  1. Can you please get rid of that annoying image that appears when I'm typing in a new contact on a sales invoice. As I'm typing the image is flashing away on each keystroke and giving me a headache!

    Thanks for sharing your idea Jeanette! Appreciate that the contact suggestion popping up at each keystroke can be difficult to navigate and confusing.   2. The clients that I provide services to seek as supporting documentation a timesheet that has been signed off by an authorised representative of the client. At the moment I use an excel spreadsheet to do this then manually generate an invoice on the total agreed hours. It woud awesome to have feature where you prepare a timesheet in xero, xero sends a link to the approver to sign the timesheet then xero pulls the hours into a invoice + any agreed expenses (with supporting invoices and signed off timesheet)

  3. When using the "Add Payment" button on an Invoice, I am regularly confused because the Banks are not in the same sort order I've assigned on the Dashboard / Bank Accounts Page.

    This sort order is already applied to the "New Spend Money" page. So really it would be ideal if it matched platform-wide

    This is complicated for me since Stripe requires a new account for each platform.

    Hopefully the attached screenshot makes the request / issue clearer.

    Hi Sandy thanks for raising this with us. This is a great idea , to unify the account order across the platform. We'll move this idea so it gains more support from the community.   4. To Be able to use the products and services multi select buttons to create a quote or invoice.

    Example.

    Go into products and services
    Select all products needed via the tick boxes.
    Click the 3 dots in the top right of screen.
    Have option to add all selected items to quote or to invoice.
    Continue normal quote/invoice process from there.

    This will then speed up the process if companies (like ours) that have similar product codes but in different sizes that are bought together or that go out with other products.

  5. With the changes and improvements to the design of the Purchases overview > Bills page and tabs quite some time ago, it would be expected and easier to navigate through Xero if these design changes reflected in the Sales overview > Invoices page. The invoices page (despite the new invoicing experience when opening an invoice) is still the old outdated design that the Bills used to look like.

  6. For an Italian company. In order to send invoices to Italian clients, legally they MUST be sent through the Sistema di Interscambio (SDI), a government portal. Which helps prevent fraud and reduces tax evasion and increases visibility.
    The e-invoicing is a specific format and Xero currently doesn't support.

  7. Currently, when you raise an invoice in a foreign currency it will take the exchange rate as of that hour. If you later change the due date of the invoice, the exchange rate used to convert will change from the hour you raised the invoice, to the closing exchange rate on that day. This causes an issue for reporting where we have reported a revenue figure for a previous month. The invoice on a due date has been changed and therefore the revenue recognised in a previous month has changed. This makes our reports incorrect and could cause issues if…

  8. In addition to the existing quote tabs, add an On Hold status. It does not need a separate tab. The quote can stay on the Sent page with a clear visual indicator like a dot, icon, or color tag showing it is on hold. This would cover quotes that are not ready to proceed or are conditionally approved but not fully approved, without marking them as accepted. Although the notes section is quite handy, I believe having some sort of visual impact will increase the users' efficiency. :)

  10. Why are the subscription invoices we receive from Xero now being issued with a $0 balance? We are having to manually edit or delete the pre‑populated payment line in order to reconcile the actual payment against the invoice. The pre‑paid negative line is unnecessary and creates avoidable double handling.
    The same issue is occurring with client invoices where credits or overpayments exist. Xero has started adding a pre‑paid negative line to these invoices when they are sent. This process is impractical and will create further problems, as clients will not apply overpayments themselves. This results in additional corrective work for…

  11. Allow users to enable additional, custom reference fields.

    Please add the ability to enable additional, custom reference fields on sales invoices via the 'Edit Branding Theme' screen, to support business in the motor industry.

    These fields would allow invoice issuers to record vehicle specific details such as:
    - Make / Model
    - Registration
    - Colour or Mileage

    Currently Xero invoice only support a single entry reference field, and so users at present must rely on line descriptions or notes, which are inconsistent, unclear for customers, and increase queries and disputes. Competing software such as Quickbooks already support these additional invoice…

    Hi Choonke thanks for raising this here. We understand the need for having Sales person's fields both on the invoice itself as well as the custom template. We have opened this idea up for the community so they can add their votes and comments on this idea. In the meantime, we'll monitor this space for more traction.

  13. On the "Send Statements" page...

    The address is not needed as the customer can be identified by their name or account number, and 99.9% of statements are now emailed anyway. Removing this would allow space for the two pieces of information that are necessary when individually chasing overdue payaments, plus one extra useful number... The date of the invoice, the date payment was/is due, and the number of days overdue.

    This could then be easily referenced when personalising the pop-up email box .... e.g. Your payment was due 30/11 and is now 35 days overdue. Please make the payment as…

    Hi Roger, thanks for the feedback on this idea. it’s clear that seeing the number of days overdue directly on the Send Statements screen would make it easier to prioritise follow-ups without interrupting your workflow.

    At the moment, the Date and Due Date of each outstanding invoice are already displayed on the Send Statement screen, but having the actual days overdue visible would give immediate context and help you act faster when sending statements.

    We have now move this idea to Gaining Support, which means it’s open for votes and comments. Hearing from the community will help our product teams understand how much value this visibility would add across different workflows.

    Hi Mark, it’s clear that being able to move between different transaction lists more easily would make workflows smoother, especially when you’re juggling multiple parts of the business—like checking a quote one moment and verifying a bill the next.

    At the moment, switching between Invoices, Bills, and other areas often means going back to the main list, which adds extra clicks and interrupts your flow.

    As a workaround for now, you can right-click on Invoices or Bills in the Business menu and select Open link in new tab. This lets you keep multiple screens open at once and toggle between them without losing your place.

    This idea has been moved to Gaining Support so we can track interest in a built-in quick-switch feature.

  15. Stripe allows you to turn on/off additional services like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link by Stripe. However, these controls are DISABLED when integrating with Xero, which creates a problem. We moved invoicing to Xero specifically because it allows you to dynamically add a surcharge for credit card payments -- but, by automatically adding Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link, you're allowing payers to bypass the surcharges! You should re-enable those controls through Stripe, allowing users to CHOOSE whether or not they want to use those payment services.

    I can see how the inability to toggle specific digital wallets like Apple Pay or Google Pay creates an issue when you are trying to manage surcharges effectively.


    Since there isn't currently a way to disable these specifically within the Xero-Stripe settings while keeping standard credit card payments active, I’ve moved this to 'Gaining Support' to see how many other users are impacted by this.

  17. I would like the ability to edit inventory item costs directly from the quote page, similar to the option available on the invoice page. I don't mean the price on the quote itself, I mean the cost in the inventory. This would save me a lot of time.

  18. We would like the ability to preview the Credit Note BEFORE saving it as a Draft.

    Currently, the only option to preview a Credit Note is to save it as a Draft and then use the "Print PDF" option to open a preview.

    Instead, we would like an option where we're able to view a preview when creating the Credit Note.

    Purpose: To be review the Credit Note for mistakes before officially saving it.

  19. On the awaiting approval invoice page can we get more details for each customer, like any overdue amount and any credit they have in their account. Currently you cannot apply a credit unless you open the invoice. This will save time and errors.

  20. To have a way to easily detect which clients need individual e-invoice in invoici, e.g., there are Tax number in Xero,
    so that we can easily select those clients who need individual e-invoice and send to Inland Revenue in Malaysia.
