Purchase Orders - Auto-populate '1' in the Quantity column
When creating a new line, auto populate the quantity box as '1', rather than having to type it out each time

Management Report - Ability to save individual reports as custom
Management Report: Be able to save individual reports in the management report as custom reports. Currently only the pack can be saved as a custom report. If I have edited the profit and loss I cannot save this specific report to be used in other management packs.

AU Payroll - Specify leave approver
Ability to specify a set approver for a specific employee for when they submit leave requests.
Employees who are nominated as a leave approver should only be able to approve leave for the specific employees who have them nominated as their approver.
Alternatively, employees who have the "Authorised to Approve Leave" checkbox ticked should only be able to approve leave by employees in the same Employee Group.
Only payroll admins should be able to approve leave for all employees.

Bills - Back button after adding a payment, to view other bills for the same supplier
When paying a supplier bill, there should be a back button to get back to the same supplier to continue paying more of that suppliers outstanding bills due for payment once a payment has been made. Currently once you have paid a single bill for a supplier, you have to go back to the bills page and search for another bill or search for the supplier again, it takes twice as long as it should and makes more room for error (our company like many others i would guess need to check each bill against the products we ordered with that supplier so it works better for us to pay bills one at a time rather than in batches) and the current set up makes paying multiple invoices with the same supplier more laborious than it should be if you want to pay a few in succession.

New invoicing - Separate edit and copy options
The relocation of ‘edit’ on the drop down feature of options within invoicing.
Reason being, it is far too close to ‘copy’ and on a couple of occasions whilst invoicing I have selected ’edit’ rather than ‘copy’ which has caused some cash flow issues and time explaining to clients where the issue has arisen.
By simply separating them on the drop down would eliminate the accidental selection. Once selecting ‘edit’ or ‘copy’ the only difference is once changes invoice number and the other doesn’t.

Reports - Ability to include Draft bills and invoices in cashflow reports
I would like to visualise how draft bills and invoices affect my cashflow, something which I know is not possible at the moment. This would allow me to predict how multiple open quotes & projects could affect my financing requirements. Could this be added in future?

Reconciliation - Xero subscription invoice to be added automatically to xero for reconciliation
This should be automatically added to your account, rather than having to save to Xero manually each month

With the latest change you'll now find we've made it easier for you to opt-in to receive your Xero subscription bill via eInvoicing. You can now do this from your online invoice (My Bills page) instead of through the Billing contact page. Helping save you time and reduce manual data entry every month.😁
We understand there are other regions that'd still like to see this functionality developed and we'll shift back to submitted and share when there is news of moving this further afield.
We also wanted to address the recent comment of data sharing - We'd like to confirm that Xero do not share data with Peppol.com. We use the Peppol network and the subscription invoices are sent using our wholly owned provider, Tickstar. -
Reporting - Show Invoice Approved Date in the Current Nominal transactions Report for Turnover reconciliation
Turnover per XERO and VAT declared Net Sales should be ideally Equal ,however often may not match and therefore need reconciling-which is important to understand the difference from both the YE accounts and HMRC point of view .
There should be a report in XERO which can facilitate this reconciliation rather than use spreadsheets -which is time consuming when the information is already existing in XERO
One of difference arising is -"The Date" invoice created and approved -are different and will report in different periods of the VAT return and Xero Sales Nominal Account
Example -Invoice created and left as Draft -dated 26/4/23 (note 1)
Approved on 20/9/23 (Note 2)Note 1 -The Nominal Account will show this sale dated 26/4/23 ie Qtr say April -June 23
Note 2 -The VAT entry as output will be declared in Qtr July -Sept 23This calculation gets complicated with lots of such entries in the year and suggest a report on sales within Xero to be able to pick up both Created and approved dates for each sales invoice and an option in the current Nominal codes transactions report.

AU Payroll - Make multiple draft pay runs
Ability to draft future payruns - ie more than 1 darft payrun. Especially at Christmas time. I would like to draft up future payruns before Igo on leave, but still have the ability to adjust this week payrun for overtime etc. At the moment I can't move forward until I complete current payrun. or i have to do un unscheduled payrun to fix it. Very time consuming

We have slightly changed the idea here to reflect the desire for this in AU Payroll, and have created a separate one across here for NZ Payroll.
While there are no plans for developing this within our AU Payroll product right now, we'll continue to track the interest from you all here, and update if there is any change planned.

Sales Invoice | Delivery address - Update for individual invoice
Delivery Address:
To have the ability to add a delivery address when raising an invoice that can be printed onto the invoice. This would need to permanently save the delivery address to that invoice. When a new invoice to the same customer is raised then have the ability to enter another delivery address if required without effecting the previous invoice delivery address.

UK Payroll - Redundancy Report
A report to show the company's redundancy liability. This would show employees who have been in service for 2 years which are eligible for redundancy. It would need to state the employees name, payroll number, how many full years in service they have given, their average weekly pay over the last 12 weeks, their age. It would be great if the report could then show the actual liability amount where anyone under 41 years old would be paid 1 week per years in service and anyone over 41 would be paid 1.5 weeks per years in service. It should also be smart to know there is a cap of currently £700 per and 20 years service.

Contacts - Ability to mark suppliers as preferred
A way to mark contacts as " preferred suppliers",( traffic light colours?) and a way to attach a document to this contact such as a hire agreement/ contract/ agreed rates/insurance documents etc.

In terms of contracts, you can currently upload files to a contacts record which is where you could upload any contract, hire agreements, rates etc.

Bills to Pay - Ability to filter by Contact Group
Xero is very limited by only allowing 200 invoices to show on the page on the awaiting payment screen - a filter to exclude some clients based on the client type would be helpful
e.g. creating a client type for direct debit payments would help reduce the number of invoices.56 votes -
UK Payroll - Change employee regular earnings in draft pay run
Payroll:
Allow changes to employees' regular earnings details even when a draft pay run is in progress. If an employee's rate needs to be changed, they should be unticked or deselected in the draft pay run.
Currently, the entire pay run needs to be deleted, even if only one out of fifty employees needs a rate change, doubling the time spent on preparing the pay run. All calculations for overtime, leave, reimbursements, and deductions will need to be redone.
Hopefully, this can be considered.

Quote - Ability to have quote reminder
Add feature to automatically follow up on quotes / send quote reminder *days before expiry or *days after quote issued — as there is with invoices. This feature comes standard with most other quoting interfaces.

I can assure you, though we mightn't be able to provide updates as frequently as you'd like to see, our product teams are heavily involved in the forums here and our community team often connect to share trends, discuss developments and externally communicate changes that are coming across Xero products. It's important to us to continue developing Xero to streamline payments and help our customers get paid sooner, and your idea here does sit in this realm.

Email Templates - Account Number Placeholder

Can we have a place holder to allow us to include our Account Number in the subject and body of our default emails to clients for invoices and statements10 votesThanks for the confirmation, Sally. We have some current work underway with the email send modal in invoices, however I want to be open that at the time the team are not extending to add new placeholders that can be used.
For now, as you may have found you can edit the default email to add the Contact Account Number before sending the invoice. Appreciate wanting something more automated and we'll continue to track the interest of this idea and share if there's any development.
