I guess that's where https://www.statey.app has come from. I'm currently paying the £8 monthly to send a PDF on 1st to each customer with an outstanding balance.
Still not quite what I need as some customers want a statement even if their balance is £0.
It needs to be inside Xero really so I can set it on a per account basis with some variables like
"Always send (even if balance is £0)"
"Send when there are 30+ day invoices"
"Send when there are 1+ day invoices" -

If everyone using Xero chips in a few $ im sure we could just pay some IT guy wanting to start a business to create a new software package for the people by the people.. Start listening to your customers Xero.. One day it will be too late.

This would be great function because not everyone wants a statement but particular clients who are always late in paying - they would benefit from having one sent automatically at the end of each month.

This is such a business-critical item, along with sending statements and invoices to different email accounts. This should have been done long ago.

April 23 Xero response, and yet where we are 20 months on and no movement forwards.
Accounts software should be all about time saving, surely this feature is paramount. If it hasn't got enough votes its because the users are all too busy doing manual statement runs. -

So long overdue it hurts, how can a company sell accounts software without this feature. Surely it would take a good dev team about half an hour to implement this.

being able to chose if statement chasing for overdue instead of per invoice chasing would be extremely helpful! Would be great if we could set up the overdue reminders for statements!!

This is a critical tool that at the moment is a labour intensive monthly task that shouldnt be if it had the same functionality as the set invoice reminders on or off.
This will need to be when you set a new customer up as each individual customer has different requirements including customers that done want to be bothered with reminders.this is really an easy fix and will change Xero users lives giving them more time to concentrate on their businesses !!

It's critical to business cashflow to have reminder statements going out regularly.
With only 5 invoice reminders available, there are no reminders after the last one goes out.
So, out of mind, out of sight! -

Remember in the new development to add the option to send Customer Statements to a selected 'Group' - this should have been developed as a matter of priortiy. So ridiculous that this is not a standard option!

Customer statements, is an area of Xero that needs upgrades to it's technology in order to make ideas like this one here possible.
Maybe time should have been spent on that rather than the new invoicing system.

The system already sends invoice reminders so why not statements?

This would be such a big help, especially for monthly invoicing. What would be great if they can include a balance of account when invoices are sent out.

To add to this - could we send customer statements by group of customers?
Could then designate customers who need a little more "encouragement" then others or different trade terms etc - rather than just sending to all and having to unclick (could easily miss one!)
