  1. It would be great if you could add the standard compare tracking caterogies P&L to the management reports pack. At present, the only way to get it into the pack is to create a custom report, but this locks in the tracking categories selected and any future categories added are omitted.

  5. Similar to Xero Receipt Scanner, but just for timesheets

    A functionality (app) that can scan a manual handwritten timesheet from a notebook and enter the time spent into XPM timesheet, for people who prefer manually writing timesheets in a notebook.

  6. Currently we have to create GST/Tax returns one at a time for our entire list. It would be great if we can create gst returns on the gst jobs in one go so we don't miss any on the outstanding report.

  7. And before someone tries to tell me XPM is a premium product and that's why it has additional functions like search 🥴 search is not a premium feature. We just want to be able to search for a client without changing from Returns to Clients page.

  8. In XPM, there is a subtotal of all the amounts of each task in the fixed price column. It would be handy to show a subtotal of all amounts for each task in the calculated column. This would allow you to see, at a glance, the write up/down for the invoice.

  10. Ability to remove unnecessary fields when setting up a client in XPM or ability to hide the blank fields after the setup so that they don't show up in the Client Details Tab. The purpose is to see the fields with details on them only and to make them look neat and tidy. Please see attached.

  11. This may not gain much traction with established partners, but for those of us who are new to Xero and are working to establish a business, the requirement to sign on a client within 60 days is a problem. At one time, the requirement was 90 days but was shortened to 60 in 2017.

    It should, however, not exist at all.
    Note that your closest competitor has no such requirement.

    What management may not realize is that it comes across as a threat from the beginning, which frankly stopped me from signing up for the program for a while. Now…

    When the label 2 of an ITR is prefilled, I want to be able to detail or write a breakdown of what that allowance amount consist of from the client's STP income statement. e.g.
    - Laundry ###,
    - Motor vehicle ###,
    - Telephone ###

    at the moment the function just inputs the total allowance figure shown in prefill

    Hi Christopher, appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this. While STP prefill helps reduce manual entry, we understand there are times where additional detail is needed to complete the return.

    Having a clearer breakdown of allowances within the tax return could help reduce manual work. We’ve updated the status to Gaining Support so we can track feedback and share interest with the product team.

  13. Remove duplicate suburb name for NZ addresses. Currently needs to manually delete the duplicate suburb name when using the auto-complete feature to populate address fields

  14. Xero Tax makes no attempt to look at the age of the recipient of superannuation annuities. Taxed Elements for individuals over 60 years of age are meant to be excluded from the tax return. The ATO does this automatically - Xero Tax does not. It is not a feature request, this is an error in the software that needs rectifying.

    Thanks Chris for the feedback. We hear that reviewing and adjusting superannuation components based on age can add extra steps during the return process.

    Incorporating age-based logic for Superannuation Taxed Elements may help reduce manual handling and support more streamlined preparation workflows. This has been moved to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking interest and share it with the product team.

  16. Allow adjustable column widths in the Clients screen (like Excel), especially for the Client Name field. Long entity names are currently truncated, making it difficult to identify clients. Also allow adding additional columns such as ABN and Address. This will significantly improve usability for practices managing large client bases.

  17. Bills:

    1. For Credit notes, when you click the 'Save' drop down, there is an option for 'Save and add another' like there is for regular Bills.

    2. Being able to lock a supplier/ 'From' when adding Bills, so we don't need to search for every bill, for when we have multiple bills under one supplier.
      Maybe a lock button next to the contact name which can be clicked to unlock it when no longer needed.

  18. It would be useful to filter by staff teams when allocating access to a client in Xero.

    We already have the ability to group staff into teams within Xero HQ, and it would speed up assigning access to large groups of staff members if we could use these teams when assigning access to a client in Xero HQ. This could be added to the 'Filter' option.

  19. Please add a field at the top of the client page where you can clearly identify in BOLD RED if the client has a stop work/file on hold action. This is helpful for clients that have overdue fees or if they are clients that we require upfront payment for. This needs to be visible on this page so it can not be missed by anyone that may undertake some work who is not aware.

    Hey Amy, thanks for sharing your feedback and for explaining how an alert or “on hold” option in Xero Practice Manager would help you manage work for clients who owe outstanding fees. We’ve reviewed this idea and are now moving it to the Gaining support status so other partners can vote and add their own use cases.
