AU Payroll - Select more than one employee when generating payroll reports
ability to select more than one employee when generating payroll reports, not just a single employee or All employees
Hi everyone, thank you for your continued feedback. We appreciate you sharing how important selecting multiple employees is for you when running payroll reports.
The good news is our product team has reviewed this idea and agrees it is a valuable addition to Xero. We have updated the status to Accepted.
This feature is not currently on our immediate development roadmap, however by accepting it we are formally adding it to our backlog for consideration.
We will keep tracking interest here and update you as soon as we have news.

I would find this useful when generating reports for Australian state-based compliance payments like workers' comp & payroll tax. All employees are part of the same group but a couple of them work in a different state which requires separation of their wages costs to calculate the correct wage totals for reporting & payment obligations.

Currently, there is no functionality on xero payroll to download CSV for multiple employees details (clicking the three dots to download a CSV) is designed to work for individual employees. However, it would be great to have the ability to generate the report for all employees, both current and historical, in one go instead of one by one. This will save on time and make the payroll reporting experience less tasking.

I would find this helpful as well. Also I have 3 employee groups setup, Admin, Workshop & Apprentices. It would be helpful to be able to select more than one group at a time, currently you can choose ALL or each individual group, but i sometimes need to select two groups i.e workshop & apprentices. This would speed up my reporting time.

It's possible to filter by employee group, which we do for things that require state-based information, or need to separate Directors/regular employees/apprentices, but you have to set the group individually for each employee and you can only have a very limited number of preset group types. That makes it useless when we're doing things like comparing employee earnings for similar roles (to ensure we're being fair with pay structure in practice as well as on paper).
