XPH | Jobs - Add contrast to the new job creation design
The new beta job creation doesn't do anything the old one didn't do, everything is just either bigger or surrounded by more white space so there's less information on screen at once. It feels great on a touchscreen on an iPad, but I would assume most users are on a desktop where the experience is now just worse.
Thanks for your feedback on the new layout of Jobs, Chris! It's really good to hear how this is landing with beta participants and where you see we could further improve this for you.

Second this. Having more white space makes it feel modern, but it also makes life harder. I am having to scroll a lot more with the new updates, which is making simple tasks take longer.
When adding or editing a job, the Description box is quite small on default and has to be expanded so you can see what you are writing. It made more sense to have this box be larger by default to see the majority of what is written.
There is also an inconsistency on font size, which is making reading the page less intuitive. Having the staff names under schedule information in such a small font is hard to read compared to the larger font of everything else.
Additionally, having the print job and edit job buttons in the top right of the screen in a small grey button makes it harder to find compared to the original XPM. This is something that should have stayed central to the job, not banished to a corner in smaller font.

Can't agree more and the inconsistency between screens is dreadful! Feels like devs doing things to prove they're doing thing and also they're falling into the "unforeseen consequences" trap. Change this because it's whizzy and not reallising it messes up something else!

large text = more scrolling = time wasted
