  2. Is it possible to add a few extra columns to XPM - All jobs board rather than creating different reports or clicking on different jobs/pages to collate basic client information. I would like to add the following columns to assist with Trusts and Superfunds.

    -Trustee/Company Name
    -Invoice Number

    Currently, if you invoice a Trust e.g. ABC Family Trust for XYZ Pty Ltd (Trustee), I would like to see both entities in Jobs board and not just ABC Family Trust. This comes in handy when chasing payments or matching jobs as a result in separate jobs linked to a Trust or…

  3. allow quantities to be added direclty to the ledger and then to feed into reporting templates. manualy entered reporting data is fraught with danger and history is lost from year to year, which means we are replugging data every year...current "semi-automated" practice doesnt seem to fit with xero ethos

  4. Hi,
    In tax returns for clients that have a business schedule in their ITR, when an asset is fully depreciated, in the following year it disappears from the tax return and depreciation schedule altogether.

    Is there a way assets can remain on the depreciation schedule? It is very handy to have a full depreciation schedule for all assets, particularly if clients sell assets in the following years.

  6. It would be great to see the tax refund/payable next to the tax return in the client view, tax returns tab, saves opening up the tax form. Would also be good to see the assigned staff member in the jobs tab in client view, saves clicking into job.

While our team will continue to review this idea, Xero Tax remains a Partner only product with tools and capabilities that help Xero Partners serve their clients with ease, and we don't have immediate intentions of changing this.   8. Xero HQ Should have functionality to generate Ledger, profit and loss account and balance sheet for all the clients in one go under sitting under practice. This will help to understand clients business performance etc and will make peer comparison easier.

  9. Hello,

    I would like for Xero to automatically calculate the VAT returns accurately when switching from a VAT scheme to another. Currently, we need to manually adjust the returns to avoid any duplications caused by the transition. There is room for a lot of human error when doing this and I believe this feature is extremely important.

  10. Sync all data to Xero HQ.

    We have been moved over to single client record and need notes and custom fields to be synced as well please.

    This would prevent the need to manually update client records and prevent risk of out of date data.

    Thanks for contributing to this idea, everyone. As part of the single client record we've recently made a change so now when you record a client note in Xero HQ or Xero Practice Manager each system are now reflected in the other.

    We appreciate there is a second part of the idea here surrounding custom fields. Custom fields are being developed with current work the team have underway, and eventually you'll be able to see custom fields reflected in both systems (Xero HQ and XPM), too. We'll keep you updated of further news for this here. 

  11. When using Xero tax for sole trader self assessments, and importing the Xero sole trader accounts, it would be so useful to generate reports that don't include the balance sheet, i.e. it would be better if one could edit the reports according to an individual requirements/reporting needs.

    Hi everyone, thanks for your interest in this idea. Although we haven't enabled the option to exclude a balance sheet from sole trader accounts within Xero HQ we wanted to share this very exciting update with you. We recently released a direct import of the P&L from Xero onto the self-employment worksheet within Personal Tax, without the need to map the account codes and generate a set of sole trader accounts.

    Previously we only supported an import from Sole Trader Accounts to Personal Tax which for some of our partners involved an extra step, particularly for smaller clients who typically only receive Income & Expenditure accounts. We hope by adding this functionality that you will be able to maximise the more flexible reporting capabilities within Xero to produce accounts for sole traders.   12. Ask Queries - Automated reminders
    The ability to have automated reminders on Ask queries would save substantial time (and reduce likelihood of things getting forgotten) and reduce likelihood of having to go to an alternative paid app in order to get this functionality (eg ContentSnare)

  13. Expose the staff billable rate on the XPM API?

    The billable rate for staff timesheets/tasks aren't available for jobs until they are invoiced, and there's no way for integrations with XPM to understand the in-progress cost of a job without getting the staff billable rate... or if there's an override on the job.

  14. While mapping accounts today, I discovered that you can map ALL GIFI codes, even those that are calculated in Taxcycle. This causes an issue when you import, as the calculated lines don't import and just disappear.

    Perhaps talk to the people in Taxcycle to update the filter/list to exclude calculated GIFIs.

  15. When a tax payment date falls on a weekend and a payment is then made on the Monday it incorrectly applies the payment to the next provisional instalment date in the Provisional Tax tab in the clients Tax Statements area. Can this be fixed?

  16. There could be many possible things to be able to track in there, but I would like to be able to:

    Limit the 'states' shown to things I am directly involved with like 'For review' and 'For Invoicing'.

    My secretary would want to see states that apply to her like 'to sign'.

    Only show 'Priority level' High and Urgent (with the flick of a keystroke)

    Possibly allow some of the functionality in the 'jobs' tab or the report builder to be 'saved' in the dashboard screen like mini tables that update real time?

  18. Some sort of link for each partner so we can have clients sign up with us directly from our website. Alot of my clients sign up for all my services from a link on a website. This would be very beneficial in my opinion. See this one for example with zoho books.

  19. How can I make the client and detail columns wider. It is very restrictive as I cant fully see the client code and description. I know this is a Xero development issue but it would help a lot. It is really convenient to bill from this screen. Also I arrange the clients alphabetically, and when going into a client and see what to bill, when i go back to the WIP list it defaults back to sorting by value.

  20. I reckon Xero HQ - client group is an excellent avenue for sending bulk information, or request information, however, apparently when generate a new Bulk Query for the group, it's becoming difficult to allocate the particular group. the XPM group information sync with Xero HQ, in our instance, there are over 350 groups, and the search function for the group, appears is not working.
