  2. Ability to have alert when action is required for a tax return

  3. Enable a Bank account to be created when the Chart of Accounts we have created in HQ is imported. Currently, this is not possible. All Bank accounts in the COA need to be changed to Current Assets, and then in the newly created Xero Blue organisation file, the "Bank" accounts have to be deleted and created again! Very annoying. The overall process is great, but this is annoying. We have many bank accounts in our various standard chart of accounts. I want to include the bank accounts so that my staff know the account numbers to use when they set…

  5. Ability to hide more sensitive data from staff.

    I have an employee who works overseas. Currently I think we can only hide the TFN details but it would be good to also be able to hide date of birth, address and now Director ID details.

    They do not need to see all of the sensitive data when preparing tax returns so it would be good to have some options of what data we can hide from employees.

  6. On the foreign income page on self assessment on Xero Tax, I do not have the function to complete boxes 33 to 40 in order to enter foreign capital gains tax suffered.

  7. we can now do a prefilling of a return very easily, however, we still need to go into the ATO website to download the full prefilling report (approximate 2 -3 minutes) to find any ATO warnings such a Crypto currency transactions or Capital Gain Disposals for shares....or even worse the client has a warning about excessive prior year deductions claimed. If this was to come across when Xero did the download ATO prefilling and come up on the Xero warning when you validate the returns ...this would save time and potential missing of these warnings

  8. Add restriction on changing bank account details for client (in XPM and tax return).
    Given Optus and related fraud - > not all staff should have the ability to update bank account details on a client.
    There should be the ability to restrict this so procedures - eg phone calls to verify etc - can be put in place.

  9. Why do we need to have all of the 'Z do not use' sections appear when setting up a new pack that then need to be unticked? It would be better to have them unticked in the first place

Update New Zealand trust financial reporting templates to comply with the Tax Administration (Financial Statement - Domestic Trusts) Order 2022 as set out in Inland Revenue's Operational Statement OS 22/02, including removing reference to repealed Trustees Act 1956 and replacing with Trusts Act 2019.

  11. Keyboard shortcuts in Xero Practice Manager

    Currently only have a shortcut for search (forward slash) in XPM, would like more shortcuts (like there are in Blue Xero) - eg:
    Dashboard / Clients / Jobs / Tax / Business / Reports tabs.

  13. I often have a draft bill for recurring expenses that I need to edit. When I update the amounts, it updates the total on the bottom, but it doesn't update the amount in the upper right corner (why not?), so I have to edit that as well. This creates another keystroke and mouse move that is annoying. What is the purpose of that total remaining the same after I have made the other changes? It should update automatically.

  15. In Xero Practice Manager's dashboard be able to enter leave by selecting a start and end date. So we do not have to enter each day one at a time, especially when you have long service leave to enter! This is extremely time consuming and irksome.

  16. Xero sign/Adobe sign

    Esigning and the portal is excellent and very useful.

    I get worried unlike when you use Adobe DC directly, Xero Sign does not give trails of who signed back to you.

    Whilst probably not too likely things were not signedd correctly, I think we need more robust authentication with the IP address and the email address that was used to login being recorded into a report.

    The drill down to confirm the transaction is not very helpful and I cannot work out in the secured pdf where to easily see thse things.

    Most other providers have better…

  18. Suggestion to have the ability to enter 'Ad Hoc' time in the same place you enter time for jobs - i.e. in the Timesheets screen, rather than going through the 'Global Search' screen.

    You would select a client first, then select Ad Hoc Time or a job (if an active one exists).

    Also, when selecting a client, it would also be handy to be able to start typing a few letters from anywhere within the client name, rather than having to type the first letter or scroll down using the picklist.

It would be great to be able to create our own reports using any datas available in the system and not be restricted to the pre-existing one : my need is to mix some information from the payables with information from the third party card but I cannot do that directly in the solution I need to export both and do it in excel.

  20. With the new layout the old reports - even the customisable ones do not have all these new fields that can be chosen and exported.

    Eg there are now multiple phone fields which is great but I use this data to export to my phone system but now I cant.

    Hi Matthew, appreciate you sharing how the ability to export clients' information can supports your workflows, particularly when integrating with external systems like phone or CRM tools.

    This idea has now moved to Gaining Support, which means it’s open for the community to vote and add comments. With the new layout, some of the fields available in the old reports, like multiple phone numbers — aren’t currently included in exports. Hearing how this affects your workflow, and what fields you’d find most useful, helps our product team understand the real-world impact and prioritise improvements.
