  1. Two ideas:

    1) Need Bookkeeper and Senior assigned

    At the moment, there are only 3 levels "Assigned" "Manager" & "Partner"

    On bigger jobs you may have 4 or 5 people involved, which is not possible. Please can you add some more levels eg Bookkeeper, "Senior" or whatever you want, (a custom field would be even better!). Maybe remove the word "Assigned" as it is too vague. (eg what is your job? Answer: I generally get assigned)

    2) Senior to to Approve

    Following on from (1) it would be good to have an option at least for the "Senior" to approve…

  2. When preparing the second and subsequent years filings in xero tax for accounts and taxation, bring forward the settings, notes, tagging, engagement letter dates into the next year to save re-entering it all again

  3. Currently XPM does not send automatic birthday messages to clients. It is a very manual process.
    It would be great if birthday messages are sent automatically out of XPM.

  4. Include Tax Return Status in the Filters on the Tax Payments Screen.
    This would mean we can bulk select $0 payments to ignore.

  5. Ability to use Biometrics when Logging into Hubdoc app. It's great to add receipts and invoices on the go using the Hubdoc app, but manually typing in the credentials to log in slows down the process. It would be great if you could use the phone's facial recognition or fingerprint to quickly log in.

  6. Xero Tax UK. Please could you add in the option for estimated figures as well as provisional figures as they are not the same thing!

    There is a distinction between estimated figures and provisional figures on a UK SA tax return. Currently, Xero UK SA Tax only has the option for provisional figures which means that you will come back and revisit the tax return.

    We also need the option for estimated figures which are your best and final estimate so no intention to revisit the software. Other UK tax software has this!

    Thanks for raising this, Penny. We've checked the SA100 and can see that there's only a box for stating that provisional figures have been used and this is why we only included this box.

    It'd be great to understand your expectations on what a separate estimates box would do and what you have experienced in the other software you reference. Is this for an internal note, a note to HMRC or does it create a note on the report to the client? Thanks

    Hi everyone, returning to update you on progress we'll now move this to working on it 😊

    We're currently doing work that'll make credentials saved for personal tax available in the app, as well as moving this tool into a shared area in Xero HQ, where you can save government gateway ids for filing with HMRC for company, personal and partnership tax.

  8. After the recent XPM change where a user can allocate staff to multiple jobs from the Jobs menu, the staff at the Task level are added but the checkbox is not ticked. This means that the staff member can see the job in their timesheet, but not the tasks associated with that job, so cannot book time.

    Support have advised they are aware this has changed and do not have a solution to get around this currently, other than manually going into each job and filling the tick box for each staff member for each task. As we create and…

  9. It would be ideal if the "Write On Amount" fields in WIP Ledger reporting within XPM are made available in the API. We leverage multiple systems that need to tack together a formula to measure write offs using the available fields in the API, or cannot include Write On information, so is often inaccurate.

  11. In the last week the ability to add multiple tasks to new employees has been taken away, you can still add all jobs but without the ability to add all tasks or some as well that feature is now useless.

    please can you tell me why this has been removed and bring it back asap. I have staff unable to complete time sheets at the moment.

  12. Export/Import Xero Network Keys for clients (from Xero HQ) in order to be able to import into company Xero.

    So that our invoices can also be sent directly to the clients Xero, so saves time on bookkeeping.

  13. The current sync of "clients" from XPM to "contacts" of the practice Xero Blue file only updates when an invoice is sent across.

    Surely this could be made into an immediate sync, or at the very least an overnight sync?

    Given XPM doesn't integrate with a whole lot of software and doesn't integrate with Zapier, many add-ons practices use are linked with the Xero Blue file and require that data to be accurate. Debtor collection software for example, marketing software, etc, all require contact details to be accurate, and if clients change details, there can be a large delay before…

    Appreciate your feedback on the idea here. As a grounds to start from we thought it would help to confirm;

    • There is a two way sync of your clients between Practice Manager and your practice Xero organisation Contacts
    • The sync between XPM and your practice Xero organisation contacts is different - we’ve explained this more below


    Differences between Xero Practice Manager(XPM) and your practice Xero organisation sync

    • Client will sync with your organisation’s Contacts depending on your Xero connection setup - more on Xero Central
      • This is controlled by users with the Administrator role and can be set to ‘Never’, ‘Only when uploading invoices’ or ‘Every time client or supplier details are updated’
  14. I would like to see on the front sheet of the VAT report a Summary break-down by VAT code showing Total, Net and VAT by each VAT category.

  16. I wanted to put a suggestion that when hubdoc is getting the totals, that they get the correct total and maybe even a prompt when it is unsure of the subtotal and total. I have had a few issues come up where hubdoc is bringing in the incorrect total.

  19. Improve the look of the client signatures on document packs. Particularly with the financial statements, it includes a date and a name but this already is present on the document.

    If we could have different elements for name, signature and date that would make it look clearer.
