  1. The Client Code field is not available in the ITCRPT report. Having the Client Code field available in all reports is a basic key function of any CRM, as it allows for proper data matching between systems, data cleansing, combining reports and analysis. Using the Client Code field across all systems is common practice.

  3. Would like the ability to be able to view all clients on screen in Xero HQ for the purposes of merging duplicates as being able to click the 'Show more clients' means it's difficult to navigate where there is a trading name and legal name in different parts of the list.

    Hi community,

    Our product team recently made significant improvements to the client list! 🥳

    You can now choose how many clients to show per page, making it easier to see many more clients. You can now also sort your client list using many more columns. Previously the only column you could sort by is client name but now you can hover over all the columns (organisation name, email address, phone number, business number, subscription type, industry classification, connected banks, financial year, Bank feed deprecation) on the client list and sort. 

    Finally, you can also merge or add clients to groups from the list page. 

    The product team don't have any plans to enable the ability to view all clients on one screen which is why we're shifting this to 'not planned' but we believe that these combined changes will provide a better navigation experience.

  4. Suggestion for development - We continually have problems with WFF transfers to associated entities. We have tried phoning IRD to put a halt on the account, then follow up with secure mail advising what transfers are required - however more often than not the halt is not implemented correctly. Would be great if Xero could implement something (even a tick box identifying transfers required) that would then trigger at IRD for them to hold funds pending transfer. Alternatively the WFF credit could be added into the tax returns, and transfers done via the return. (I have worked with other tax…

  5. New XPM Contacts that link to multiple clients shows archived contacts when search. This is confusion to know which contact to select when the client has archived entities, if use incorrect one then not using 1 main contact. Currently having to select each one till find the main contact with current contact info.
    Need to block out archived contacts from showing or atleast show a symbol against them so know not to select it.

  6. US Tax - Create Schedule C Report with Full Cost (Total/Gross Cost Inclusive of Sales Tax) for tax return. Currently, it will pull the amounts without the sales tax (created when you match a transaction/enter an invoice using tax on purchases amounts) into the report, which is under-reporting the amount for the Schedule C tax deductions.

    The current work-around is to pull the transaction reports for each account and use the Gross amount from those reports in Excel to link back to the Schedule C report.

  7. AU Tax - print return with option to exlude table items from worksheets

    Update from Xero function in Xero Tax imports all ledger items into the worksheets in the financial disclosure section which looks untidy and provides too much information when presenting to the client. A good option would be if we could summarise these items in the worksheets, which would be far more presentable.

  8. Remove CTR validation error for label 10A when entering 0 directly into the main label which is required when using temporary full expensing under the simplified depreciation rules. Instead you are required to create a nil schedule to remove this error and report correctly which is pointless.

  9. We are using the 'Client Queries' function for the first time this year.

    In Workpapers, each time a request for information is sent to a client, the 'Queries History' logs that an email was sent to the client, however there is no record of the content of the email sent for the client.

    We usually would save all emails to clients on file so that anything can be clarified if needed, but have noticed there is no ability to view the email content.

  10. Can we please be able to view and individuals FIRST NAME and LAST NAME on the Client Details Screen. Currently you can only see what the First Name and Last Name for a client is by going in to Edit the page. It seems extremely weird that you can't view the First Name and Last Name of a client on the Main Details page when arguably that is the most important detials of an Individual!

Have the option to have a tick box to show a section as completed, as if you have to leave a return part completed and then return to it, (which could be nearly 2 months later) as you have requested additional information, you have to go through it all again to check what you have done whereas a tick box would show which has been done and save you some time.

    Thanks for your feedback to our last update, it helps beef up our product teams understanding of the needs in this idea.

    Right now this isn't something we have direct plans around. However we'd like to continue tracking the demand in this feature and will share if there are updates, here.

  12. Wouldn't it be great to be able to link the Prepaid Borrowing Costs from the Balance sheet to the Borrowing Costs working paper and have a journal entry that filters through to Xero for the annual write off amount. This is a such a simple thing that would once again save time when it comes to processing.

  13. Request ability for individual users to view their own time recorded under Business Menu without having visibility of all other practice users. There are custom reports you can build to report on time recording but the problem is you can't easily see the total time recorded per day for each staff member for the previous or current week, to check for any gaps. It's not ideal for monitoring time recording, whereas the view under Timesheets in the Business menu is much easier to see at a glance if any days are blank or short in time. However, it is not…

  14. Would be very helpful to have repeating tasks within a job. For example, if doing work for a client over the financial year there are a list of tasks every month. There is no effective solution when there are different staff assigned to different task within the client job. Repeating tasks with staff assigned for the year would allow you to keep track of what has been done & what still needs to be done for each month. (Monthly checklist for July, Aug, Sept,...)

    Currently the only solution is to have a set of tasks and un-tick these each month.…

  15. We would like to have the ability to either customise the Status fields in the Workpapers. Or alternatively have the client Group appear next to the Organisation Name on the main Workpapers page, so we can easily see the client groups.

  17. Would like the option to input IF fields into our tax returns like we can in Activity Statements. I have found I have so much more scope in editing my cover letters by putting in IF fields (eg IF the amount is payable, put in the line about the payment details. IF the due date is already past, replace the date with 'As soon as possible' etc)
    It would be great in general to see more functionality in the cover letters - especially more merge field options, IF fields, and other extra lines depending on certain criteria within the return…

  18. Please revert the staff page back to the old format.

    What used to be able to be accessed all on one page, you now have to click through on to 10 different pages to access the same information, and then this involves scrolling through so much wasted "white space" as well.

    Why are you insisting on pushing through with these changes to your programs which actually make more work for the people that use them.

    And the consistent change to spread everything out so that you constantly have to scroll and scroll and scoll - why. Your need for so…

  19. An option to have uploaded files in Ask to be added to Files. Currently have to be downloaded and then uploaded again to Files. It would be more efficient to have the option to add directly to Files
