We need a user role where an employee can have full access to all features , but not seeing the bank account or bank recons. There is confidential information that should be kept that way

Why is it taking over 2 years to implement a basic functionality required by so many businesses?

Reiterating Daria's comment - we also just switched from MYOB to Xero and cannot believe that you cannot limit the User's ability to view certain bank accounts. Please keep us informed with this progress.

This is a critical component to ensure casual or temporary staff do not have access. More criteria for users roles are required. A tick list of what they do or dont have access to.

We recently switched to XERO from MYOB and were a bit frustrated as this feature was available to us there. Please inform us of the progress on this development, as our business decisions depend on it.

It would be a great feature to be able to adjust certain permissions within users in relation to bank accounts. In one Xero organisation I have 3 bank accounts and 10 credit cards, however I would like one user to be able to only see 1 bank account and 2 of the credit cards, not all of them.

For view and access to multiple business bank account in Xero, I suggest viewing access should be restricted according to the Xero role of the user, except for the master user role.
It is important some of the business financial information must not be visible to all Xero user in the business.

Please add me to the list to inform when I can better control user access, so that they can access the business side of Xero, but not the accounting side

This is critical to add this feature. I would like certain users to be able to reconcile incoming payments from certain bank feeds. But I do not want to them have access and visibility of the bank account which employees salaries are paid from. This information is too sensitive, as such only the FD is able to reconcile and this is a large task which takes up a lot of their time.

Please could this be added as a feature as soon as possible

I can’t believe this idea has been raised for more than two years and is still unresolved.
Xero, please stop being arrogant and start listening to the users.

A number of clients would like to restrict user access to specific bank transactions eg a person may need to be restricted so that they cannot see wages/salaries coming through the bank.
By being able to see these transactions, this can influence salary/wage discussions

I'm surprised that turning off bank visability for certain users isn't a priority function to introduce.

Admin staff, raising a PO should not be able to see the bank balance.

Limiting access to specific bank accounts and reports is critical!

Still no option to limit sensitive data.

I Echo Sam Mar's statement.

To manage our company account I have junior employees that need to check if customers paid but should not be able to see the balance in the bank account. Another department makes sure that bank payments are allocated.

I would appreciate more granular setting options. I came from Sage and with Xero at double the price I expected to find this as a standard function

User permission settings on Xero are pathetic. It's a major weakness of the platform. The ability to fully customize settings for users must be a priority.

Our company will switch back to Sage (which has this functionality) if not addressed soon.

Yes this is definitely something that needs to be done asap. Its an important feature for a lot of small to medium size businesses

I agree with all of these comments. It should be a very basic feature that you can separate who can view which bank accounts as users on Xero.
