able to identify and register non-VAT registered businesses on the Peppol network.

    While this is an idea that we'd like to continue to gain interest from our community in, we want to be upfront we don't have any plans to support eInvoicing for non-VAT registered businesses in the near term.

    We're actively advocating for this with the UK Government as part of their recent e-Invoicing consultation.

  17. On classic invoicing, when you click the account category space or the tracking category it would fill in from the contact default, or account default or some default. But on new invoicing it only fills in if you tab.

    Thanks for the added detail, Becky. This is good to know when sharing back with the team. While this may be something we look closer at down the line, I want to be open that we don't have direct change planned in the near term.

    Understand it's a few more clicks at present, potentially to save tabbing 8 time clicking on the Tax Rate column and then tabbing once may save a little time atm. Completely get it's not a resolve though.

    Account Team - Is it possible that this would be when you're copying an invoice to a new draft invoice? If so, and you select the same Contact defaults aren't automatically applied and you'd need to remove and re-add the contact on the new draft invoice to trigger defaults to be applied. Otherwise, I'd recommend raising a case with our team of specialists for a closer look as…

  19. You should be able to create a Bill Credit note directly from the FILES folder of your profile. This way when you go in to check the Credit note, you can create it straight away, rather than have to go out, in to Bills, and then have to create it from there.
    OR when you send an 'invoice'/attachment through to your draft bills, you should be able to change it to be a bill credit note rather than a bill

  20. It would be really useful to have a way of typing the date without having to use a / in between the numbers, like you could on classic invoicing

    e.g. 20012024 used to convert automatically to 20th January 2024 on classic invoicing

    Thanks for your interest in this idea, everyone. We understand there are different ways our customers find useful when entering dates for invoices in Xero.

    Based on feedback our team are looking at improvements to the date pickers in new invoicing. While I can't confirm exactly what these will entail atm, we'll shift the idea to working on it and I'll be back to confirm when we have more of the detail.
