  1. Our existing tax software has a summary page that is automatically generated and goes alongside the CT600 that includes the payment amount, due date, bank details to use and payment reference. I.e. a perfect 1 page summary to give to the client so they know what to pay.
    It would be great if Xero Tax could incorporate this into their solution so that the payment details don't have to be sent to the client separately.

  2. When there is a Managed Fund distribution on the prefill, the distribution is automatically entered into the Managed fund distribution worksheet. If there is no figure, it pulls through a $0.00 which leads to a $0.00 at the primary producer label L. This then automatically triggers the income averaging to which you manually have to OPT out of. Please fix this issue.

  3. Is there a way to flag a client, ie Warning/Ban or make them Inactive but keep their history in Xero?

    We have a system that have a number of clients with similar/identical names and we would like flag a client for particular reason, ie account terms etc or ban etc.

  5. Sooo many suggestions! A shortcut CGT entry, could be easily done by making the boxes in the CGT summary clickable like the expenses area. Thereby not having to complete a full schedule for everything.

  6. The current livestock schedule in trust tax return (and probably others) is insufficient.

    We calculate livestock on Market Value in the Financials and inset these figures into the Tax Return, then use the Reconciliation area to bring it back to Average Cost.

    This worked perfectly fine in MYOB Tax, as we could overwrite the average cost calculation in the livestock trading schedule. However in Xero Tax we can't overwrite the closing stock value.

  10. Would like the ability to be able to view all clients on screen in Xero HQ for the purposes of merging duplicates as being able to click the 'Show more clients' means it's difficult to navigate where there is a trading name and legal name in different parts of the list.

    Hi community,

    Our product team recently made significant improvements to the client list! 🥳

    You can now choose how many clients to show per page, making it easier to see many more clients. You can now also sort your client list using many more columns. Previously the only column you could sort by is client name but now you can hover over all the columns (organisation name, email address, phone number, business number, subscription type, industry classification, connected banks, financial year, Bank feed deprecation) on the client list and sort. 

    Finally, you can also merge or add clients to groups from the list page. 

    The product team don't have any plans to enable the ability to view all clients on one screen which is why we're shifting this to 'not planned' but we believe that these combined changes will provide a better navigation experience.

  11. It would be useful to have the ability to mark a document pack as complete even if some of the signatures are missing.

    We have had occasions where trustees refuse to sign via document packs after the clients have already signed. We then have to print the partially signed documents and send hard copies for trustees to sign.

    This leaves the document pack incomplete. The only option available is to cancel the pack, not ideal The ability to mark the pack as complete would be a great addition.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate your interest and contributing to the idea here.

    While this is something our teams are keeping a close eye on, we want to be honest that for the time being we do not have any plans for developing automatic calculations for this with Xero Tax(UK).

    Atm, we're waiting to see how HMRC will support farmers averaging within MTD IT before making any plans to develop a solution within Xero. We will share if there are any updates surrounding this for you, here.

  13. We want to be able to report on any clients with outstanding balances at any point in time, and be able to action it before the ATO start calling us or the client to chase the debt.
    There is already a report on the ATO Portal – See attached screen shot. The report contains any AS’s that are overdue and also shows any clients debt/credit they may have on the ICA.
    We also want to be able to safely ignore any and all statements of account that the ATO spam us with because often, they issue a statement of account…

  14. We would like to be able to run a listing of physical payments made to IRD by clients over a date range that shows the client name, IRD number, payment date recorded by IRD, tax type and the tax period/year that it was applied to.

    This would enable us to easily identify when clients pay tax to the wrong period.

  18. It'd be great if we could have a "Mark as Complete" option for Document Packs. We've got a bunch of Doc Packs that will forever sit in 'sent' because of various reasons and it would be great to clean them up.
    Examples of these situations - when a doc pack is sent to multiple people, and maybe one of them dropped into the office to sign the financials in person - we've now got a partly signed document in a Doc Pack, and a physical signature as well.   19. It would be very helpful if there was a way to produce a Taxable Payments Annual Report via Xero Tax. I have a couple of clients that are a large construction company, that uses SAP for its accounting. This is not SBR enabled, and does not produce a .tpar file in the format required for lodgement with the ATO. Currently they provide an excel, which has to be transcribed onto the ATO portal. It would be great if we could upload a csv to produce the necessary report and lodge via Xero Tax, and save us significant time.

  20. Xero Tax (UK) Ability to bring across more than 30 Fixed Assets.
    I am really disappointed to find that after entering the Fixed Asset details into the register, Xero Tax only brings across 30. Can this be looked at as manual entry could be time consuming!
