XPM - Update client details via API
As a dedicated Xero partner, I've been leveraging the capabilities of the XPM Suite in conjunction with Seamlss to manage and streamline my operations. While the current integration offers a range of functionalities, I've observed that the existing API limitations are hindering our efficiency.
One of the most pressing concerns is the manual transfer of sensitive client data, especially Bank Details. My administrative team often finds themselves in the tedious and risky position of copying and pasting this critical information due to the API constraints. This not only consumes valuable time but also poses potential security risks.

Xero Tax - Import 100% tax VAT adjustment
Import VAT on goods and services received. We require a 100% VAT adjustment, tax rate. Where 100% of the subtotal goes into tax; and 0% goes into the cost. At the moment when allocating 100% VAT it adds the subtotal + 100% VAT = doubling the amount. The alternative is to use multiple lines to off set the subtotal and take 100% of the VAT. Other accounting software has the ability to do a 100% VAT adjustment on one cost line, eliminating the need for the multiple lines and offset.

Subscription - Select from org users when transferring
When requesting a transfer of the subscription, display a list of current users so that one can be "ticked" / selected as the receipient. As generally these are the clients anyway.
This would ensure correct details, as the user name and email address is already in Xero.3 votes -
Automatically archive Tax returns
It would be good if XPM automatically archived tax returns once assessed or maybe at a certain date, for example all 2022 tax returns archived when we are doing the 2023 year

GST Late claims
Not a new idea however something that we should be aware of.
The late claims button / tab on the new GST return will not show to look into transactions if the Net amount of the total late claims is Nil. This means that if a change is made from April date to March date in July period, when you look at the late claims in the June July return because the amount is netted as Nil they dont show. making it very hard to reconcile your End of Year GST back on workpapers.2 votesHi team, as noted in my last update - while we appreciate your feedback, we don't have any intentions of changing how this is shown within Late claims. We'll move the idea to Not planned so others coming across the idea here are aware. Thanks

Practice Manager | Timesheets - Search job by keyword
On the timesheet entry page, allow users to type keywords in the "Job" section and show search results.
At present you have to click the dropdown, which lists all open jobs, and then find the job you are working on.3 votes -

Xero Tax - For the U.S.
In the U.S. Xero is one of the top accounting software companies. Its biggest competitor Quickbooks has several Intuit tax software products that integrate with each other. I would like to Xero launch Xero Tax in the near future as Intuit products aren’t as innovative, robust and user friendly. Glad to see this is available in other markets but would love to see it roll out here in the states

Xero Tax (AU) | Tax Estimate - Deceased Estate
Xero gave us a tax estimate for deceased estates (but only within the first three years...), and on my very first trial of this new feature ran into a roadblock - I cannot find anywhere to input the PAYG Instalments paid by the deceased estate, therefore the estimate is inaccurate.

NZ Tax Letters - Notification when Tax Letter email fails to send
Currently if a tax letter email fails to send, for whatever reason, there is no email notification it failed to send. The system really needs to be enhanced so the person who sent the tax letter from XPM gets an email notification that the tax letter failed to send to that email address. Currently it is just blind faith that all letters are sent which is clearly not good.
51 votesHi everyone, we appreciate the continued contributions here and while this is something our team may look at further in the future we want to be upfront that it's not currently on the roadmap.
We'll be keeping a close track on the interest this further build here and be sure to share further updates if it is revisited.
Thank you for sharing and engaging with us on this here in Product Ideas.

Workpapers - GST and PST bills should generate the date of the end of the period reported
Generated GST and PST bills should generate the date of the end of the period reported. January to March reporting should generate a report with the date of March 31, 2024 and not the date of that the bill is generated.

AU Tax: CGT - Option to copy and transfer
Capital gains tax worksheet - where an capital assets is owned by more than one person say husband and wife 50:50. If the worksheet has been prepared for one taxpayer, have an option to have this copied/ transferred to the other taxpayer similar to rent schedule.
For property generally there could be just one item but for shares there may be huge number of CGT events.

Transaction list showing unapplied payment amount
We need a transaction list for all contact where the unapplied payment amount reflects. It is very difficult to compare our Xero statement with transaction list from a supplier (or debtor for that matter) if you have to export the Xero report on the contact to be able to add up all applied payments and then only be able to compare statements.
The Contact summary Report should have the option of seeing the report with applied payments or show the payment amount as it came (or was paid out) to suppliers / customers.2 votesHi Elmie, just trying to understand your idea here a little better - when you mention 'unapplied payment amount' would this be an amount that's been paid by your customer but hasn't yet been applied to the invoice, or the outstanding amount of an invoice once payment has been applied ?

Practice Manager | Add Office 365 (sharepoint) as a document management option
You have 4 other online cloud document management systems listed via XPM. We use SharePoint and would request this to be added as a further option to link our programs for efficiency and easy of use.
We would then like tasks to be setup in jobs, that we can "link" documents in Sharepoint, to tasks/jobs in XPM.
