    The drop down for adding a new customer at invoice does not have any fields for adding the customer the contact. Why

  2. Can we have an option to print to pdf statements in landscape as well as portrait?
    for example the screen in xero when I look at the statement shows the invoice reference in full but when you download this to PDF the reference gets shortened. This is an issue when the reference is a PO number and then you don't see all the PO number on the PDF version, for some customers they will not accept the PDF statement because of this

  3. Massive oversight by Xero.
    E-Invoicing only available to VAT registered companies as you have to enter a VAT number. What about all the non-registered companies?
    Why can't you select that you aren't VAT registered and be able to benefit by E-Invoicing?

    Hi everyone, we appreciate interest from non-VAT registered businesses that'd like to make use of the efficiencies eInvoicing brings.

    As the UK do not have a standard business number, this creates complexity in being able to identify and register non-VAT registered businesses on the Peppol network.

    While this is an idea that we'd like to continue to gain interest from our community in, we want to be upfront we don't have any plans to support eInvoicing for non-VAT registered businesses in the near term.

    We're actively advocating for this with the UK Government as part of their recent e-Invoicing consultation.

  5. Stop "Mark as sent" pop-up for every invoice. When making multiple new invoices, this pop-up occurs for each invoice made, no matter if reminders are turned off. This is new, started April 2024, and XERO support states there is no way to turn this off.

  6. It would be better is the invoice reference could allow for input of longer names, without scrolling, so it's all on one line on the invoice.
    Currently, the invoice number character length and the invoice reference character length are the same, which seems odd, as usually the invoice number is just a few characters, but the invoice reference can be long (project name, case name etc)

  7. Hi there, it would be great if we were able to edit the due dates of invoices that were created in a now locked period, our business (and I'm sure many others) have invoices with due dates that often change.

    We do not need to change anything other than the invoice due dates so if this could be added even as an optional feature for a locked period that would be very useful.

  8. It would be great if you could use placeholders in item and in the general text of an invoice. I know this feature is available in recurring invoices but would be great if we could add to all invoices.

  9. The ability to mark customers to exclude from sending statements, or add more filters ( including customer groups) in statements page, which will help to find correct group of clients to send statements. This will simplify collections process.

    Thanks for the engagement with this idea, everyone. This isn't possible atm however just to provide some options of being able to add a gratuity or tip to an existing invoice.

    You could have a inventory item set up for this. When a customer provides you a tip you would then edit the invoice and add this item, entering quantity as 1 and tip amount as the unit price. This way you could have the account and tax rate auto entered.

    Appreciate this may not suit all circumstance, but hopefully helps some here.

    We don't have any current plans for this but will update you if there's any news.

  11. QR Code on Invoice that goes to same web location as the 'View your Bill Online' link on Invoices.

    Currently, a Xero Invoice can have a link displayed for easy/direct payment by customer.

    I would like to see the option to include a QR Code, embeded within the EMAIL sent to customers, and on the PDF attached to the Email, that translates to the same link, allowing for easy payment of printed invoices at time of delivery.

    Great for 1st time customers, Pay on Delivery or COD customers.

  12. Requested that Xero pull the project names to put on invoices. The information is already entered, would be a big time saver to auto-populated to project name on an invoice rather than manually typing it in

  13. Currently we can send invoices using eInvoicing through the PEPPOL network, however we can't send credit notes for any changes to these invoices. It would be good if credit notes (or at least negative invoices) would be enabled in Xero so any invoice changes could also be sent through the eInvoice system.

  14. The 'new invoicing' option automatically removes any leading carriage returns and leading spaces in the invoice description field.
    This did not occur in the classic version and wonder why it was introduced.
    To enable the details of the invoice to be easily read, it is sometimes necessary to separate line items on the invoice and to indent the actual description.
    Can this 'feature' be removed?

  15. When entering invoices and the account is always "sales" (for example), I would like the option to set up invoices to automatically use the "sales" account? It is currently only an option by setting up item codes and/or setting up through contacts. I would like to see it automatically assign the account at the time of entering the invoice, instead of having to type in an item code. It will save so much more time and avoid errors by users selecting an incorrect account from the chart of accounts.

  16. Create a accept quote button/link within the quote email template so clients can hit the button within their email client to accept quotes instead of having to view it online or missing it within the attached PDF quote.

  17. This column is useful but could be improved.

    As already noted in another existing idea, it would be good if there was a way to indicate whether the discount is per-item or for the line. As it stands, if there is a count, then to emulate a dollar discount on each item, we have to manually calculate the total discount for the line (number * $ discount) to enter the appropriate line value.

    The percentage discount option is good also (as it avoids the above problem with specifying an absolute amount). However, it has a different problem in that the…

  18. I have used both the old & new GoCardless/Xero integrations. I thought the old one was great from an automation perspective if you were able to automate contact creation and this would automatically match the direct debit with the contact.

    Unfortunately, the new integration is quite restricted and an auto-match will only be done if the DD mandate is created directly from an invoice in Xero. This makes things very difficult from a scalability perspective and makes the new GoCardless/Xero integration unworkable.   19. To include invoice link in column fields when exporting invoice details.

    Reason: During times of audit, we will need to extract the invoices and it has to be done 1 by 1.
    With this function made available, we are able to provide the links to the auditors in 1 click of a button.
