  1. A report showing which clients are using which bank feeds.
    This would allow easy updates to client and internally when we become aware of a bank feed causing duplications or other errors.

  2. Ability to customise the mapping of the workpaper hotlinks!

    The hotlink feature in workpapers is pretty neat in that it will automatically link in the relevent reports however this could be even more powerful with some very minor teaks.

    Firstly the new style reports would be a good start for replacement but what would be even better then this is the ability to amend the hotlink reports for clients either on a by client or practise level... i.e. if we had the ability to link in customised reports instead of just having the transaction report linked in - I know…

  3. Xero Log on - Alias email address for use with multi practice access.
    Currently working in two accountancy practices with access to Xero but can only have one access to Admin. This means restricted access to one practices clients and having to be added manually to each client.
    I have a generic email address from my Log in so the clients are not aware I work for multiple firms. This has to be explained to the client as it shows in their user list. Also when emailing clients directly from Xero, an alias email has to be created for that…

  4. When preparing personal tax return on Xero, I accidentally edited the field "Your spouse's assessable income" in Spouse tab and now it's labeled as "edited"

    It could be great if I can undo the 'edit' so the field can automatically generate data from spouse's return like how it was

  5. I want to restore an archived client in Xero HQ and can change the list from Practice Clients to Archived but when I enter the client name in the search box it returns only practice clients.

    It appears the only way to find the client to restore it is to go the bottom of the archived clients list and click on "Show more clients" repeatedly until the client shows - quite a laborious process if the client is towards the end of the alphabet!

  6. For the NZ tax returns can you add the Appointers to the Import function a bit like the beneficiaries, this is required to be reported to the IRD each year going forward.

    Thank you for your engagement with this idea, we know that some of you are interested in the ability to add appointers to the IR6 return. ATM power of appointment can’t be filed electronically, this is a restriction imposed by IRD. The information can be recorded in contacts if appropriate but it can't be used in the tax module unless IRD change their rules.

  7. Is there a way to have invoices push from Xero practice manager to Xero with the tax code there of GST Free Income.

  8. My Xero - Managing staff access to clients

    I suppose we have a large-ish accountancy - in My Xero I get a full list of all clients I get access to; that's 25 pages of clients at 50 clients per page. I see all clients irrespective of whether the subscriber is internal (within our accountancy) or external (the client).

    We need to add a new admin staff member and give them “Manage users” + “Payroll admin” to all entities. In My Xero, I drill down into the Staff list, click on the new user and it says I have access…

    The ability to lock down who can prepare doc packs vs who can send them. ie. We want admin to prepare but Director to send. Suggest view / prepare / send.

    Hi everyone, we're happy to say we've been looking into the Workpapers feature taking on board many of the ideas from our forums here. The inclusion of decimal places for things like entertainment expenses will be part of our new Xero Workpapers where all workpapers will show to 2 decimal places. We're starting with releasing this to our Australian partners with intentions to share wider in 2026. Along with information on our Xero blog and website, we'll keep you updated of it's release here.

  14. Why does Xero not pre-fill the Private Health Insurance information of someone who is on their family's PHI?
    i.e. a young adult/teenager who is still on their parents health insurance. (Code F on the tax return).

    I am having to manually enter the information every time I create a return for one, which is frustrating given that the information is already on their ATO pre-fill report, and it prefills fine for their parents.

  15. Add ability to paste multiple invoice references in Find & Match for batch payment reconciliation

    When we receive a single payout from platforms like Shopee, TikTok, or Shopify, the deposit in the bank account represents many individual sales invoices. For example, one payout of 10,000 may include 100 separate invoices recorded in Xero.

    In the Find & Match screen, we can currently only search one invoice reference at a time. This makes reconciliation very slow because we must search and select each invoice individually.

    Suggestion:
    Please add a feature that allows users to paste multiple invoice references at once, so…

  16. Xero sign in document packs - you currently need to manually input the client's details to add their signature for each document pack (for docs with no auto signing feature like tax returns).

    It would be great if there was an option to simply select a client from XPM as all the details are already there (First name/Last name/Email)

  17. It would be fantastic if XPM could facilitate multi-entity invoicing. I.e. syncing invoices relating to certain staff/clients/jobs to a second (or third) Xero blue file. Having 3 ABNs running though 1 practice management system currently requires either 3 instances of XPM, tricky for those staff collaborating across different divisions or a lot of manual manipulation to split fee income.

  18. We have multiple Practices with multiple organisations. To add JAX to every single organisation is not even fathomable. A feature that allows users to enable JAX for multiple organisation is needed, it doesn't have to be from Xero HQ, possibly even My Xero would work.

  19. You are able to post a dividend with a date in a different year. I don't think it should let you type a date outside of the period. Until you click review it does not flag an error

  20. When creating a journal and posting it, if we want to go back and make it an auto-reversing journal, the only way is to click "copy" or "reverse" then enter a new journal at a required future date. When doing this, Xero does not link the two (i.e. does not recognise the new journal as an auto reversing journal with the usual hyperlink and note). My suggestion is for Xero to keep the "auto reverse" field open when editing already posted journals. Two example use cases:

    1) Accidentally posted journal as a standalone journal and want to then make it…
