  1. If a client fails to pay the first installment of provisional tax why is it then added to the next installment and then P1 shows as nothing due. This is incorrect, the amount due at P1 is still the same (per the IRD), the debt at P1 has not moved to P2. What happens for client's who have RIT over $60k?

  2. For notes made in Tax Payments: these need to be split into 2 areas, (1) notes pertaining to that provisional installment and, (2) notes that will continue to roll forward.

    It is crucial that even if the installment date has passed, the notes are still visible. Also from the main Tax Payments screen we need an indicator on the client row to show that the client has an active note (with the ability to archive a note as well).

  3. Would be very beneficial to be able to run a report listing all clients who have outstanding transfers and refunds for a period (and export it). We need to be proactive and contact the IRD before they refund the client instead of actioning a transfer as requested. In APS we could pick up any mismatch early and were able to contact the IRD or the client and rectify quickly.

  4. I find that Xero Green/(grey) logging out all the time is extremely frustrating for work flow. It has become more apparent with the new versions coming through, that if I spend more than an hour on a job, Xero has logged me out, and the timer I was using resets and loses the time, and after re-logging in, I am taken to the home page, and not the job I was just in. Can there please be an option to remain logged in until the browser closes or I choose to log out, and for goodness sake, can I stay…

  5. When preparing future year return, in my case, FY2025 tax return for one individual client, even though it shows 2025 tax year, Xero tax is actually FY2024 tax rate for calculation. So the result is not accurate. Will Xero Tax fix this issue in the future?

  6. Since the change to the partner hub, this has disappeared.

    I cannot be the only one who accessed activity statements from the job and not the tax returns tab?

    They disappear into the tax return tab abyss now.

  7. The Activity Statements in Xero Tax need to have the total payable/refundable at the top of the screen like the Tax Returns do. It would be nice to see the result when you're on a different page than the summary page.

Have the ability to run a report to include in the Financial Statements that is a Group Summary, so includes all selected entities within a group and details all amounts payable or refunds due for all upcoming provisional and terminal tax dates (regardless of balance date) and a Net Tax position

  10. Please reinstate the ability to edit email addresses under the bulk email function under Tax > Payments. Depending on the type of tax notice, we have to send a tax notice to a staff member and copy in an additional person. It will not allow us to enter in a second email address under the client profile. This is very time consuming if we have to send it out twice and inefficient.

  11. The fact that it's so hard to get a rental property schedule to share from one return to the selected second client is very very very very annoying. If there were a button we could press to manually ask it to share across that would save endless saving, closing, opening, closing the whole program, turning off your computer and leaving my desk in frustration.

  12. In other accounting management software, you can allocate WIP to a previously posted invoice. This is a really handy feature which prevents WIP being written off if a job has already been invoiced and no further invoices will be raised.
    It helps with budgeting and KPI's (preventing WIP writeoff).
    There are enough times when it has been needed, e.g. after a job has been completed and invoiced, and new information comes to light requiring a re-work.

  13. This request is for an additional “Trading As” name (or T/A) field to be added to XERO on “Contact” level. This T/A name must then also appear on the client invoices below the entity Legal Name. This T/A field must also be available separately on Client reporting level.

    Examples of current problems we are experiencing:
    The “Contact name” field is used to populate the name of the entity on the Invoices and various Reporting.

    This "Name field" in most applications or software programs must only contain the entity formal Legal Name. As several of our clients use a "Trading As"…

  14. Including IR4J as a Return Type in report builder - Reposting

    when we have a report that we would want to specify the type of return e.g. ir3, ir4 there does not seem to be the IR4J specifically for when we file a IR4J on its own for members apart of a consolidated group and only require to file their own imputation return.

    It would be great if this could be included as this helps when reporting our internal filing stats.

  16. Xero announced yesterday that the search via TFN and ABN are now both possible from the Client list. I have tested and we can still only search by using the TFN. ABN search is still not working.
    Is anyone else experiencing this same issue.

  17. When using the new Xero Beta FRS102 IA module based in Xero blue, You can lock the accounts to be sent for signature. But this is not reflected in the Xero Company accounts and tax module on Xero HQ, where the lists of what has and hasn't been done for workflow is kept. It seems to continue to show in progress in the status bar as well. This is important for maintaining Audit trails of who does the review and when things can be sent out.
    The final review on the CT600 is still there.

  18. In the Fixed Assets module, it would be helpful to have the option to link to the ATO's Effective Life tables when adding a new asset. This feature would allow users to search for the Effective Life of an asset. It should also be possible to overwrite this value, allowing you to input a different number of years if they choose to self-assess. Having access to the ATO's guidance would be extremely helpful.

  20. We have a number of Trust who now have "Special Trust Advisors" appointed by Deeds. I would like to be able to add in Special Trust Advisors as a relationship in trusts.

    It would be really useful to be able to customise the relationship options in all business categories
