  1. It is impossible to us the credit card bankfeed function and allow for the credit card user to account for these expenses in Xero Me.
    Solution: allow for credit card transactions to pull through into Xero Me via automatic sychronisation. This should provide a more streamline approach to recordinng individual company card expenditure, remove time in reconciling missing receipts and remove duplication.

  2. Please remove the invoice amount from the "New Invoicing"

    This should be optional for set templates like the classic invoicing where you could turn it off and on. It doesn't look great and prefer the older layout of the emails where you could control the layout more.

  3. Repeating Invoices - Ability to bulk update repeating invoices.

    We provide a subscription service which some of the 470+ customers have been using for years.

    At times we make changes to T&Cs, the wording, rates, payment services etc. and it would be extremely times shaving if we could do bulk changes i.e. change the Item, Due Date, Reference, Payment Services etc, without having to go into each repeating invoice individually.

  4. Under all the new rules and regulations set down by the Tax Practitioners Board, it is a requirement to keep a backup copy of the data file. We do not want to start a new Xero file from a backup - that is not logical. We need the ability to click on a button and run a backup to comply with the new rules. Using another app is also not a solution. It must be built in the the Xero program that we can use as bookkeepers. This is an essential feature if we are to comply and do regular…

  5. The functionality to be able to raise and approve a Purchase Order which, at the point of approval, would create a double entry in the general ledger. Specifically:

    • Debit a Work in Progress (WIP) expenses account (to reflect anticipated expenditure),

    • Credit a creditors account (to reflect the anticipated liability).

    This would allow the PO to reflect a commitment in the accounts, enabling better management of Work In Progress and projected costs before the supplier invoice arrives.

    In an ideal world, to be able to allocate the PO to a Xero Project, so that WIP and anticipated costs appear…

    We've reviewed your idea for having approved Purchase Orders post to the general ledger and integrate with Xero Projects. This suggestion is now ready to gain support and feedback from other community members.

  6. New invoicing...Very slow page load speeds to both open/create a new invoice on the new invoicing platform...and also to add a payment.

    Current wait time is 15-20 seconds per page load.

    Ive cleared cache and cookies to no avail

    Appreciate the short videos and can see what you're saying, Chris - Have you raised a case with our Xero Support team about the slowness in loading?

    Actual slowness in the page loading are issues that we'd like to dig into deeper as they aren't occurring for all users so it'd be good to be able to investigate one on one with our Xero Support team who can escalate if needed. Thanks

  7. When reconciling transactions and Find & Match is used, usually for multiple matches, please add an attachment button.
    In the example of one payment matched to multiple sales invoices, there is usually a remittance provided by the client that we need to file with the payment.
    We shouldn't need to go back to a reconciled transaction and manually add the remittance to each line individually.

  8. Timesheet approval process

    1. Give payroll admins the ability to move the status from "draft" to "pending approval" as is possible in NZ and UK or
    2. Give permissions to users with approval power to see the timesheet in the "draft" status through "Xero me" or
    3. Permit users with approval power to see the "timesheet" module in addition to "Xero me"

    I’d like to submit a request for an enhancement to Xero Payroll to improve the setup and management of default superannuation funds.

    Currently, when adding a default fund in Xero, there is uncertainty around what should be entered in the Member Number field. We typically process super contributions through the ATO Portal, but we would love to have the ability to do this directly within Xero.

    Specifically, we would like the ability to:

    Add a Default Fund chosen by the employer.

    Assign employees who do not have an existing super fund to this default fund.

  13. Instead of referring to reconcile transactions, it would be better to refer to categorise or allocate transactions.

    Bank transactions are categorised - we tell Xero what each transaction is for - answers "What was this for?" However at present this is called Reconcile transactions

    Reconciling an Account - is matching the above transactions to the bank's records (statement) - checking that every transaction in Xero matches what actually happened in the bank account and the end balance matches.

    The terminology seems to confuse some and they think by categorising/allocating a transaction they have reconciled the account.

    Thanks for your feedback and for pointing out how the term "Reconcile" can be confusing—especially for those new to Xero or bookkeeping.

    We get that using clearer terms like "Categorise" or "Allocate" might feel more intuitive and help reduce confusion when working through bank reconciliation.

  14. It would be great if Xero could automatically do the transfer between Xero bank accounts.
    This is our most time consuming and often error-prone coding in Xero when it should be a simple fix. Many clients still battle with this.

  15. We bulk upload invoices in advance with "Draft" invoice numbers as we don't know their ultimate sequence for issue. We then assign a chronological invoice number when the invoice is approved and/or saved. In "Classic" invoicing, if I delete the invoice number it automatically assigned the next number in sequence e.g. #INV-0089, however in "New" invoicing if I delete the invoice number is warns me that I need a number and reverts to the original "Draft" number" and not the next chronological number in sequence.     Hi team, we appreciate the added feedback from you on the behaviours from classic that you'd find useful in new invoicing. The invoice number assignment is still a feature that our teams are continuing to monitor closely. Right now, while we don’t have plans for changing the way invoice numbers are assigned, our product teams are considering future improvements - As part of this they are doing some discovery that we’d love to get your contribution to.

  16. I would like the option to remove the 'set up online payments' box whenever I create a new invoice. For companies like ours who are never going to use this function, it's irrelevant and takes up unnecessary space (we use invoice finance and our clients don't pay us directly). Could there be a toggle button in the settings to be able to switch this off?

  17. This is a known issue that needs to be voted on to be prioritized.

    The Auto Sales Tax feature in Xero (from Avalara) disallows the ability to use Find and Recode. This is a huge limitation that will have massive repercussions as time goes on. Please fix this promptly.

As I am an external accountant to several client, each with several pay-calendars across numerous entities, I would much appreciate if the ABA files (much like pdf reports) could be given a naming convention that ties the ABA clearly to entity, and pay-calendar when I screen through my downloads.

  19. Your new "Make Payment" button and the Action column can not be removed/disabled in the Bills view. It is repetitive, distracting, and disruptive to my normal workflow.

    I would appreciate it if Xero did not diminish my user experience as a paying customer in order to promote a new service it is offering.

    Thanks to everyone that contributed and gave feedback to the teams survey that was shared in my last update.

    There was a lot of valuable insights that the team are able to take from this as they continue to plan whats next in invoicing.

    We understand and appreciate there are different flows for how our customers invoicing, and the timing of adding files can be dependent on these flows also.

    Our team are currently reviewing and exploring solutions to enable attachment of files to an invoice prior to the Contact. As soon as I have more news around this I'll be sure to share with you all through the idea here.
