  2. Xero sign in document packs - you currently need to manually input the client's details to add their signature for each document pack (for docs with no auto signing feature like tax returns).

    It would be great if there was an option to simply select a client from XPM as all the details are already there (First name/Last name/Email)

It is not in the immediate future planning however we have moved the Idea to Gaining Support.   3. We have multiple Practices with multiple organisations. To add JAX to every single organisation is not even fathomable. A feature that allows users to enable JAX for multiple organisation is needed, it doesn't have to be from Xero HQ, possibly even My Xero would work.

  4. It would be helpful to have a Quick View option for uploaded pictures or screenshots, allowing users to preview attachments without downloading them.

  5. When adding a staff member to a client Xero file with advisor access, previously I was able to notify the staff member. That wasn't an option which meant I needed to go and manually tell the team member that I've added them.

    I like being able to choose if I want to notify them or not because if it's something holding up workflow I want them to know so they can continue working but if I'm just adding them to the team they'll expect to have access so I won't want to notify them in that scenario.

  7. On the Contacts information page you should be able to associate the Contact with a Client and manage associated Clients from the Contacts information page also.

    We’ve updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support.

    Currently, you can hover over a certification to view the expiry date, with colour indicators showing when a certification is close to expiring (yellow) or already expired (red). This idea suggests extending that functionality by including the certification type directly within the Staff tab.

    If this change would improve how you work, we encourage you to vote or comment to show your support. Your input helps inform areas of focus for future improvements.

  9. The Chart of Accounts interface within the client's Xero organisation displays a limitation of 200 accounts per page. This necessitates frequent clicks of the 'Next' button, which can be inefficient. It is believed that the Xero Product Team could enhance this feature to allow the display of an unlimited number of accounts on a single page, mirroring the functionality currently available in the Chart of Accounts template within Xero HQ.

    Thanks for sharing in the community here. While we appreciate there are some organisation's that have a large number of accounts, the current 200 limit per page is sufficient for majority of organisations to see their full list of accounts and we don't have plans for extending this.

  10. It would be great if Xero recognised Bank term deposits or Pie deposits, and could record the interest rate, compounding periods, and calculate accruals to balance date.

    Hi Paul, thanks for sharing this idea. Being able to automatically calculate interest accruals on bank term deposits or PIE deposits within Workpapers would definitely help save time and improve accuracy across your clients.

    This idea is now in the Gaining Support stage, which means it’s on the product team’s radar for further consideration. The votes and comments from the community will help show how valuable this feature is to the wider Xero community and assist in shaping future updates.

  11. IRD are asking us for details of our rental expenses - I would like the Residential and Commercial Rental schedules to accompany the tax return when filing with IRD - I can not imagine anyone wanting to do this manually.

  12. It would be good to be able to customise the Declaration that is just above the signing line in the Tax Returns. The default wording is quite broad, and it we would prefer to be able to customise it to reduce our risk. Clients are not always truthful in reporting all income, and we need to protect ourselves.

    Thanks for sharing this idea with the community. We can understand why being able to add specific wording to the client declaration would be useful.

    This idea is open for voting and comments from the community, and we'll be keeping an eye on its progress to gauge interest.

    In the meantime, while it's not possible to edit the declaration on the return itself, you can add your own custom text and disclaimers to a cover letter that you send with the tax return. This might help you manage the risk you mentioned.

  13. Add option for second week under XPM capacity settings to allow for 9-day fortnight. With the current setup only allowing for one week, this impacts the staff KPI reporting rendering it bascially a useless feature.

  14. If we have the functionality of creating multiple tasks then it will be a good idea to have functionality of ticking off multiple tasks also. As this will save in energy and time.

  15. We would like to see more custom report options that reflect the returns so we can interrogate and pull information out of Xero tax in relation to clients

    In particular, get a list of every client that has a number in the Tax Return Labels – Interest Expense or Interest Expense overseas or Royalty Expenses Overseas - See attach screenshots

  17. We have staff that need to see who the biller client is for a group however we do not want them being able to see staff timesheets.

    We would like the Access Financial data tab broken up to enable staff to see the billing client.

  18. The Cover Letter shows the Taxable income and refundable/payable amount, can it also then include spousal tax return information so we can send one cover letter for two tax returns.

  19. TPAR - Ability to add more than 12 rules. Some clients like to separate out each type of subcontractor they have on the books and end up with a lot more than 12.

  20. I have just learned that XPM does not connect to Outlook and thus Client data is not synced. I thought this would be the most important information to sync with outlook, Afterall clients are who accountants communicate with most.
