Xero HQ - Alphabetise client list in Xero staff
At the moment Xero doesn't have a list of clients in alphabetical order when I go into Staff to amend access. With over 200 clients, it is taking a long time to sort it all out, even if I use the search box.
Please include functionality so that the client list in Staff is in alphabetical order by default, the same as it was in My Xero staff.
I would also like to see a number value next to the staff member's name showing how many clients they have access to. Practice Manager | Xero integration - Identify job number within invoices
When pulling invoices through from Xero to XPM (i.e. to report on fees v.s. costs/budget), it would be much more beneficial if XPM could locate its Job Reference Number within the line item description of an invoice, rather than just the invoice reference field.
This would mean multiple XPM jobs could be referenced on the same invoice (e.g. 001 Payroll, 002 Accounts, 003 Bookkeeping), as well as mitigating for firms like ours where we also bill other non-relevant monthly services (e.g. HR, Legal services etc.) on the same monthly invoice to a client.

Xero HQ - Report on all client automatic superannuation batches
A report that could tell you the status of all clients super payments that are processed through the Xero super function. This would allow practices to ensure compliance with ATO processing and payment dates

Xero Tax (UK) | Add more tagging options to the balance sheet
In Xero tax , There should be separate and separate tagging/ mapping for Net wages, Director's Loan accounts, Pension liability , PAYE liability etc. instead of common tagging/Mapping as "other creditors".
Because Reader/Practitioner may face difficulties to identify figurs in accounts reports. If Xero team provides tagging options more specific to Balance sheet items it will improve quality of Accounts report generated by Xero Tax.9 votes -

Can you please add the ability to create a Foreign Rental Schedule Capital allowance - Asset worksheet and Capital works - Asset worksheet in Income Tax Returns

Right now, we do not have plans for adding asset worksheets for Foreign Rental Capital allowance, or Capital works in the Income Tax return.

When viewing bills/invoices under a contact, can the 'bill created', 'bill approved' and 'bill paid' icons be different colours please? :)

Clients - Ability to assign multiple job numbers
we use job numbers to identify the works being carried out so I entered the Job number in Contacts against the Client name but this number comes out on the invoice against the client name on the address block. It would be good to be able to have multiple jobs nos for each client so we can identify the job no. on the Customer page

Multi-currency - Remove currency
Remove a currecy added in error and never used, which makes reports more complicated than need be (Source AND GBP in every Transaction report, implying we are multicurrency when we never have been)

Document Packs: Mark as complete when missing signatures
It would be useful to have the ability to mark a document pack as complete even if some of the signatures are missing.
We have had occasions where trustees refuse to sign via document packs after the clients have already signed. We then have to print the partially signed documents and send hard copies for trustees to sign.
This leaves the document pack incomplete. The only option available is to cancel the pack, not ideal The ability to mark the pack as complete would be a great addition.

Workpapers - Prepare on Cash basis
Ability to prepare workpapers on a cash basis is critical to be able to line up with xero reports prepared under Tier 4 cash reporting framework.

With new Workpapers you'll be able to select the accounting basis (cash or accrual) when setting up a workpaper pack, ensuring your calculations and reports align perfectly with your client's needs.
We've just started roll out to Australia, and will be following to other regions in 2026. We understand that you're eager for this feature, and we'll keep you updated on the progress, here.

User Roles: Set time limit on access
We are currently reviewing our staff access, and have realised that it is currently a labourious process when a staff member only temporarily needs access to a ledger e.g. technical help, auditor access, to cover sick/holiday leave.
It would be great to be able to set a time limit for access when staff or users when they are added e.g. 1 day, 1 week, 2 weeks, or on a given date. This would save practice managers having to keep note of when users needed to be removed and having to do that all manually.

XPM - Add column for Email to Client list
Can we please customise client page on XPM to add EMAIL.. We currently see the Client NAME, PH NUMBER, and ADDRESS. Can we please add EMAIL to the page?

NZ Tax - Bulk create GST/Tax returns for the period/year
Currently we have to create GST/Tax returns one at a time for our entire list. It would be great if we can create gst returns on the gst jobs in one go so we don't miss any on the outstanding report.

Xero Tax (AU) - Incorporating into trial of Xero
Does Xero have any plans to incorporate 'Xero Tax' in the trial version? I can see that there are a number of videos on Xero Tax on Xero Central. If it was incorporated in the trial version- it would provide students with hands-on experience as opposed to just watching videos or reading texts.
As Xero is now being used by many accounting firms, Tax professionals who are currently working in other platforms such as Sage Handisoft or MYOB don't know how Xero tax works. When they are trying to change companies- it would provide them an advantage if they are…

Practice Manager | Clients - Ability to set separate contact information from linked Contact
Thanks to the team for releasing the ability to link one contact to multiple clients! While appreciated, it falls a tad short since only the "Position" is set per client. If possible, it would be great if the Salutation, Addressee, Phone, Mobile, Email Address, and Custom Fields, could also be set on a per client basis. This would allow for flexibility where the one contact has different contact details per client.
One example is a bookkeeper that works for 5 clients of ours. For two of those clients, they use hey@awesomebookkeeping.com. For the other three, they use accounts@client1.com,…
