  1. Currently you can only set up one cover page template for tax returns in XPM. We'd like to be able to set up two different cover letters with different branding for each tax return and alternate between the two (i.e. select which cover letter you want for that return) when we are printing the tax return.

  2. It would be great if XPM had a little pop-out screen/app option for the quick timer that could sit in the corner of your screen, so you could quickly start/stop/edit your timer.

  3. Would be great to have an option for clients to bulk sign a document pack e.g. similar to Docusign where multiple pdf's are treated as one document.

    At the moment, if there was a document pack with 15 BAS's, the client would have to click into the individual document, click the signature boxes and click to confirm signature. They then have to click into the next document and repeat the same process another 14 times.

    Would be good to have a feature/option we can select when sending out the document, so the client can sign the documents in bulk.

  4. It would be so much better to be able to publish a GST return with the ability to alphabetically list the Account names so all transactions can be presented grouped by the same account code. Then the client can easily review their audit report and identify transactions in the wrong account code.

    Hey community, thanks for you interest in this idea. 

    Wanted to let everyone know about a change to document packs in Xero HQ 😊

    Whilst not quite what this request is after, if you're a member of a UK, NZ or AU practice, you'll now be able to send out bulk reminders for document packs in Xero HQ.

    As this request is specifically for bulk reminders in AU Xero Tax, I won't be closing it out. We'll leave it open to continue to collect feedback and gauge community interest.

  6. Instead of having to add users in three places (HQ, Workpapers & Tax), have the ability to add them once and this then flow through to the additional tools in use at the practice

  7. Currently notes need to be updated manually on the financial statements (as far as I am aware). New accounts need to be added to the respective notes otherwise the figure in the notes will not match the figures in the financial statements.
    I feel that this is inviting error as inevitably there will be times where this process is overlooked.

    it would significantly simplify the process if Xero recognises where a note is connected to a financial statement line item, and then automatically fills in the notes with the same accounts grouped in the financials.

  9. XeroTax currently cannot produce accounts where the company has a IP registered number. It would appear that the only change needed to do these accounts is to recognise the different registered number format.

  10. We noticed last provisional tax letters that we sent out to clients had the date the amounts were approved.

    We usually approve before and e-mail/post letters closer to time.

    Is there a way the date can be changed on the Provisional tax letter to the day its getting e-mailed to client?

  11. When you have multiple companies using Xero and utilise the function to approve bills in Xero for audit tracking purposes you need a way to view the number of bills "Awaiting approval" in all of the companies in one place.

    It is very time consuming to open each company individually in order to confirm that there are bills that need approval.

  13. When a new team member starts and you want to give them access to a large number of custom reports in XPM you need to add manually one by one for each report. Would love to be able to select a group of reports and add new team member in one go.

  15. Ability to customise the mapping of the workpaper hotlinks!

    The hotlink feature in workpapers is pretty neat in that it will automatically link in the relevent reports however this could be even more powerful with some very minor teaks.

    Firstly the new style reports would be a good start for replacement but what would be even better then this is the ability to amend the hotlink reports for clients either on a by client or practise level... i.e. if we had the ability to link in customised reports instead of just having the transaction report linked in - I know…

  16. Xero Log on - Alias email address for use with multi practice access.
    Currently working in two accountancy practices with access to Xero but can only have one access to Admin. This means restricted access to one practices clients and having to be added manually to each client.
    I have a generic email address from my Log in so the clients are not aware I work for multiple firms. This has to be explained to the client as it shows in their user list. Also when emailing clients directly from Xero, an alias email has to be created for that…

  17. When preparing personal tax return on Xero, I accidentally edited the field "Your spouse's assessable income" in Spouse tab and now it's labeled as "edited"

    It could be great if I can undo the 'edit' so the field can automatically generate data from spouse's return like how it was

  18. I want to restore an archived client in Xero HQ and can change the list from Practice Clients to Archived but when I enter the client name in the search box it returns only practice clients.

    It appears the only way to find the client to restore it is to go the bottom of the archived clients list and click on "Show more clients" repeatedly until the client shows - quite a laborious process if the client is towards the end of the alphabet!

    Thank you for your engagement with this idea, we know that some of you are interested in the ability to add appointers to the IR6 return. ATM power of appointment can’t be filed electronically, this is a restriction imposed by IRD. The information can be recorded in contacts if appropriate but it can't be used in the tax module unless IRD change their rules.
