  1. I have an international client who has just switched to Xero but their main business is in Switzerland (complicated tax rules). Can Xero provide add an add-on to Swiss Xero users to comply with the tax rules there.

  2. It would be so much better to be able to publish a GST return with the ability to alphabetically list the Account names so all transactions can be presented grouped by the same account code. Then the client can easily review their audit report and identify transactions in the wrong account code.

  3. Have come across Xero "feature" of auto filling the account code on a bill, however the code Xero put in had nothing to do with the expense and never has been. The ability to switch this feature off so clients have to actually look for the correct code would be beneficial.

    Xero will use your defaults accounts for a supplier or the inventory item to assign a pre-selected account code to the bill you've created. You can read a bit more about that here.


    Just to clarify, is this the feature you're referring to? If so, it's possible to disable this by not entering in defaults for the items or contacts in question 😊

  4. XPM does not cater for titles for non-binary individuals. We have an individual who is non-binary. Their title is MX. This is currently not an option that is available in the Title drop down menu. Can this be added by Xero please?

  5. Instead of having to add users in three places (HQ, Workpapers & Tax), have the ability to add them once and this then flow through to the additional tools in use at the practice

  6. When giving a client access to their Xero file for the client to be able to add codes to the chart you need to give the client advisor access - Maybe the access to the chart of accounts should be added to the cashbook client as a tick box option (like manage users is in the adviser access)

  8. Enable a Bank account to be created when the Chart of Accounts we have created in HQ is imported. Currently, this is not possible. All Bank accounts in the COA need to be changed to Current Assets, and then in the newly created Xero Blue organisation file, the "Bank" accounts have to be deleted and created again! Very annoying. The overall process is great, but this is annoying. We have many bank accounts in our various standard chart of accounts. I want to include the bank accounts so that my staff know the account numbers to use when they set…

  10. When you have multiple companies using Xero and utilise the function to approve bills in Xero for audit tracking purposes you need a way to view the number of bills "Awaiting approval" in all of the companies in one place.

    It is very time consuming to open each company individually in order to confirm that there are bills that need approval.

  11. When changing organisations, it would be great to see more than five.

    Suggest you show them all so we can scroll until we find the one one want, not just rely on using the search to type in the name of the organisation, if it doesn't appear in the current list of five

  12. It would be extremely helpful to be able to view and report on how much of the budget is left on a job.

    Reports in XPM focus on time rather than WIP and there are no standard reports that include job budgets. I want to be able to report on how much of the budget is left on a job without having to export to excel and run a formula.

    MYOB had a great Job Manager and you could view all jobs on one screen and see the budget and what budget left and if there was more WIP than…

  15. Dear Support, it would be very handy to have a report so that we can ascertain the status of a clients AS. I know that there is the visual on the status bar. But if you do not have the AS an automated process, for workflow purposes, it would be good to know that is a client is scheduled to has an AS completed, that in fact, this has been completed in the workflow.     Xero have been a bit quiet on the issue of MTD for ITSA. What is the suggested solution for ITSA? If the Xero plan is to charge the starter plan at £14/month (plus VAT) I think you will lose a lot of the market share. MTD for ITSA needs a simple £5/month solution for sole traders with ability to use expenses app for free. The costs of £14/month plus £2.50 for expenses is going to lose a lot of our clients to competitors like FreeAgent (which is free if you have an RBS/Natwest/Mettle account). Finding it hard…

  17. Ability to customise the mapping of the workpaper hotlinks!

    The hotlink feature in workpapers is pretty neat in that it will automatically link in the relevent reports however this could be even more powerful with some very minor teaks.

    Firstly the new style reports would be a good start for replacement but what would be even better then this is the ability to amend the hotlink reports for clients either on a by client or practise level... i.e. if we had the ability to link in customised reports instead of just having the transaction report linked in - I know…

  18. In XERO as at today when you set up a salary sacrificed arrangement, the amount being sacrificed by the employee will be added onto the employer's contribution and appear under the employer's field for reporting purposes.

    But when you need to submit the pension report to the pension provider portal you will need to separate employee and employer contribution. It will be much easier to download the report, at least from the pension filings option, that shows all the breakdown of all information as it needs to be so it can just be uploaded in the pension provider portal without…

  19. When preparing personal tax return on Xero, I accidentally edited the field "Your spouse's assessable income" in Spouse tab and now it's labeled as "edited"

    It could be great if I can undo the 'edit' so the field can automatically generate data from spouse's return like how it was

  20. I want to restore an archived client in Xero HQ and can change the list from Practice Clients to Archived but when I enter the client name in the search box it returns only practice clients.

    It appears the only way to find the client to restore it is to go the bottom of the archived clients list and click on "Show more clients" repeatedly until the client shows - quite a laborious process if the client is towards the end of the alphabet!
