AU Payroll - Payday super reminders
With the pending Payday super requirements, can there be a reminder or a "can't progress" feature to prompt the person processing the payroll to also pay the Payday super?
Can the business choose to pay superannuation using BPay details instead of linking to a bank account?

Hey community, thanks for your engagement about your needs in Payday Super.
As you may have seen, we've introduced a new auto super overview page which indicates the number of contributions that need attention/are past their expected payment date, as well as batches that need your attention too.
We have plans for developing send email notifications that'll be triggered to all payroll admins;
- 1 day after the expected payment date has passed, and again
- 7 days after if no action has been taken
We'll keep you updated on these notifications here and encourage your continued feedback.

Having a new column on the Pay Runs page next to the one showing STP as Filed or Pending would be a good reminder (MYOB does this). The Auto Super page only shows batches created, not ones missing.
A reminder email would also help as a secondary reminder.

Can the Superannuation overview summary be included on the Payroll Overview (eg 10 outstanding payment amounts, or Super payments all up to date).
Also can there be a Superannuation Overview Summary widget that can be included on the Business Overview to see if super is up to date or not.
With the short timeframes for Australian Payday superannuation, having these views allows businesses to stay on track with outstanding tasks.

I think a Superannuation Payment widget on the Home Page would be great. Just as a reminder in case this step gets missed. Similar to the Activity Statement widget which provides a reminder of outstanding lodgements on the Home Page

Dear Xero Product Team,
I would like to suggest a feature enhancement within Xero that could greatly assist users in maintaining compliance with superannuation obligations.
It would be extremely helpful if Xero could include an automated reminder feature for upcoming pay days specifically linked to super compliance deadlines. Such a feature could notify users in advance to ensure super payments are processed and reported on time.
This functionality would improve workflow efficiency, reduce the risk of missed deadlines, and support businesses in staying compliant with superannuation requirements.Kind regards,

interesting. 1 month, 8 votes and this idea is 'in development'.
Yet a related idea over 3 years old with 344 votes and over 100 comments, many screaming "this must be done before 1Jul26" is at status 'accepted' and " high on our agenda, likely to be picked up later this year."I can imagine the frustration after receiving this reminder, and then finding this sole payment approver is on leave, so the payment can't go through anyway.

Agree with both of these.
Reminders required & definitely ability to pay using Bpay as ATO clearing houses closing down. 50% of employers pay super uding Bpay on a survey i did outside of Xero.
