Customisable graph/table colours would be excellent, even if it were just 2 or 3 preset options. The blue/red default is a bit harsh.

XPH - Add a "WIP Value ($)" column to the Jobs list
Can a column be added to see the WIP value in $dollars rather than a percent, this makes it a lot clearer to see time spent on a job.

It sounds like being able to see the dollar value of Work in Progress (WIP) directly within the Jobs list would give much better visibility over workload and billing readiness. Having unbilled time and costs displayed at a glance, without needing to open each job or run a separate report, would make it easier to quickly spot what’s ready to invoice.
I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and help our product teams understand how adding a WIP value column could support a smoother billing workflow and clearer visibility across jobs.

XPM: Practice - Timesheets: Enter Timesheet: Improved date defaulting and navigation when editing entries
When entering a Timesheet, the date keeps defaulting to the first day of the week (Monday) in the timesheet. Even when manually changing the date, at times if the window is left idle for too long it defaults back to the Monday again causing problems with times for each day if you don't notice it has changed. Then when you identify the entry that is incorrect if you drill into it from the timesheet to correct it, it doesn't return you back to the Enter Timesheet window, it returns you to the Job. We hear you that things like the date resetting to Monday can disrupt your efficiency.

Partner Hub - Job summary filter
Would it be possible to have more filter options available in the Job Summary widget? It would be beneficial to be able to filter by job or client.

XPH - Add interactivity and Partner/Manager filters to Activity Statements widget
Activity Statements Widget, it would be able to click on the columns and got to a filtered view of the activity statements. Also it would be good to be able to filter by partner/manager. On of the big issues with auto created BAS/IAS is the is not parter/manager assigned to them if we could get a filter for partner/manager based on the partner/manager set in the client file it would be fantastic.
4 votesHi everyone, it’s helpful to hear that the Activity Statements widget could do more to support quick oversight. Being able to filter by Partner or Manager and click through to those filtered views sounds like it would make it much easier to stay on top of workloads and keep deadlines visible across the practice.
For now, a good option is to run the full Activity Statement report and use the filters there to drill into specific staff portfolios.
I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can keep track of interest and help our product teams see the value of adding more interactivity and staff-level filtering here.

Clients | Jobs - Ability to search
Please add "Search Function" under the client Jobs - same as in the job manager in order to search for specific "current" and "archived" jobs, the sort function is not sufficient.

tax manager status
At present the returns move through as Draft/Completed/Approved/To sign/To file tabs.
(1) When I send a return, the To sign tab Signature Status shows as Out Sign. When it comes back in that tab it says Returned; but in the ALL listing it still shows Out to Sign. (a) both should say Out to Sign, and (b) if it has returned, it should say Returned everywhere.
(2) In the To Sign tab it shows both returns that are Out to Sign and Returned. Use of Timer for Timesheet Entry
The Timer doesn't allow you to scroll to the bottom to see the next time entry unless you are on the home page.

When editing jobs if you click on cancel rather than save. It does not bring you back to the job you are editing, it brings you to the full jobs list. It should bring you back to that job.

Xero Partner Hub | Homepage - Add in a Work in Progress Widget
Next to monitoring Debtors, Work In Progress is one of the most important areas of a Practice to monitor. If this figure is not not regularly evaluated, then Cash Flow is directly affected, which will be of concern particularly over the next 2 years.
Again this is directly tied in with Client Jobs and their various DeadlinesAlso I have seen quite a number of Practices sold, with a large WIP that should have been completed and converted into Debtors.

JOBS - If you create a new job it would be nice to have the option to select recurring or normal.
Currently if you click on the short cut on the Home Page to create a new job, there is no option to create a recurring or normal job, it defaults to normal. You have to go to jobs and then have to go to recurring.

XPM - Increase spacing or relocate the "Discard" button in Timesheets to prevent accidental clicks
When you save a timesheet entry as draft, then next option of discard or save is very close together so if you don't move your cursor to the right to click on save you may inadvertently discard the timesheet entry. I think the discard option needs to be moved somewhere else.

Add a counter to the Documents tab
Please add a counter to the Documents tab in the Client window, same as the counter for Jobs, Quotes, Invoices and Notes. A counter appears only when you have opened the Documents tab.
