  1. It would be important to be able to edit the payment option available for a specific contact. Example: I have an international client that I would prefer if they did not get the option to pay their invoices with credit card. That would be useful to edit this within their contact settings so I don't have to manually change each of their invoices.

    Hey Fanie, thanks for your engagement and for sharing this excellent idea for managing customer payment options.

    We've reviewed your suggestion to be able to set specific payment options within a contact's settings, and it's now open to gain support from other community members. We can definitely see how this would save time by removing the need to manually edit each invoice for certain clients, like your international customer example.

  4. Option to add a bit more detail if needed for a supplier (bank account and email) for the ease of then must marking straight away in Xero for payment.

    Hey, just a quick update on this. We've reviewed this idea and now it's up to the community to get behind and support it.

    Make sure you share your idea with anyone that this could benefit so they can add their votes and comments about how this could also improve their experience with Hubdoc and Xero.

    In the meantime, you could update the supplier with their email and bank details in the Contacts screen.

  5. The Chart of Accounts interface within the client's Xero organisation displays a limitation of 200 accounts per page. This necessitates frequent clicks of the 'Next' button, which can be inefficient. It is believed that the Xero Product Team could enhance this feature to allow the display of an unlimited number of accounts on a single page, mirroring the functionality currently available in the Chart of Accounts template within Xero HQ.

    Thanks for sharing in the community here. While we appreciate there are some organisation's that have a large number of accounts, the current 200 limit per page is sufficient for majority of organisations to see their full list of accounts and we don't have plans for extending this.

  6. The option to filter the reports by tax returns that have been lodged as Final in a certain tax year would be beneficial.
    We could then cross check and archive clients as necessary.
    There are so many fields to choose from in the Fields and Criteria, but this is not one of them.
    It would save us from having to keep a manual list as some can get missed this way.

    We're grateful for your engagement and for this very specific and useful suggestion for reporting in Xero Practice Manager.

    We've reviewed your idea to be able to filter reports by tax returns that have been lodged as 'Final' for a specific year, and it's now open to gain support from other community members. We can definitely see how this filter would streamline end-of-year processes and remove the need to keep manual lists for cross-checking and archiving clients.

  7. There should be a comparative report available for New Zealand tax returns. This already exists for Australian tax returns. It is an excellent feature that really assists with preparing returns and avoiding missing details from prior years. I would love to see this feature available for New Zealand tax returns. We agree that having a feature like this, similar to what's available for Australian tax returns, would be a fantastic tool to help ensure accuracy and streamline the preparation of returns.

  8. When using the field [Client] Group(s) as a criteria in step 3 of report builder, you can only specify the relevant client group name in the text field. There's currently no functionality for a drop down list of client groups to select from similar to the clients field. Requesting this as an option

  9. I have a client who holds 4 rental properties all of which had significant differences from the previous year creating a large increase in tax payable. They have asked for an explanation, and it would be more efficient and easier for them to understand, if the comparatives could be on the same report as the current years figures so they were only looking at 1 piece of paper for each property. You can see the 2 years information on the screen but it would be preferable for some meetings to be able to have a hard copy. Thanks

Due to issues with staff editing recurring jobs but not updating the job name and/or description I would like to see the staff permissions for recurring jobs amended to have a dropdown list so we can limit staff access to editing recurring jobs but leave access to view, create and delete in the same way as with clients.

    Hi Christine, just making sure I understand what you'd like to see here. Would this be to sort all organisations you have access to from your My Xero page ordered by the # of unreconciled items ?

  12. Ability to export an invoice created in Xero business edition to a document pack.

    For example, if I prepare a BAS or tax return for a client and send it to them in a document pack along with my invoice, I have to export the invoice from Xero and save it, and then add it to the document pack.

    It would be beneficial if there was an option in the invoice screen to add the invoice to a document pack, similar to adding a completed tax return from Xero Tax to a document pack.

  13. To be able to view a list of documents that have "not" been published to Google Drive or DropBox. With the ability to filter and bulk publish would be a really useful feature to have

  14. jobs -- can u make all row more compact - can u make columns more compact or allow user to narrow or widen column size - can u also allow job number column select Yes/No at column selection option - can u allow job report to export to excel/pdf - there are many external application having much better jobs management features - can u take some info from there ???

  15. Why can’t we simplify the process of submitting and reconciling remittances from suppliers using a "receive money transaction" in Xero? Currently, when we receive a remittance through Hubdoc, we must manually change it to 'receipt' before submitting it. This creates an invoice draft in Xero, which we end up deleting as it serves no purpose, leaving the remittance stuck in Hubdoc. This process is inefficient and doesn’t make sense. We want to phase out Hubdoc, but it's currently the only place where we can store remittances. Ideally, Hubdoc should communicate directly with Xero, identifying the file as a remittance for…

    Thanks for sharing your idea here, Kelly. We don't have any plans for adding the ability to receipt remittances from Hubdoc to Xero in the short term, but we'll gauge the interest from the community in this, here.

  16. Would it be possible to have a report that shows the bank transactions and the bill/invoices that it was reconciled with? It's time consuming to check transactions one by one just to find a transaction that was incorrectly reconciled. Please see below example for your reference.

  17. Partner Status - recently we handed over some Xero subscriptions to our clients to pay directly. Instead of gaining extra points for our Xero status, our points have gone down. I'd like to be able to see under each partner points section a dropdown menu of the client names and points per client. This will also help me keep on top of our Xero recharges in case a client moves from one tier to another.

  19. Keep the Xero Classic Look everyone preferred.

    The design of the Job Manager page is sadly reminiscent of an excel spreadsheet.

    One of the enjoyments of the Xero software compared to its competitors are the fresh, clean pages that make it inviting to use. The Job Manager board is missing the 'attractiveness' that has been part of Xero's signature branding.

    Specifically black text, flat checkboxes, grey cell borders and grey column headers makes it feel like an outdated 1990s program.

  20. It would really make my life easier if you could please allow the [Month] [Year] option to label on the task for recurring jobs. This would allow us to see in blue Xero the label of the task namely month and year when invoicing our clients. This would be really helpful when identify numerous jobs and tasks for the same client as the job name does not appear on the invoice in blue Xero. Also, with using the [Month] feature, it would roll over in the next recurring job on its own.
