  1. Xero announced yesterday that the search via TFN and ABN are now both possible from the Client list. I have tested and we can still only search by using the TFN. ABN search is still not working.
    Is anyone else experiencing this same issue.

  3. Public Holiday configuration: There should be a place for admin to set up public holiday for all practice members instead of them having to submit individual timesheets.

    The purpose is to have all necessary data for practice manager to do capacity planning accordingly.

  4. Allow businesses access to workpapers including workflows etc, the same as accounting practices have. This will allow bigger businesses to set up appropriate workflows and not have to take reconciliations out of Xero to complete, saving time and improving processes.

  5. Having the ability to email a client directly from the 'Search clients' area to avoid opening the client file.

    If you search a client & click on the email in the column, there is a pop up just showing the email address again. This should be interactive so you can click on it & an automatic pop out to a new email opens, using your default program. Outlook in my case.

    Hey LInda, thanks for raising this idea with us. Having the option to email a client directly from the client list in XPH is not something we have planned but we have moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can monitor votes and comments. Now all you need to do is share this with friends and colleagues to add their votes and comments!

  6. Client Information - Trusts - Additional Contacts - as we now have to have all Trustees IRD numbers for Trust tax returns, would it be possible to please add a line for Trustees IRD numbers in addtional conatcts?

    Thanks for sharing this idea — I can see why having a field for Trustees’ IRD numbers under Additional Contacts would be helpful when preparing trust tax returns, especially now that all trustees’ IRD numbers are required.

    We’re moving this idea to Gaining Support so we can better understand how many practices would benefit from this and the different workflows involved.

    Now all that's needed is to share the Idea with your colleagues and friends so they can Vote and Comment!

  7. Staff Permission Filter In XPM/HQ

    A filter that allows admin user to be able to select a certain XPM permission and see which staff in the business have access to it.

  8. Add toggle on tax return cover page at daytime contact number section for client phone number or agent phone number similar to postal address and banking details and have information from client manager auto filled for phone number and email address

  9. Currently the practice entity Xero blue file cannot be linked to a 'client' within the client list under the practice. This means users are unable to generate a workpaper pack for the practice.

    Our Practices need to be compliant too, if we are unable to use workpapers within the system, we have to find another solution for our workpapers

    There needs to be the ability to link the practice organisation to an entity within the client list.

  10. Overview:
    Currently, in Xero, the branding theme determines the payment terms and payment method for invoices and bills. While this approach works for general branding purposes, it limits flexibility when managing diverse customer or supplier requirements.

    Problem Statement:
    Many businesses have contacts with unique payment arrangements that do not align with a single branding theme. For example:

    Certain customers may require extended payment terms (e.g., 60 days) while others operate on shorter cycles (e.g., 30 days).
    Suppliers may prefer specific payment methods (e.g., EFT, credit card) that differ from the default settings.

    Hi Meehgan thanks for sharing this idea here. Appreciate having the need to have different payment terms for different contacts. While this is not an existing option in Xero, we are adding your idea to gaining support so that other members from the community are also able to add their comments and vote on this. :)

    Thank you for your interest in having multicurrency available on Xero’s Ledger plans.

    We’ve carefully considered this idea as part of our ongoing product reviews. At this stage, enabling multicurrency for Ledger plans is not in our development pipeline, and there are no plans or timelines to introduce this feature for Ledger.

    We appreciate your feedback and will continue to review our product roadmap based on customer needs and market demand. If the status of this idea changes in the future, we’ll be sure to provide an update.

  14. AU 100% GST on Imports - this function needs to be improved. It's 2025 and we are still required to do manual adjustments for GST on imports to get the correct result. It shouldn't be this difficult!

    Hi Ryu, thanks for sharing this idea here. Appreciate that you're wanting to see improvements in the way 100% GST on import is recorded in Xero. We've moved this idea to Gaining Support and now it's up to the community to get behind it. In the meantime, we'll monitor this idea for more traction.

  15. Low Value Pool:

    Xero has locked the entry of low value figures taken from Quantity Surveyors Report for rental properties in tax - item D6 and insists on creating low value pool schedule by entering the asset.
    Per advice I received from specialist, I entered the figures and date from the beginning of low value pool e.g. 01/07/2019 with starting amount of $431.00. The following errors and issues come up:
    1. The calculated amount was $162 which was claimed five years ago
    2. On validation Xero gives error and asks for a date in current year i.e. between 01/07/2024 to…

It is recommended that for assets purchased in the current year, enter the date they were first used; otherwise, leave that field blank. Also, note that the Xero Tax Low Value Pool is not a comprehensive asset register and therefore does not record the original purchase cost. We've added this idea to Gaining support and it is up to the community to get behind it and support it.

  16. It would be beneficial for the Bank Reconciliation Status to return positive insights as well. I have attached a rough adjustment for the 'Up to date' flag, and I feel the slight CSS value adjustment here makes it more visible that the Bank Reconciliation is in fact up to date.

  17. Want to be able to post money received overpayment's to accounts payable.

    At the moment, if a supplier sends back money and we don't yet have the paperwork, to clear the bank rec we need to add as an overpayment (tight closing dates) However, as its money received it automatically gets posted to the sales ledger. It would be good to have the option to post to the payables ledger so this can be allocated here

  18. If the Job has a Partner and Manager - carry this across to the client view with a notification for the Admin to check if correct. Most of the time the Partner and Manager will be the same staff as in the job. Result more streamlined for reporting purposes in client manager.

  19. Hi Xero Team,

    We need a new customer statement format that functions as a "traditional" detailed ledger.

    The Problem: The current "Activity Statement" is focused on allocations. It shows which invoices are paid or unpaid and portion of payments made to the invoice, but it does not show the payment transactions themselves as separate line items.

    For example, if a customer makes one large payment of R5,000 to clear three invoices, the current statement splits this payment up as their parts to the invoice. The customer cannot see their R5,000 payment listed as a single transaction. This is confusing for…

    Hi Jasmine, thanks for sharing this idea with us. We can see why this would be helpful for some users. Currently, Xero offers the Customer Invoice Activity and the Contacts "Activity statement" . While this information is available on the account transaction report, it is not available in a Statement format. We've moved this idea to Gaining support so that other users who want this idea implemented can vote for it as well. You may share this idea with your colleagues to get more traction!

  20. The previous post on this one has been closed for comments, but the resolution isn't complete. The invoices are allegedly now sorting by most recent invoice number first, but it doesn't work when you go over invoice 9999 to 10000 for example, 9999 is at the top and all the 10000's are further down the page (which is significant for weekly invoiced clients).

    Also invoices transfer from current to archived when there is any payment attached to the invoice, even if it is only part paid.
