  2. BAS & IAS Filters.
    We would like to be able to setup filters to separate BAS's & IAS's that have the same due date.
    There is the option in the filter, tax type, to select 'Business Activity Statement' or 'Instalment Activity Statement', however, all Activity Statements are listed as tax type AS. We would like to be able to change the tax type to either be BAS or IAS.

  3. Ability to allocate disbursements against a client - rather than a job.

    Where small costs (postage/courier, ASIC fees, software fees) are paid on behalf of a client, we shouldn't have to set-up a job just for these minor items - which will then sit as an open job for months until we bill the client next.

  4. All other access roles can be done from HQ, except for this one.

    Frustrating when this access has not been given to the staff member (overlooked) and staff member needs to create ABA file and cant.

  6. I believe it would be very beneficial if there was an option to have an overall notes section for each column, and not just only a notes section for each specific return / activity statement. Rather this notes option would just be for the client as a whole, so the impotant notes could be stored here. It is easier to record previous discussions that may have been made about the client and their specific situations. This will make it much more accessible to see the whole history of the client with just one click.

  8. The ability to be able to search for client code, email address, TFN and mobile number in the global search.
    you are able to search for a phone number but the search doesn't include the contact phone numbers

    Hi Renea, I notice you added your idea here to Practice Manager, can I just confirm - Are you looking to search Client contacts within Practice Manager, or Contacts within an individual organisation? Thanks 

  9. We have a number of firm incentives for both partners and managers relating to their individual client portfolios. An ability to review their control of WIP, billings and receipts should not be a major effort. Or is Pulse the answer?

  11. AU Tax - Error notifications. When a return is rejected by the ATO and appears in the Error tab of the Returns section of Xero Tax, an email should be triggered to alert the tax agent so that the error can be rectified immediately.

    Hi everyone, thanks for your valuable feedback and engagement with this idea. We're aware of the importance of real-time error notifications for an efficient workflow.

    While we can' make any commitments at this stage this is something our product teams have lined up for exploration a little later this year and we'll be sure to keep you looped in on any progress here.

  12. Suggestion for development - We continually have problems with WFF transfers to associated entities. We have tried phoning IRD to put a halt on the account, then follow up with secure mail advising what transfers are required - however more often than not the halt is not implemented correctly. Would be great if Xero could implement something (even a tick box identifying transfers required) that would then trigger at IRD for them to hold funds pending transfer. Alternatively the WFF credit could be added into the tax returns, and transfers done via the return. (I have worked with other tax…

    Hi community, thanks for your support and sharing in the idea here. Diving into your comments, there are a few different ideas that we're picking up on within this one thread;

    1. ability to change the email address/contact of a sent pack
    2. ability to add additional documents to a sent pack, and
    3. the ability to edit metadata of a sent pack

    For the first, we'd like to better understand what is driving the need to change the email address?  is it down to a typo when entering it? or if its on a tax return, is it wrong on the client record etc?

    Although it's not possible to add additional documents to a pack right now, creating and sending a new document pack is essentially the same - Is there any reason this isn't suitable?

    Lastly, it'd be good to get more substance of how the ability to rename a pack…

  15. In the XPM report builder, when a firm is working as a team based client and each team composed of several staff. It would be beneficial to have the option to include additional fields of the job manager and partner in the invoice report. Currently, we are only able to select the manager and partner at the client level.

    If this feature were added, it would enable the accurate generation of reports for each staff member who completes a job and track better if each staff has a KPI of a particular budget that he/she needs to reach each month.

  17. The ability to add share class in relationships.
    Currently you can only add the number of shares.
    However, we have a lot of companies that have different share class types (A Class, B Class, ORD Class etc).
    SUGGEST: adding a field under number of shares where you can type the share class (see attached example).

    This is a critical feature for our firm that is missing from XPM.

  18. It would be good to filter deleted clients like we can for archived clients on XPM custom reports. At the moment they display on the Income Tax report that compares clients with the ATO list and there is no way to filter them out. It makes finding clients who have dropped off the ATO list difficult.

It would be really good if when the accounts and corporation tax return have been sent out for digital signature to a client that there was a send receipt with a date and time stamp to show its been sent to the client with details of what email address it was sent to. When sending out lots of requests over various different clients it is easy to forget if you have sent the signature requests out.

  20. From what I understand is common in a lot of firms is when a client leaves/dies/etc their client profile is archived in XPM and the data persists into infinity.

    Given the latest high profile data breaches is would be good if XPM had a Housekeeping module where firms could identify archived clients where the attached Personally Identifiable Information (In particular TFN, Bank account, phone/mobile and addresses) is no longer needed and permanently remove it in a structured process.

    A similar process may need to be created for the forms that we generate from XPM so they they are permanently removed…
