  1. It would be great if we could have repeating queries on Xero Ask so that it will automatically send queries requesting year end information or VAT return records without any human input. It would save a lot on admin time and give Xero accountants an edge.

Xero tax software needs to be amended so that a provisional tax payment requested based on the previous year plus 10% shows up as the first installment of provisional tax due in the xero tax return even though the client hasn't made the payment but is required to have paid by the 1st provisional tax date. At present shows as 0.00 which is incorrect based on the inland revenue rules. So at present have to copy the tax return to a pdf export to word and then manually amended the tax return to show the correct tax payment that was…

  3. Hi There,

    We are wanting to add a new column under the family group view in XPM to show the budget against the open jobs. Making it easier to see what budget has been allocated again each job to make it easier for billing.

  4. Add the ability to reference a job via the url e.g. https://app.practicemanager.xero.com/job/jobview.aspx?id=J012480 where J012480 is the Job Code in XPM.

In MYOB, we had individuals as well as partnerships and trusts (which names included surnames of the associated individuals) set up in surname order, which would allow the clients to be sorted, filtered and exported to various lists or worksheets in that order and make it easy to compare/pick up other fields that should be the same for the group/family members (like addresses, emails for tax notices etc). In Xero, however, the names are sorted by the Name* (for entities) or Display Name* (for individuals) - the fields which we only want to be used as display names on the…

  8. AU TAX - Client Substantiation for all Tax Returns.
    Only Activity Statements and Individual Tax Returns have Client Substantiations. Can we have client substantiation documents on all tax returns included in Trust Tax Returns, Partnership Tax Return, Company Tax Return.

  9. Xero apps - In Xero HQ we use to have the apps under the explorer tab, to see the most popular apps and what clients are using them. It was highly useful to advise clients when an app was to cease or we were introducing an alternative to see who was using it.

    Appreciate the interest and hearing the use you have in seeing integrated apps your clients have connected.

    As some will have received communication of some time back - we made the hard decision to retire Explorer in Xero HQ from 12 April, 2023.

    Right now, if you'd like to see the apps a client has connected you can open the Xero organisation, go to settings and select Connected apps.

    While this is something we may consider developing elsewhere in Xero HQ down the road, it isn't in the teams plans right now. We'll continue to track interest here, and let you know if there is any change surrounding this to share. Thanks

  10. We are finding staff are regularly being logged out of XPM when they move between the 'Clients' tab & the 'Jobs' tab. When this happens it asks staff to log back in, but we are finding it is taking them to random different areas of XPM instead of back to where they were. i.e Setting up a new organisation page, in the middle of a client file etc. This appears to be a basic functionality issue that needs to be fixed.

  11. I’d like to suggest adding an automated feature for populating dates in the Company Minutes, using the reporting date as a reference. This would eliminate the need to manually update dates throughout the document, saving time and reducing errors.

  12. I have just learned that XPM does not connect to Outlook and thus Client data is not synced. I thought this would be the most important information to sync with outlook, Afterall clients are who accountants communicate with most.

  13. The Cover Letter shows the Taxable income and refundable/payable amount, can it also then include spousal tax return information so we can send one cover letter for two tax returns.

  15. Please add a column in Xero HQ, not unlike "unreconciled items" that notes the STP status of connected Xero organisations. Options to flag in this column are "STP 2 not setup", "[Year] Finalisation outstanding".

    Hi there, we appreciate you raised this a little while ago. This isn't something we have plans for in the near term.

    Not getting a lot of support from other members we’ll soon remove this from Product ideas. If it’s still highly valuable to you, welcome to start it again and see if it gets renewed interest.

  16. I still have lots of staff asking to see a Group Certificate, especially if they have not put their tax in for a few years. It would be great if we could generate a "dummy" group certificate for the staff member, after the end of financial year. It give them the info they want immediately and adds professionalism to our company if we can provide what they need.

  17. Where clients are subscribers to their own Xero but add an adviser who is linked to a Xero partner practice, it would be useful if there was an option for them to choose to give the practice as a whole access so that if, eg, their contact leaves, the practice administrator can give access to their new contact as long as they are Partner Staff.

    Hi team, we hope you are liking the new staff and client experience for managing your practice, with Xero Partner Hub beginning to rollout to practices over the coming months.

    To provide an update on the desire for being able to provide a practice access when a practice staff is invited into a clients org - this is something our teams are currently exploring.   19. In Job Manager, please include the following dates to allow better management of workflow and practice objectives to better service clients:

    • Job Received Date (from client) - make this editable, but history of changes is recorded and viewable.
    • Job Start Date (when job was started on, or triggered, for recurring ones)
    • Job STATE Due Date (for the specific Job States)
    • Job FINAL Due Date (eg. based on deadlines or Practice's targets, eg. within 8-12 weeks of receiving the Job)
    • Last Actioned Date (this can sit within the Comments/Notes column within Job Manager view, just as so many others have requested***).

    Hi Vernis, currently it's possible to view Start and Due date from Job Manager, however the others you've mentioned are not available. If we make any plans to add State, Last actioned date or Received date we'll update you here.

  20. Improve multi currency capability of XPM.

    Currently, XPM only caters for invoicing out in the base currency and so invoices are done out of Xero. When it compes to KPI reports out of XPM, the info is all wrong. Invoice amounts pull through in invoice currency and not base currency, where as time is calculated in the base currency, these are incorrectly picked up as over and unders. Since there is no way to see what currency the invoice is in, reports from XPM are quite useless and differ significantly to profit reported in Xero for entities that invoice in…
