Hubdoc - Allocate to any bank account
Please make it possible to allocate expenses to any bank account while in hubdoc. That way a lot of time is saved when reconciling transactions to the bank account.

Attach files to published reports
It'd be good to have the ability to attach files to published reports as sometimes there is a lot of work done in the background or information received externally that supports how you came to the end result. Especially for bank recs.

IR10 Report Code Description
Within the report code descriptions, identifying which IR10 Key Point for NZ tax the report code will feed through to.
E.g.
Non-deductible entertainment will go to "Box/Key Point 24 - Other Expenses" and "Box 28 Tax Adjustments"This will give a little bit more visibility as to where each item will end up, particularly for the balance sheet.
If you can segregate this visibility to NZ only files as well, that would be beneficial for other countries not getting information not relevant for them.

It would be very useful to be able to search bank rules for an account code, since account codes cannot be archived/deleted if there is an associated bank rule. I eventually found the relevant bank rule but it was very time consuming to go through each bank rule individually - there can be hundreds of bank rules.

We are a booking agent and collect revenue less costs from venues , I currently use sales invoice to record sales(settlement) and enter costs as a negative amount that are an expense in my project, Project treats the deductions as a reduction in income not an expense, can this be fixed?

NZ GST - Export file to include "GST Return" in naming convention
The new modernised GST returns in Xero no longer export the report name in the exported file name. The document only has the client name and date, not the report type anymore. Should say "XXXX Ltd 30 11 2024 GST Return", whereas it currently only says XXXX Ltd 30 11 2024". Inefficient to have to manually add the words "GST Return" for each report produced in Blue Xero when sending multiple documents to clients. Is there a way to get it back? NZ Tax - Submit a Tax Return Amendment
Similarly to iFirm, would be great to be able to make amendments to the return in Xero, mark it as an amendment, and then file from Xero rather than having to make the amendment in MyIR, then make the same amendment to the already filed tax return in Xero. Makes it harder to keep track of what has been done.

Report Notes are out of alignment or missing entirely from PDF.
It would be great is the 'report notes' were in alignment on the PDF like they are in Xero.
Or if they showed up at all.
We spend ages on analysis of the reports (answering questions before they are asked) and then the notes at the bottom of the page don't math up to anything.2 votes -

When we export draft financials from Xero we have to untick the option for decimals places to be removed in individual report which is time consuming.
We would like the Xero team to provide an option that is available to exclude decimals when we export the reports as styled PDF, so that this option gets applied to all the reports while we are exporting only for the reports that are included under the financial reporting bundle.
See attached the screenshot where we would like this option.
We hope this is doable and Xero product team would come up with this.

bank account number format
When you try to add a new bank account to a contact, Xero only accepts numbers and hyphens in the field. Spaces are not accepted.
All invoices issued by Xero have the issuer's bank account on the invoice formatted with separating spaces between the number blocks.
So when entering a new contact, I can't just copy-paste the bank account number from the invoice that was created by Xero because the format of such number doesn't comply with the formatting in Xero contact section. Every time it has to be manually edited by all the thousands of Xero users.

AU Tax - ITR signatory for deceased or incapacitated individuals
Where the individual client title has been changed to "Executor for" or "Representative for" the declarations should also be updated with this information. Currently the declarations still just use the individual name, who may be deceased or unable to sign on their own behalf.

Forward preparation of tax reurns for companies deregistering and deceased estates
There is an inability to prepare and lodge income tax returns for the forward 2025 year for companies and trusts including deceased estates.
In regard to companies deregistering in the 2024/2025 tax year or wanting to deregister in that year, the company cannot do a 2024/25 tax return after deregistration as the ATO will not accept a lodgment after the date of deregistration as it is considered by the ATO to no longer exist. Companies cannot do a 2024/25 tax return before deregistration as Xero do not have this function available.
This functionality needs to be urgently implemented.

Sales Overview Improvement Request: Add "Send Date"
To enhance our efficiency and reduce time spent looking up invoice details, it would be beneficial to add the "Send Date" to the Sales Overview page.
Reason for the Request:
Clients sometimes claim they have not received an invoice and ask when it was sent. Currently, to answer this, we must navigate into each individual invoice and check the history, which is time-consuming.
Our team members occasionally inquire about the send date of invoices as well, and without this information readily visible, they too have to go into the invoice history.

Filter staff client lists by "Org access"
The ability to filter by "Org access" in Xero HQ to show only the Xero files a staff member has access to, and exclude clients they only have Xero HQ Edit rights for.

Practice Manager - Customise report templates
Would be great to be able to customise reports generated through XPM so when generated it pulls through with the company logo, font preference and formatting instead of the generic format OR exporting to CSV and having to edit this every single time.

Checking of Bank Reconcilaition
Would it be possible to have a report that shows the bank transactions and the bill/invoices that it was reconciled with? It's time consuming to check transactions one by one just to find a transaction that was incorrectly reconciled. Please see below example for your reference.

You can customise the report to add a Related account column, where you could then run the report to view the bank account and related account each line was coded to. Does this solve your needs?

Partner status - Client detail in points section
Partner Status - recently we handed over some Xero subscriptions to our clients to pay directly. Instead of gaining extra points for our Xero status, our points have gone down. I'd like to be able to see under each partner points section a dropdown menu of the client names and points per client. This will also help me keep on top of our Xero recharges in case a client moves from one tier to another.

Sync unique account number from Xero to XPM.
Account number to be synced to XPM from Xero. This unique account number/code is very useful and would be great to be automatically synced. Further, if, just like in Xero, it is a set field in XPM that notifies you when you are duplicating a code that has already been used for another client.

More Check Printing Options
Have the option to print checks by First Name, Last Name or the other way around rather than according to how contacts are put in. For the contact list, people like LName, FName. For check printing, people prefer FName, LName. I know you can go in and manually override it, but it would be nice to have an automatic selection of how you prefer it.

Reports Auto Organize Chart of Accounts
Problem: When you add a new account to your COA or if your COA gets out of sort, you have to edit every P & L report.
Wish: To be able to edit once on the COA and have it automatically update all of the P & L reports based on how the COA is set up.2 votes
