  1. Please bring back the search via address in the client page this was so helpful as it enabled us to find children or partners that may have a different last name and link them to the group.
    Previous layout was a lot better, disappointed in changes.

    Thanks for explaining how you use address search to group family members; that context is very helpful.


    Since this is a request to restore a previous layout/feature, I’ve moved it to Feedback. While rollback requests don’t use the “Gaining Support” status, our product teams do review them to understand how UI changes affect workflows.


    For now, you can still audit shared addresses by exporting your client list to CSV.

  2. Please add the address column back when you are viewing a client group. With new change to XPM we now have to go into each entity and make a note of what address they are at.

  3. 1) Revert the DISPLAY name to be larger again.
    2) JOBS - keep current and archived on one page, like it previously was is PM.
    3) Discontinue to automation of opening a new tab each time you click on a job.

  4. When viewing archived jobs and current jobs, it automatically presets to the oldest job. I change the view and each time the screen refreshes, it reverts back. There should be an option to keep jobs listed in the order you set it as, as a permanent setting, not reverting every single time we click on a new screen.

  5. As good as ATOmate is, it doesn't actually integrate to Xero. Every day or two, we need to manually run a couple of reports to get the correct data into ATOmate. According to ATOmate, this is an issue with the Xero API. There is a related issue with fee from refund integration, it would be great if the API could be adjusted to allow additional data to flow directly.

  6. Notes for Clients - XPM migrated from using the 'Folder' field to a new 'Tag' field within the client record’s Notes section, to unifying 'practice management tools'. What was the point of this? We could run a report of notes and filter with 'Folder'. But with the new 'tags' you can only filter by tags within a single client. This makes no sense and has removed significant functionality of the notes in XPM. Also, "existing folder-based notes will be automatically migrated" has not happened - existing notes have not been updated with tags.

    Hi there,


    I can definitely see how a "Credit Stop" indicator would provide a great safety net when managing client accounts.


    Existing Functionality Currently, Xero doesn’t have a specific checkbox for this. A common workaround used by many is to add "STOP" or "HOLD" to the start of the Contact Name. This ensures a clear warning appears the moment that client is selected for an invoice or quote.


    Next Steps I have moved your post to our Feedback section for the product team to review. Because this request covers two distinct features—a new field in Contacts and a functional warning in Invoicing—our community rules suggest posting them as individual ideas to get the best visibility for voting.

  8. Last Friday I was working on adding individual clients to Groups with no issue. Today however there appears to be several issues wrong with the process now with the new GUI system.

    1. When I press the 'Add to group' button, it shows a scrollable list of Groups and an option to create a new Group. What has disappeared is the search bar where you could type in part or all of the Group's name in order to filter the scrollable Group list according to your search. Now that this feature is gone I have to manually scroll the list to…

A few recent updates have made it Xeroefficient - 1) when clicking the search bar before you could paste in the search bar straight away - now you need to click into the search bar before pasting which is an extra unnecessary step. 2) before you could go straight to financial settings from the home page in the drop down menu, now you need to click on accounting settings first and then click on financial settings.

  10. The recent global Xero outage at the end of October highlighted a challenge for firms relying heavily on XPM: when Xero goes down, so does a big part of your workflow. Many teams reported staff unable to progress work because core systems were offline.

    How do other Xero Partners handle business continuity during these outages? Would it be valuable to have an integrated or secondary platform that allows firms to keep operating to some degree until Xero is back online?

    In P&L we have the concept of FX Calculations for foreign currencies:
    Bank Revaluations
    Realised Currency Gains
    Unrealised Currency Gains

    By design this takes the full amount of debt/credit and converts it to a base currency.

    But in situations where COGS are paid for in the same currency, there should be a concept of only applying these FX movements on the net margin remaining.

    For example.
    I have an Australian business. Base currency AUD.
    I send an invoice of EURO 100,000 to my Parisian client for the month. I receive the 100k in my EURO Foreign Currency Bank…

    Hey Matthew, thanks for raising this with us as an Idea. I can see you have raised a case with Xero Support and I apologise if it sounded like this should be an option in Xero. The feature you are looking for would be in an inventory specific platform and not on an accounting platform which Xero is. For accounting and IFRS purposes the FX calculation must be calculated on the while amounts and not on the margins. Again apologies for the confusing wording this is not possible on an accounting only based platform.

  12. Is there a report on payments made after the due date to easily identify those not paid. Also I there a report available of payments made by INC year. This is to identify misdirected payments. If not can this please be made available.

    Thanks for raising your idea with us.

    This idea includes two separate report requests:

    1. A report showing payments made after the due date to identify unpaid items (note: unpaid invoices are already covered by existing reports).
    2. A report showing payments by “INC year,” which appears to refer to a custom field or tracking method for spotting misdirected payments.

    Because these are two distinct ideas, the post doesn’t meet the “one idea per feature” guideline and is treated as Feedback.

    To help clarify your requests:

    1. Late payments / unpaid invoices

    Xero already provides tools for this:

    • Aged Receivables Detail shows all unpaid invoices and how overdue they are.
    • To see invoices that were paid late, use Receivable Invoice Detail, add Last Payment Date and Due Date, then export to Excel to calculate the difference.

    2. Payments by ‘INC year’ (or similar grouping)

  13. I want a report to be generated from Xero tax where i can view the total number of personal tax returns along with the bifurcation of tax returns on the basis of their current status. For instance, the report should have the total number of tax returns that need to be completed for the tax year 24-25 and then the breakdown of the same as per the status.

    Thanks for submitting your idea about generating a report on personal tax return statuses.

    We've classified your submission as Feedback because the title was too vague, and the functionality you are requesting largely exists in the product today.

    You can already achieve a report that shows the volume of personal tax returns and their current status using the following tools:

    • Xero HQ/Tax Dashboard
    • Tax Return Status Report

    If you feel the existing reports are too complicated or lack specific data, you could use a title like this when resubmitting:
