    HI Sally, jumping back on your idea here our team are working on providing more flexibility to the info you view from Job Manager.

    Right now, we're developing columns for Staff, Manager and Partners. Around the same time we expect to deliver these additions, we'll also enable you to hide detail you'd prefer not to view. So, you can decide and only see the information relevant for you when viewing Jobs.

    We'll return to share more when this is available🙂

  2. For deceased individual clients, the period end date for their final tax return needs to be changed to their date of death. The tax return should not still be reporting the entire financial year.

    There is a cell where we are able to input client date of death.

    Recommending for product team to code this update so the period end date of these individual tax returns are also updated to reflect the Date of death.

    Hi everyone, while we appreciate you raising the idea for this here, we want to be upfront that this is not something we're looking to develop. 

    For electronic lodgment, the ATO's requirements to report the whole year with data of death as an extra field. There are validations and calculations that use this date. This is different to paper lodgment. 

    As this is the case, we will not make the end date editable.

  3. It would be wonderful if we could transfer interest, dividends, annual trust distribution information, and capital gains between a husband and wife (or partners etc) when the accounts are held 50/50 or 1/3 25% etc without having to re-enter the schedule into the other party's tax return.

    Link the partners together like it does with a rental schedule.

  4. And before someone tries to tell me XPM is a premium product and that's why it has additional functions like search 🥴 search is not a premium feature. We just want to be able to search for a client without changing from Returns to Clients page.

  5. Would be cool to be able to edit the name of the PDF attachment sent with the Tax Payments emails from "PaymentLetter" to a name that is more specific to the client.

    Would be particularly helpful where a client has multiple entities to pay tax for.

    Possibly use XPM merge fields for the pdf file name? for example "{Client} Payment Letter due {PaymentDueDate}"

  6. Currently there is the ability to click on the file preview within an accrual based VAT return and this will pull up the attachment on that transaction. This doesn't work on the cash based return unless the attachment has been attached to the payment itself rather than the bill/sales invoice entry.

    It would be helpful if the cash based return could pull the attachments from the same bill/invoice area as accrual based returns.

  7. The ability to look up client by entering their client code. Currently we have to go to groups and find the client belonging to the group. Our admin system is based on client codes and it would make it easier having the client code look up option.

  8. Merge contacts (not clients) in XPM? I seem to have lots of duplicates but I don't want to just delete the ones with no jobs/invoices attached to them incase they are linked elsewhere. Is there a way to merge them? All the searches I have done only talk abut merging clients.

  11. Just wondering if there is anything in the pipeline at all where you could potentially upload support documents, receipts, invoices etc behind the tax return item item while in the ITR. Would be a very handy function for individual tax returns.

  12. Ability to be able to report on the date sent for Xerosign returns. The date sent is recorded but you can't report on it. This would make follow ups a lot easier to be able to see when each out to sign return was sent for e-signing.

  13. In XPM, there is a subtotal of all the amounts of each task in the fixed price column. It would be handy to show a subtotal of all amounts for each task in the calculated column. This would allow you to see, at a glance, the write up/down for the invoice.

  14. The ability to view/ create Reoccurring jobs within the individual Client. at the moment its a very different setup to create Reoccurring jobs.
    Additionally the ability to convert a single job to a reoccurring job. Will make creating jobs much easier.

  16. Would be great to copy company access rights from one staff user to another. When a staff member leaves and inherits a portfolio of clients would be great to copy client access from one client to another.

    Hi everyone, while this is an idea that our team would like to explore, there are other pieces of work priortised for the time being. We'll shift the status of this idea back to submitted. When there is more news to share around this we'll be back to update you all, here. 

  19. Ability to add a default accountant's signature in the accountants' report. This would mean that the we do not have to sign each and every report before sending to client to approve and sign the balance sheet.

    Hi team, atm we're releasing our new company accounts production solution which will soon be available to all Xero partners.

    This product delivers a more efficient workflow directly within Xero.

    Once you have this, you'll be able to navigate to the Accountants' Report, where you can edit the content of the report and add the signatory during the accounts production workflow. This'll include the signature prior to issuing the accounts to your client. This'll be on a per filing basis but we'll continue to assess feedback on whether we can include this name by default within Practice Settings.

  20. We work in small teams and it would be great if we could get a "Staff" drop down added for the client set up. So we could know the partner on the account, the lead accountant/manager and the staff member that works on the file so we know who to approach for various issues :)
