Invoicing - Move multiple invoice lines at a time
Move multiply rows in invoice template and insert multiple rows in invoice template
7 votesFurther to our previous update on this request, we'll continue to track the interest for adding multiple lines at once from this idea.
As for this idea, the community can add their votes and comment to share additional detail about how this idea could also improve their experience with Xero.

Exclude Auto Save from History and Notes
Exclude new auto save updates from History and Notes. It made sense to save these when it was manual but now it just clutters the history so badly with every auto save creating a new entry.
12 votesThanks for sharing your feedback with us. Though not a direct solution of what’s being asked here we wanted to share that our product team has been focused on autosave improvements to help reduce lag, and help your invoices load and save faster.
As we continue to develop invoicing in Xero, our team will keep considering how autosave events are displayed in your invoice history. We'll share any future updates on reducing these events or providing more control over what you see, here. Thanks

New invoicing - Keep the send button
On the classic invoicing there is a send button at the top by email, print pdf etc that you can use to send to another xero customer. This feature is no longer on the new invoicing version. It would be good to have the send button back
15 votesHi Samantha, when referring to send would this be the 'Email' button in classic?
If so this is actually still available in new invoicing, you'll find the option in the 3 dot menu at the top of the page 🙂

Invoicing -Group Entities - Cross-Organisational Duplicate Bill Check
We have around 15 different entities as part of our Group, each of them has its own Xero account.
In terms of payables, is there a way for Xero not only to flag (as it already does) any payable invoice that we try to add under an entity where it already exists but, instead, flag it also as a possible duplicate if the same invoice number exists across all entities within our Group?
This would assist in ensuring that a bill is not paid twice as it might be potentially already paid from another entity that is different from the…
2 votesHi Marco, thanks for your idea and for explaining the need to prevent duplicate bills across multiple Xero organisations in your group. Right now, both Xero’s existing duplicate checks and the upcoming improvements to duplicate detection are limited to within a single organisation only. They don’t compare bills or payments across different Xero orgs, even when they’re part of the same group.
This request would require a new way of linking and analysing data across multiple entities, which is not something we’re currently planning. For that reason, this specific idea is not in our pipeline at this time, though we’ll continue to track interest here other users can still vote on this.

Sales - Export invoice totals due
When you export invoices, it gives you multiple lines for any invoice which has more than one line. It is therefore not possible to easily total up the amounts due because some invoices are on there multiple times meaning the values are overstated.
9 votesHi Stewart, is there a way you see the export being more helpful for you. For example would you be looking for a summary of each invoice? The Receivable Summary and Detail reports maybe useful for this sort of view and can be exported.

Stripe autopay - warning when removing payment from invoice with past due date
ISSUE: Payment deletion triggers uncontrolled automatic charges and reminders
When a payment is deleted in Xero (even to correct a reconciliation mistake), it automatically re-triggers both autopay and invoice reminder notifications without any warning or opportunity to prevent it. This created a situation where:
- A bookkeeper deleted a payment to reconcile what appeared to be a duplicate charge in Stripe
- This action caused Xero to mark the invoice as unpaid and automatically re-charge an autopay client through Stripe without ANY notification, which cannot be recalled.
- A second client received an invoice reminder and paid again manually
THE PROBLEM:
There's currently…1 voteAppreciate your feedback and desire for a warning that Stripe auto pay will be triggered if a payment is removed from an invoice with a. past due date, Mandy.
We don't have any immediate plans for changing the behaviour of how this auto payments are triggered when payment services have been applied to an invoice but will start to feel out the interest for this from the community here.
For now we'd recommend checking for any payment services applied to an invoice before a payment is removed. If needed you can toggle off a payment service for the individual invoice before taking actions we have some help on this here just follow the second option for an approved invoice.

Stripe - Invoice Xero user separately for Stripe fees
In an ideal world when a client pays us via Stripe 100% of the fee would be reconciled and XERO/Stripe would invoice us separately on a regular basis for the applicable Stripe fees.
5 votesHi team, thanks for sharing with us here.
Reviewing the idea here, we want to be open that this isn't something we will develop.
This is how Xero/stripe surcharges, and you can set the relevant % surcharge. Once the payment has processed the surcharge amount is paid as part of the payout amount.

Quotes / Invoices - Select which lines to copy to a new transaction
When your quote involves different vendors, it would be nice to have the option to create POs with a click of a button for all the vendors but because you can't specify a vendor for each item then at least let us select the line items. Also very important, any additional information that was added to the description during the quote / invoice process should be carried over to the PO.
7 votesThanks for sharing this idea. This partial-copy feature might be used whenever you need to copy a quote or invoice to another transaction, such as another quote or draft invoice.
We've reviewed this idea and now it's up to the wider community to get behind it.
Please share this idea with any colleagues that this could benefit, so they can add their votes and comments too!

New invoicing - Show amounts with commas
Classic view invoicng compared to the new view invoicing. The new version shows figures entered as 123456789.00 but Classic View correctly shows 123,456,789.00. All figures should be shown in 123,456,789.00 format. It's accounting after all! This is not a suggestion, this should be a bug fix, especially before new invoicing is enforced.

Sales | New Invoice - Only show Customers when entering Contact
When creating a new invoice, the search scope includes every contact in the database, every vendor, evert coffee shop or gas station anyone ever used a credit card at. Xero knows which contacts are Customers (there's a Customer Invoice report), it should pull from Customers only. For the use case where someone is invoicing someone for the first time, they can open that Contact and then click New Invoice.
4 votesAppreciate you sharing your feedback with us here, Rob. Understand how this could help you find the contact you're after if your supplier and customer lists are quite separated.
We'll get a sense of others that would also like to see this from your idea here. If there are any updates we'll let you know.

Stripe Autopay - Allow attempts to re-bill after failed payment
It is common for subscriptions to automatically attempt rebill 3 times, most customers expect this if there is a temporary card issue, it can be communicated with them in the failed payment notification. They shouldn't have to manually setup up the subscription again, especially if using the same card.
Also if a customer is going going ahead with a subscription service, it makes sense that autopay is the default setting on the invoice. There needs to be the ability to disable it if they want to pay by bank transfer for example, but the default should be that their card…
3 votesHi Justin, thanks for your idea here. We noticed you have two ideas in the one post. We've actually found another idea that is similar to the defaulting you mentioned, so I've added your vote to this here.
I've adjusted the idea for the re-billing of Failed payments and we will track support from other users on this here.

Invoice History - Add CC'd Email Addresses for Complete Audit Trail
Ability to cc and bcc when sending emails from xero.
This would be very useful as we have many clients that like to have various other people copied in.

Invoice Template - Setting for Decimal format
Invoices Australia
An update in the last few months bought inconsistency into the invoicing format in terms of the decimal points on the unit pricing. It would be good to be able to define this - to two, three, four decimal points so that there is consistency on the invoices rather than some units at two and some at four decimal points.15 votesWe're grateful for your engagement and letting us know the changes that matter to you.

Invoicing - Option to toggle Apple Pay and Google Pay on Stripe transactions
Stripe allows you to turn on/off additional services like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link by Stripe. However, these controls are DISABLED when integrating with Xero, which creates a problem. We moved invoicing to Xero specifically because it allows you to dynamically add a surcharge for credit card payments -- but, by automatically adding Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link, you're allowing payers to bypass the surcharges! You should re-enable those controls through Stripe, allowing users to CHOOSE whether or not they want to use those payment services.
1 voteHi there, thank you for sharing this idea.
I can see how the inability to toggle specific digital wallets like Apple Pay or Google Pay creates an issue when you are trying to manage surcharges effectively.
Since there isn't currently a way to disable these specifically within the Xero-Stripe settings while keeping standard credit card payments active, I’ve moved this to 'Gaining Support' to see how many other users are impacted by this.

Invoices - Warning for unapplied customer credit when batch approving invoices
Xero does not alert you if a customer has a credit that could be applied during batch approval of invoices.
We batch approve and batch email all our invoices; it it is frustrating that we are sending out invoices without credits being applied.
Surely this would be easy to implement?
3 votesThanks for sharing this idea about how bulk invoice approval could be improved for you.

New Invoicing - 0.00 values appearing in the invoice summary on invoice emails which should not appear
There is system wide error in the back-end template that you use to generate invoice emails. Please refer screen captures attached. You will see that I have two lines in my Invoice 005614 that are text descriptions of services only so are effectively subheadings and have no account code and no "value". They appear correctly in the PDF invoice with a blank in the "Amount NZD" column but they appear incorrectly with a value of "0.00" on the email the customer receives. I'm annoyed at myself that I have never noticed and reported this bug before because it looks these…

Invoicing - Remove 'Powered by Xero' in Footer of emails
Remove 'Powered by Xero' Advertisement on the footer invoice emails (only recently added)
114 votesHi everyone, we wanted to return and give you an update here. As mentioned in our last post - we want to be forth right that we don't have any plans to remove 'Powered by Xero' from emails sent from Xero, with intentional purpose and based on findings from interactions we can see having true benefit to customers in getting paid faster.
That said, we appreciate the feedback we've received and have made changes since this was initially raised to reduce the size of the footer where this is shown and have removed the hyperlink to xero.com. We will continue to develop the invoice email to continue to drive improvements for our customers and the ways you receive payments.

Invoicing - Show attachment option at the top of the page
The button to view attachments was at the top of the page in classic invoicing but is at the bottom in new invoicing. Our sales transactions are imported from our point of sales software via API. Every sales invoice has an attachment and we now have to pointlessly scroll down to the bottom of every invoice before we can view the underlying report. Please put the attachment button back in an accessible place!
